Zach laughed softly," I think you will stop before that happens." He said. "You know one day after you left Isaiah asked why I didn't have a lip ring too."

Lucas laughed. "He's probably thinking he needs one too." he said. Lucas let it go from between his teeth and smiled.
((He's still faceless, Tink.))Lucas nodded. He ran a hand through his hair and thought he probably should've gone home. He'd been having trouble with his attraction to Zach and not having the distraction of a three year old was making it harder.
((Okay let me fine someone)) Zach looked over at Lucas and sighed softly trying not to just say something he would regret later. He looked over and then at what h was making for dinner
Lucas reached up and scratched his jaw. "So when is Isaiah start preschool?" he asked, trying to keep things mundane.
Lucas nodded. "Got it. I guess my schedule will change if I'm around by then?" he asked, leaning back against the counter beside him.
Zach nodded slightly," I would hope you are still around then." E answered. "We will just have to figure something out."
Lucas hoped he was still around too. "Sure. Probably to early to ask the question anyways." he admitted. He had just we needed something to distract himself with.
Lucas reached up to rub the back of his neck. "Well, I've been meaning to talk to you. I've been offered a full time job at a store in the mall and it pays twice what I earn working fast food." he said, biting his lip and sort of looking at Zach.
Zach straightened up and looked at Lucas," I see.. Are you going to take that job?" He asked thinking that this would put a small kink in his plans.
Lucas didn't answer for a moment. He needed the money. A nineteen year old can only pay for so much with a McDonald's job. "I don't know yet." he finally answered. At the very least, he wasn't going to just leave Zach hanging. He would stay around until Zach found another babysitter if he took the job.
Zach nodded a little bit," Well if you decide to take the job I'm not going to be mad at you for it... Just come around when you can because Isaiah will miss you." He told him and thought so will I.
Lucas nodded and stuffed his hands in his pockets. Looking much more like a 19 year old than he did most of the time. "I will." he said and nodded again. He didn't want Isaiah to think he would never see him again.
Zach nodded," alright if you need any help with anything I'm glad to help you after everything you have done for me and Isaiah." He commented softly looking at the other boy seeing how young he looked right then
Lucas nodded, running a hand through his hair. "Thanks." he said. He didn't know what he was going to do. He loved Isaiah and knew he had fallen for Zach. He really didn't want to stop watching Isaiah but he wasn't making enough to support himself.
Zach looked over at him," You know you can ask me for help if you need it." He said seeing the slight worry on his face
"I know, it's just a hard decision to make." Lucas said, his lips quirking up in a helpless smile. He looked over at Zach and then looked away. He definitely should've gone home.
Zach nodded," ohh I'm sure." He answered softly looking at him as he stirred something in the pan. He didn't say anything more as he put what was in the pan on some chicken and then put all of it into the oven
Lucas watched him for a minute then looked away. He looked around the kitchen as if he hadn't seen it before even though none of it was new him to him. He had seen it everyday for weeks.
Zach was getting frustrated with himself for not being able to just come right out and say what he had wanted to for weeks. He sighed a little bit and looked back at Lucas for a second
Lucas looked back over at Zach and puzzled at his expression. "Are you alright, man?" he asked Zach and raised a brow at him. "I'll stay if you're worried about it." Lucas said.
Zach nodded coming out of his thought," what did you say?" He asked," sorry I wasn't paying attention."
"I asked if you were alright. Then said I keep watching Isaiah if you're worried about it." Lucas answered, looking over at him, a slight frown on his face.
"Ohh I'm fine just thinking and I don't want you to have to struggle to find money... If you found a better job then I want you to take it." He answered
Lucas sighed and ran a hand over his face. This was probably the most difficult decision he has had to make in his life. For most people, this wouldn't be hard. But with the attachment he has developed with both of them, it was significantly harder.
Zach like over at him as he watched Lucas with a small frown on his face. He sighed a little bit and just went back to cooking
Lucas cleared his throat softly then went out to the living room. He wasn't sure why things had become awkward in there but it made him wonder. Lucas and Zach didn't really have awkward moments.
Zach watched as Lucas left and wondered what was up. He didn't ask though just let him leave with a soft sigh
Lucas sat in one of the living room chairs and ran a hand through his hair. He should probably ask if Zach was actually alright but he couldn't do it for some reason.
Zach walked out of the kitchen after a bit," Lucas?" He called softly not knowing where the kid had gone.
Lucas looked over towards. "I'm in the living room." he answered then got up and met him halfway. "Yeah?"
Zach turned towards the living room only to be standing right in front of him," ohh.. There you are I was just making sure everything is alright." He asked looking at Lucas
Lucas smiled softly. "Yeah. Everything's fine. What made you think otherwise?" he asked curiously. Hadn't Zach felt the awkwardness that had been floating around the kitchen?
"Ohh just the way you went out of the kitchen.. I thought I said something to upset you or some thing like that." He answered shrugging a little bit," I tend to do that."
Lucas shook his head. "No. It's just been a hard week." he said, running a hand through his hair as he looked at Zach. "I'm gonna leave after dinner. Go home and get some stuff done."
Zach nodded," Alright then... Oh before you leave don't let me forget to pay you." He said. " I meant to have everything ready yesterday but I ran out of checks and they just got in today."
"It's fine." Lucas dismissed but nodded in acknowledgement to his request. "Alright. I'll remind you." he reassured as he started to toy with his lip ring again.
I had an idea. What if it Lucas took the job and it was desperation to keep him around or something that pushed Zach to show his feelings to him?
Lucas nodded then went and sat back down. He took out his phone and distracted himself with Facebook.
Ohhhh I like it.. We can do that.) Zach sighed softly and shook his head. He couldn't just ask the kid out that would be strange and Zach didn't even really know how to date anyone anymore.
