Yeeeeees! And Kaden needs to beat the stuffing out of Collin!

YES! YES! YES!!!! Then we could have it about their children, and grandchildren!

Yep, besides she has all but the last book written anyway. Not a lot of budge room to add any of these suggestions!

That would be nice, hah, although I am not a fan of your "...catch up with everyone who survives the series." I don't want to acknowledge the plausibility of any of our, ahem, her characters not surviving!

Plus, there'd be little Jaces and Kyrins and so forth to cheer for, admire, and follow through struggles and joys (and view through Jace and Kyrin's eyes!) - maybe even multiple generations of them. :) Think about how wonderful it would be for Jace and Kyrin to watch children and grandchildren grow up in a world that possibly has turned back to Elom - who have childhoods that they themselves only dreamed of.

I just deleted my statement. I probably should have reread before posting. I didn't mean for it to come across like it did. I don't mean to ever say that elderly people are anyway inferior to the character of a younger person. It isn't that way at all. Most people that are older have a great death of character and a wisdom that can only come with age that is beautiful. I greatly admire that.
There is just something about following a character through a series and watching the door close gently on their life. And it almost seems rude to open up that door again and pop in to see how they're doing.
I do get how wonderful it would be to get to see their children being able to worship freely because of their sacrifices. But to me I am happy knowing that it will happen. I don't actually have to read about it.
I hope I explained myself. *glances nervously over what I've written*

(Or, what about Rebekah and Liam? They'd be super cute, I think . :))
PS. I promise I don't want a Collin, Kyrin, Jace love triangle. I just think it'd be interesting to see how Jace reacts to having Collin around. :P

Yes! Totally!

She was the original believer to nearly be executed in Resistance... and think how much she suffered each time Jace was hurt...
(I know what you're saying, though.)

*gasp* I never even thought of Stephen!! Don't say that. It can't be Marcus or Liam. It just can't. Or anyone for that matter. :'(

Yes, that would be really interesting. I like that idea.
And NO! Liam and Marcus CANNOT be Stephen! I don't care who is, JUST NOT LIAM OR MARCUS!!!!

Yeah. I think William was supposed to be more analogous to the Old Testament martyrs . . .

Um . . . I do? :-P
He was the first Christian martyr--EVER--and thus holds an incredibly important place in the story of Christianity; and that's really what this allegory is all about. So I feel we need him. (Plus, there's no way we can get away with just one main-character death throughout the whole series. No. Way.)

*hands you a tissue* I knowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.

But I don't know if any of them can be fairly be said to symbolize CHRISTIAN martyrdom, yet; because their Christ-figure hasn't shown up yet? (I'm almost halfway through Samara's Peril . . . no spoilers, please!!!!)

YES I AM.
*nods rapidly and hyperventilates*
It was the first time he had eVER said "I love you" to aNYBODY and I jUST cAN'T (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

I knooooowwwwwww. Just.....everything about that section. *cries from happiness* (Also how he rescued Kyrin? And just...everything about them??? <3 <3 <3)

*cries with you* I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT AGH.
(See, now I know how you feel waiting to read my stuff. Retribution has overtaken me. :-P)

And sometimes worse, but you know, sshh spoilers.
(HA! I feel like I shouldn't be glad about that, but I kinda am. ;))

Hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha . . . it's fine. Writers need to be readers, too, sometimes. After all, if we didn't go through the same tortures our audiences do, we would have no idea HOW to torture them effectively, right?
*realizes how sadistic that sentence sounded*
*backs away slowly*

Yep. *nods sadly* Nobody realizes what a life we lead, we writers . . .

YES I AM.
*nods rapidly and hyperventilates*
It was t..."
WHAAAAA!!! That part was THE BEST!!!! <3 <3 <3 Gah! I cried and reread it over and over again. XD

1. Stephen was martyred by the Jews. There was, thus, a distinction between belief in God and the belief that Jesus was God's son.
2. Persecution in Ilyon is 90% carried out by Dacian, the Roman Empire so to speak, who makes no distinction between following Elom and following Elon.
3. I will grant that William was not the first execution for a believer, but he was the first public one for someone of high rank. His execution is what gave Dacian the boldness to finally crack down on a full-scale persecution.
4. This is what happened with Stephen's stoning - it made killing the Christians the thing to do with them.
Unless my above point of Elom-believers deciding that Elon was fake happens, and these believers start persecuting those who believe Elon was Elom's son, UNLESS A DISTINCTION OCCURS, we do not need a Stephen.

And sometimes worse, but you know, sshh spoilers.
(HA! I feel like I shouldn't be glad about that, but I kinda am. ;))"
Hahahahahahahahah..."
Hahaha, I agree. It definitely takes time to learn the "art" of torture. (That sounds even worse than what you just said, though. :P)
