Two Hearts: When I Said I Do, I Meant Forever
The story, set in Dillon, Montana at the present time, opens with JAXON TAGGET proposing to his high school sweetheart, ANNIE BRADLEY.
Annie has baggage. Physically and emotionally scarred by her unfaithful father, Annie has been poisoned by her mother, PATRICIA BRADLEY, since the age of eight that all men are like her cheating father. Annie, madly in love with Jaxon, marries him contrary to her mother’s wishes.
Because of her mother’s repeated warnings about men, Annie questions Jaxon’s every move. When Jaxon leaves for Colorado on a business trip with his two high school friends, Annie suspects he is secretly meeting with a woman. After concluding his business, Jaxon, flying a private airplane, returns to Montana. Annie, angry about Jaxon’s secret rendezvous, tells Jaxon not to come home. Unknown to Annie or Jaxon, a Las Vegas “collection agency” has sabotaged Jaxon’s private airplane to eliminate one of Jaxon’s friends in the plane. The plane crashes. A shootout occurs when the collectors, following behind the private plane, come to finish what the crash didn’t.
When Jaxon doesn’t come home, Annie suspects he returned to the other woman. Annie hits the town, intent on making Jaxon jealous by finding her own action. CHARLES DOWNS, one of Jaxon’s friends, invites Annie to his house. A news flash at the restaurant’s TV shows the crash site of a small plane. It’s Jaxon’s plane. No survivors flashes across the bottom of the screen. Jaxon is dead, and the last thing Annie had told him was to not come home. Distraught, Annie decides to end her life. Just as she is about to drive her car off a cliff, her phone rings. It’s Jaxon. He’s calling from the cell phone of the man that rescued him. Jaxon is alive.
