Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments Sorry Cait, for some reason I never got the original notification. Yes, just the mention of a poet will work, but it does have to be a well known poet.

message 52: by Cait S (new)

Cait S No worries! Is Dylan Thomas well known enough to count? He's the guy who wrote the "do not go gentle into that dark night" poem.

message 53: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments Yeah. I would say he is. I'm not big on poetry and I knew who he was.

message 54: by Cait S (new)

Cait S Would a cheesecake count as pastry? I just found lemon cheesecake which I'm not sure if that works or not but it does sound flippin delicious.

message 55: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments Does the cheesecake have a bottom layer? Does it mention what kind of bottom layer it has? Cheesecake is so tricky cause it doesn't always have a bottom layer and when it does it's almost always cookie/graham cracker. But sometimes it is a pastry crust....

message 56: by Cait S (new)

Cait S It doesn't say, no. Just says it's "that lemon cheesecake that you liked from Lily's."

I'll keep looking :) Someone's bound to eat something lemon eventually.

message 57: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments If not, you can keep that on the back burner and use if it you can't find something else. Cheesecake is tricky. lol

Would this work for earthquake?

Cait S Would talking about the Space Needle count for skyscraper?

message 63: by Paris (last edited Aug 07, 2015 11:01PM) (new)

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments Okay Cait, I could go either way on this and since I am wavering, I'll go ahead and say yes.

According to wikipedia a skyscraper is both

A) A skyscraper is a tall, continuously habitable building of over 14 floors, mostly designed for office, commercial and residential uses.

B) A relatively big building may be considered a skyscraper if it protrudes well above its built environment and changes the overall skyline.

So with A, the Space Needle wouldn't fit cause it doesn't have any floors really until you get to the saucer. But with B, it is a big building nad it does protrude well above it's built environment and it definitely changes the overall skyline. I can't imagine my city without it, but when I do it's not as cool. Especially if you're looking at Seattle from West Seattle like in the first picture. The second is from another angle.

message 64: by Cait S (new)

Cait S Awesome :) Thank you!

I've never been to Seattle so I've only ever seen the Space Needle from like...the beginning of football games that are played there, when they pan around the city lol

Eclair! I have read like 4 books with bakers for professions, and NADA!

I keep thinking I'm just gonna stumble across these naturally...but I think I'm gonna have to hunt a little pre-read for a few of these.

Lindy (lindylee) | 375 comments In a word that is actualkly two words as in curly hiar, top floor, do they have to be together or jsut in the same sentence?

message 89: by Paris (new)

Paris (pah13) | 4285 comments It could be something like "her hair was very curly". It doesn't have to say "I really liked her curly hair".

With those things it just has to be obvious that they are talking about curly hair and the top floor. It can't be something like "she could see the top shelf from the floor" cause that isn't the top floor of a building.

Does that make sense Lindy?

Nice!!! I was so mad yesterday, I read Dance Upon the Air and it had like 30 words in it, including eclair! I was like why did I not read this book DURING THE CHALLENGE?!?!? I would have finished so much sooner!
