Too much left for the third book?

This trilogy is pretty great so far, but the first two books moved at such a slow pace, I don't see how the third book can catch up to Kvothe and Bast, and then finish the story. He still has to kill a king, rescue a princess, get kicked out of the university, and start a war. (Probably a bunch of other stuff i don't remember.)
Despite the first two books being reeealllly long, the third one is gonna pull a Brisingr-Inheritance on us.

The first book was incredible, but I think the second book dragged in large parts, and the story could have been moved along much quicker.
I think I should practice weight-lifting ahead of book 3 being released, so that I have the power and stamina to hold such a weighty tome for long periods of time...
