Christine | 69 comments Finished A Roux of revenge. Don't ask me why I'm reading this series in reverse order. But I am loving this series.

Christine | 69 comments So I unfortunately slacked off in August and never finished my book.
But I am back on track. I finished the first in the soup lovers series, a spoonful of murder, and I loved it.
I am going to read if walls could talk for the October challenge.

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This is the second book in the bookmobile cat series. Minnie is driving the bookmobile when she is flagged down by a woman whose husband, a famous artist, has had a stroke and needs to get to a hospital. Minnie helps her get her husband into the bookmobile and takes them to the hospital. Minnie strikes up a friendship with the wife, Barb, and she is the one Barb calls when the police think her husband left the rehab facility he was in and killed a woman. Minnie doesn't believe that he committed the crime and searches for answers.

This series is quickly becoming a new favorite of mine. The characters are lovable and the mystery is good. I love Eddie and his antics and how Minnie treats him like a person. The side characters add so much color and fun to the story that it is hard not to love them. And her Aunt Frances matchmaking is so fun. I will definitely be reading more in this series.

and Pouncing on Murder

Pouncing on Murder (A Bookmobile Cat Mystery, #4) Pouncing on Murder by Laurie Cass

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

This is the fourth book in the bookmobile cat series. When an accident claims the life of Minnie's favorite syrup provider, Henry. On one of her bookmobile stops, Minnie meets Adam, who was friends with Henry and was with him when he died. When someone tries to run down Adam, it becomes clear that Henry's death wasn't an accident. Minnie sets out to find out who is responsible.

I love Minnie and Eddie so much. I was glad that Minnie broke up with her boyfriend as he was starting to get on my nerves. I also liked the evolution of Deputy Ash. I can't wait to read the next book.
