Looking for some blog feedback

Hi all,

I'm looking for some feedback on the blog I recently started on Tumblr: http://amrycroftwriter.tumblr.com/.

I was wondering if the look and feel of it is working for you, or does is need help? I like simple designs, but maybe others think it should be flashier? Do I need more colorful content, or just more content in general.

Also, does anyone out there have some magical formula for driving readers to your blog? I have Tumblr hooked up to post to Twitter at the same time, but this doesn't seem to have gotten me more traction in either place.

There are threads in several Goodreads discussion groups, specifically designated for the self-promotion of blogs.

Just focus upon publishing your personal thoughts, ideas, and interests. Don't fret about how many follow your blog on a regular basis. Continue to write about interesting subjects in an intelligent and entertaining manner. Readers will gradually discover and follow your blog.
