“Yeah...I guessed that they were going to be stuck up but not to this extent. I begged Gram to enrol me out of this snobbish school but she said to wait till the end of the year” She mustered up a smile even though she felt stupid and smiled brightly. She was silent for a long time and she quickly dragged her eyes away from James face, hoping he didn’t feel sorry for her. She had enough of people feeling sorry for her just because of her past. She pushed her blond lock of hair away from her face.”Please don’t feel sorry for me, Its kinda annoying when people do, just forget what I told you” Crystal said. She quickly changed the subject"Do you like sherlock homes or is it an assignment" Crystal found it interesting but wasn't even into it.James did not seem like a reader.

“Dont get too happy, you’re not really my first .I had hundreds in my old school and if anyone gave me a chance, maybe I’d have hundreds here. However, by my honour you can be my first here ” She teased in a posh voice and flipped her long blond hair pretending to be in a mood. She smirked slightly and started giggling. She paused when he asked if she liked books and smiled widely.”Yeah a lot .These are revision books because I am trying to catch up with everyone here which shouldn’t be a challenge if there like what I’ve seen so far” She sniggered playfully but quietly; it was the library after all. The girls here seem to care more about their makeup than studying
Crystal laughed ”you as a School council, well there isn’t that much of a challenge is there” She waved her hand round pointing at boys playing games on computers instead of studying and girls texting behind books .She smirked as she saw the exchange between James and the girl ”You're pretty famous are you” So why you talking to me she thought but didn’t say it out loud . Instead she grinned as he looked back at her,”Well who are you close with in this school, like who's your friend or crush” She said genuinely curious. He properly wont tell her his crush but its worth a try.
I changed it, is it easier to understand now
Crystal looked shocked ”Really, thats just very surprising” She frowned and wondered why a boy as hot as him wouldn’t have a Girlfriend ”Whoa well there lots of girls waiting” She said grinning, remembering all the girls who smile at him eagerly. She didn’t have one either, sure she dated some boys but it was never serious,She went to prom, some she kissed but she was ok with dumping them.Whoa i sounded really mean she thought silently
She blushed remembering the boys at he old school and how they drooled after her, she was always kind to them but she was secretly scared.S he jerked when he called her ”beautiful” She smirked and said “Maybe?” She giggled at the confused look on his face; it made him look so cute."Well it's been nice meeting you James, do you wanna give me a tour!" She smiled, her blue eyes twinkling with excitement. Being around James made her so carefree and happy. She slung her arm around his shoulders in her friendly manner and said, "Well, I don't really care. I can find a way after I get lost about hundreds of times ... after much trial and error! but do you want to..." She laughed and then dropped her arm . She was kind of nervous. This boy wasn't like other boys, but she liked him for his openness. He didn’t act cool, It just came to him naturally that was what made him special. His grins left her momentarily breathless He was naturally charming and after all he was the only person talking to her. Talking to him wasn’t a pressure, she didn’t have to flirt and force herself to laugh at his jokes. She still didn't understand what he thought of her,
Crystal wasn’t really shown if her crush on him was real, it was early after all but she liked him as a friend. He made her laugh and blush and he seem ok not at all as vain as she thought he would be. "Thats great. Well, let's go then!! I haven't seen that much yet! I heard that the school facilities are absolutely magnificent!!!!" She smiled, knowing that she looked really dorky but she didn’t care, well not really and pulled herself up. She straightened down her clothes hastily and returned her thick books back to the shelf. She saw girls glaring at her but she just waved back smiling. She gave him a sidelong glance. "The grand tour?”She said quietly, giving a fake courtesy and then took his hand.
Crystal smiled when she felt James lace their finger together. James ushered the glaring girl away with his charming wink and grin. She just smiled at them and gave them a slight wave, knowing that they were desperately jealous but wouldn’t do anything in front of James. She stared into James dreamy eyes as he looked back up at her and then quickly dropped her gaze. He gave her a silly bows and she blushed knowing that he was carrying on with her dorky routine of over formalities. She smiled slightly but was truly embarrassed. Crystal smirked and then said in attempt of a posh voice” Take me to you favourite place ...here” She wondered what it would be the canteen or maybe the gym. This tour was going to help her get to know him better. She giggled at her poor attempt at a posh voice. Crystal looked down and saw James staring at her with a smile on his face. She blushed red , knowing that he properly thought she was a dork. She had no idea why she even cared about what James thought about her. She looked away trying to conceal her blushed ace
Crystal tilted her head as James turned her around. She reached and touches his hand lightly which was on her chin and placed it down slowly. She smiled at his worried face and ruffled his hair cheekily. He looked so cute when he was worried ”What is it, its not somewhere gross ”She said worried hoping it wasn’t the boys gym or something. She wrinkled her nose at that thought. She gazed at him, waiting for his answer.
Crystal sighed and tilted her head at him. "I hope so." She said and grabbed her bag. She swayed his hand slightly. Crystal nodded her head and couldn't help to chuckle as he smiled at her. "Sure, let's go." She said. Crystal ran with her schoolbag thumping on her leg rhythmically being pulled on by a smiling James. She wondered where it would be, she spent half her time in her dorm or the headmistress office filling in letters, since she came to Lakewood.
((should we move to the lake topic now))
((yeah,well you can post there))
Avery continued to smile as she opened the doors to the library."This is my favorite place out of the entire school!"
"Hmmm," Avery was now standing on her tippy toes as she tried to look for Lois Lowry. "Well, you up for a good fantasy?"
"Absolutely." Abbot found The Giver before her and grabbed it for her. "Here," he said, handing it to her.
"Oh," Avery said, staring at the book. "Thank you. I have the perfect series for you to try!"She hopped up and down and smiled when she saw her all time favorite authors: Shannon Messenger.
Avery handed Abbot a copy of the first book from Keeper of the Lost Cities. "It's amazing!"
Abbot examined the cover and read the back. He grinned. "Sounds interesting! I'll start it right as soon as I'm done with the book I'm currently reading."
"The Wings of Fire series. I don't have the next one and it's out of stock here so I can start another series while I wait. I'm trying to go out of my usual reading zone." Abbot smiled.
"Oh!" Avery said with recognition. "Is that the series with dragons? I've heard so many good things about it!"
"It's pretty good so far. Of the main prophesy group my favourite dragonet is Sunny, I believe." Abbot nodded.
"Oh," Avery simply said as a slight, pinkish blush crept up her cheeks. "The dragon. Right, because you are reading about a book dragons so of course there would be a dragon named Sunny, of course. It all makes perfect sense."She turned an even brighter shade as she realized she and just blathered about things that were unnecessary.
Abbot followed and waited for her to check out her book before checking out his own. "Wanna go sit and read?" He asked her.
"That'd fantastic!" Avery exclaimed, which she later was shushed by the librarian who had check out her book.
Avery didn't shrug off his arm as she found it rather comforting, allowing Abbot to lead her to the reading area.
Abbot smiled at her, then dropped his arm to his side and sat in a chair with multiple empty chairs around it.
Avery sat in a comfortable chair, closest to Abbot, and flipped through the book."Want to to be on a timer?"
"You challenged me to a reading contest?" Avery asked, eyebrow raised. "Us Englanders can read pretty fast."
"Well being an albino with no sun resistance, staying inside and reading is my only option, so I've built up a pretty good reading speed myself," Abbot half bragged.
"We shall see!" Avery said in a challenging voice. Her eyes stared at the first page. "On your marks, get set, go!"
Avery frowned and read page after page. She wanted to enjoy the book but beating Abbot was the only thing that mattered now. "Chapter four! Ha! Take that American!"
