The year is needed because it is apart of the template and their side of the room may be decorated but not your characters side.

Uh huh. I gave his name and house.

I still don't see why year is required because it has nothing to do with his dorm room and doesn't affect where he gets put.

And their room isn't so much of a side, as it is a corner if we're stuffing four students with their own decorated spaces into a single room. Plus Teddy isn't the kind to decorate so there would be like a twin bed shoved into a corner, a dresser/nightstand combination and that would his area.

There is a template for it, but it got moved to a diffrent folder for some reason. I will fix that later, either way though, it is clearly seen if people take a look at the other's submissions.

I'm just trying to figure out why I'm needing to use a template that wasn't designated in the first place and that I've never needed to use before to get my character a dorm.

Plus I actually already have used it for Teddy technically. I gave his full name and house and described what his corner would look like. It's been clearly said that he's male so he would go into a male dorm room. His year isn't at all relevant so I don't feel the need to fill that bit out just because it's part of his template, because personality and history is part of his template too but being a nice guy with a cruddy past has nothing to do with where he's going to sleep at night.
