Like calculus, most people have a distant respect for great literature and believe it serves some mysterious, slightly important purpose, and will nod and smile when you talk about it, whilst thinking about a pretty flower they once saw and / or humming some pop song, off in a land of marshmallows and dreams.

But what are the books that are both smart AND fun? The books which you read not only out of respect for The Great Authors, but because.....and it's nothing to be ashamed of to admit it.....

....you found the books to be enjoyable?

Charleen | 46 comments Hm...maybe Oliver Twist? I just started reading it...but maybe, like you said, I'm just reading it cause it's OLIVER TWIST. I liked some parts of Little Women though... :)

Karina I want to read Oliver Twist! I didn't really like Little Women. Not sure why I didn't enjoy it.

I am not sure what would be "smart" books...
