"I think we're going to move. I mean, we have to. The rebels and Marcus father already knew we were here so it would be stupid to stay..." She huffed and consoled a cooing baby. "Cal was in Tennessee.... If not there then I don't know." She sighed and flicked her eyes to Rattler. "Thanks for helping out so much."

Emerson rolled her eyes. "I don't understand why you two are being so weird about him... You've barely even met him, and no, Bonds hasn't." The angel brushed her diggers gently over Nicolai's cheek, studying the differences between the two babies. "What makes you so paranoid about it?"

"My brother raised me," Emerson countered. "He would never hurt me. That's totally different from psycho, manipulating Malachi." Emerson did kind of see the point though. "If he was going to make a move in on Bones or the babies he would have already done it."

Emerson sighed. "I know." She was pretty sure he still didn't trust her anymore. Was she willing to risk the little built-up trust again just for Cal? Especially if Rattler was right, she didn't think she would. Cal had just come back into her life without making contact over the past few decades, and Bones was here now.

"That makes sense, I guess, but we still probably shouldn't move to that area just for Callaghan. Bones will think I'm trying to make him more important than his opinion, if that makes sense." It was the same thing as the stupid guy in the shop. "We wouldn't have been able to get Crispin back without Cal, though. And the babies..." She looked down at them and smiled softly.

Emerson snorted. "I wouldn't do that- you can't shove anything down Bones' throat. It's honestly because I would feel weird reconnecting with him and then letting it slide, especially since he's helped so much despite the situation." The angel shrugged a bit. "I'm sure they'll end up fine as long as Cal isn't a replay of Malachi or whatever."

"Tell me about it," Emerson muttered, leaning back into the couch. She sighed and wiggled the babies to lay on either side of her as her arms were sore. "I technically am, but they haven't officially thrown me out or broken my wings or anything because they haven't had the chance to. I rejoined when Bones had an infection in his heart to get medicine for him but somehow Malachi got me out of it."

Emerson smirked while watching the partially-drunk Rattler amble away. She didn't want to wake Bones so she ended up just carefully situating herself on the couch with the twins, the two of them softly cooing in their sleep. She didn't fall asleep but listened for Crispin in the guest room.

Bones slept a bit restlessly, not really able to get completely comfortable or completely asleep and it sucked. He honestly love to have the empty void of being a sleep right now, but he'd take what he could get. So eventually he gave up and just laid on his stomach with his eyes closed, just hoping that he'd eventually get what he wanted but if not oh well.
Noises from the room made Emerson wonder if Bones was even sleeping, but at this point she couldn't get up without bringing the babies. Besides, if she went in there, it wasn't as if she could get into bed with him. They hand slept in the same room, let alone bed, in months, which made her chest constrict. She finally fell asleep to Nicolai's humming soon enough.

Emerson slept heavily, the babies actually making it through the night as well. She was awaken by a stumbling around in the hallway and she knew it was Bones. She listened to the shower start before sitting up and checking the babies, who awoke without a sound. She arched her brow and made little faces at them.

Emerson kept to the couch with the babies for a bit before realizing she still hadn't heart Crispin so she picked the twins up and bounced them around a bit, finally ending up in the guest room as she waited for Bones.

Emerson walked with the babies around the room, turning to watch Bones when he came in. "Hey..." She followed to the bed and stopped, biting her lip. "How are you feeling?"

Emerson nodded and moved forward a little, even though he couldn't see her still. "Cal brought them last night..." She looked down between either of the babies in her arms and smiled softly. "Do- do you want to...?" She trailed off, not really sure if Bones was up to actually meet them or not.

Emerson approached him a little closer and nodded, slowly and carefully passing him their daughter. "That's Albany," she said quietly, watching the baby's eyes light up a bit as she looked at her father.

"She's smiling," Emerson told him, a grin spreading across her own face. She watched Bones fumbled with how to hold Albany for a moment before actually cradling her correctly. She watched bones' face for a bit before smiling down at Nicolai.

Emerson watched Albany and Bones again, an Albany giggled when her father began to make faces. Emerson's chest had a funny feeling again and again she felt bad for ruining things between the two of them around the time thy found out she was pregnant. She didn't even want to remember trying to kill the babies. She bit down on her lip so hard she had a metallic taste in her mouth, and sat down on the bed near but not too near Bones, distracting herself with Nicolai.

Emerson glanced over at Bones, her tongue swiping at the blood on her lip. "I'm okay, I just..." Well, now it sounded stupid. "I bit my lip," she said with an awkward laugh, looking back down at Nicolai. She sucked on her lip for a moment before looking from Nicolai to Albany to Crispin, watching him since she knew he couldn't see.

Emerson watched Bones and thought she had been caught when he looked at her, and she blushed and looked back down at Nicolai with a swallow. "I'm just thinking too much again," she brushed off, making a little face at Nicolai, who did the funny Crispin-like grunting thing again in form of a laugh. "Don't worry about it."

Emerson returned back to Nicolai, feeling a little bad that she wasn't telling Crispin the full truth but also knowing that doing so had ruined things with them before, so she just listened to the babies' spitting laughter and smiled softly. She glanced at bones when he asked and frowned slightly. "Um, we used to a lot when I was little, but I have no idea now. Why?"

Emerson shrugged and laid back on the bed, taking Nicolai with her and snuggling him to her chest. She sighed after a moment. "We don't have to move to Tennessee," she promised, looking over at Crispin.

Albany dissolved into laughter again and reached up with her tiny hand to bat at her father's face, and Emerson broke into a soft smile, feeling Nicolai's own sleepy humming against her. "No, you pick. I trust your judgement."

"Well... It might not be a good idea to live in Tennessee..." Emerson watched Crispin and Albany, rolling on her side but holding Nicolai close. "It's close to wear we used to live, and honestly if anyone knew that Cal was involved him living there would be dangerous, especially if we moved closer to him." The angel swallowed and stared up at the ceiling. "Maybe we should move out of country."

Emerson's lips broke into a smile as she imagined the two of them with the babies in either of the places. "Either sounds perfect... I didn't have anywhere in mind. Do you have any particular property that you enjoy?" She gently rubbed her fingers over Nicolai's chubby cheeks.

"Well... We might need more space because of the babies," Emerson began but realized quickly why Bones had diverted the attention from the vineyard: Copper. She frowned and continued to gently stroke Nicolai's face. "I want you to pick where we go," she said again.

"We can figure it out later," Emerson whispered, chewing on the inside of her cheek again. She pulled herself to sit up and pressed her back to the headboard, laying Nicolai in her lap and holding his hand.
