"They might. They're pretty smart." Emerson carefully sat against the headboard next to him, afraid of touching him because he looked so broken. "You know... They first told me you weren't dead. Just a few hours after they were born." She bit her lip, wondering if he thought she was crazy, considering the entire 'they light things on fire' thing.

"I'm positive. I heard two voices and they didn't shut up until they fell asleep." Emerson frowned at Bones even though he couldn't see her. "Cal didn't believe me either," she muttered. "Just wait until they start talking in your head." She would probably -definitely- laugh.

"If they have a telepathic links it's me then it only makes sense they have one with you. Maybe they're only subtle. Maybe I'm wrong, but I doubt it." Emerson's lips lifted when she saw him smirking and she relaxed back next to him again. "I was thinking about what we're going to do next..." She said slowly, checking his face.

Emerson relaxed again and brought her arm up over his shoulders, gently playing with his hair. "When Rattler called Abby to try to resurrect your double's body, he teleported me to Tennessee, and I was walking around this town and Cal found me. I mean, I know once upon a time we talked about not living in the country, but it seemed like a really nice area, and we could easily get property and-" She frowned. "Where was Copper?" she asked suddenly.

"I'll go find her," Emerson promised after checking his expression. She felt bad she had basically lost the cat. "Um... I think we're near our house in Oregon still. The babies are at a hotel with Cal nearby," she explained. "You can't see a thing?"

"Well, I for one, can't wait for them to heal or whatever," Emerson said, and she watched Bones' face contort into a weird look. "You're worried about Copper." She sighed and sat up, leaning over and pecking a kiss to his cheek. "I'll go find her. Hopefully she won't be too pissed to have to fend for her self lately." She gently took his arm from around her and laid it at his side and stood. "I'll be back with her soon, promise."

"She'll be pissed with us if we don't look for her," Emerson joked, releasing his hand and sending a look over his broken body before heading to the door. "I'll check the areas around our houses and come back if she's not there." She bit her lip before actually leaving the house and heading out, trusting that Bones would be fine on his own for a few minutes.

((Do you want her to find Copper or...?))
((I'd probably cry a little if Copper died))
((So... She finds her? Or no??))
((Oh my god noooo
Damnit i hate having to be realistic >_<))
Emerson set off from Rattler's house and, since it was closer, headed to the farmhouse. She kept at the road until she decided that it was safe to head up, and she searched around outside for a bit before heading in. She knew Copper couldn't have gotten inside on her own but she wanted to make sure no one was there. There wasn't, aside from a bit of blood of on the living room floor, so she moved on, making a mental note to come back and pack up before they moved away.
She sighed and left the house to head out to the barns, checking the shop before heading to the other one. She cursed when a metallic scent struck her nose, and she headed around the side to find the bodies of two of Marcus' men, and a bit further on was a darker, massive shape. She cursed and headed over, freezing at the sight.
She stood there for a moment before swiping at her her eyes and stumbling back a little. She bet down and pushed her fingers through the animal's fur, checking for any sign of life. She felt sick to her stomach but stood shakily, knowing she had to go and tell Bones. She couldn't bury the Mngwa- she wasn't even sure if there was some special ritual or something. She at least unclasped the purplish collar Bones had for the hellcat so she could give it to him. She finally turned away and walked back with no haste, climbing into Crispin's abandoned truck and driving back.
Finally she parked out front and headed in, silently entering the house and heading to the guest room. She sniffled a little and walked in, watching Bones a moment although she could already see a sort of dread on his face. "I- I found her, Crispin," she said quietly, fumbling with the collar in her fingers. "She was out next to one of the barns- I'm sorry." She set the collar in his lap and stepped back, not sure if she should comfort him or what.

Bones thought it might be good news at first bit then he got a hit of her tone and he knew it was bad. Tears immediately sprung to his eyes and he let out a soft sob when he felt the collar his his lap. He couldn't believe that she was gone, it just wasn't possible not after everything. She's been his best friend for almost two thousand years, how was he supposed to live with out her. "What happened?" he asked her, not that she would really know the details anyway.
((I just want to go to bed and cry now))
Emerson's heart physically ached watching Bones cry, and she sat on the edge of the bed and sat her hand next to his leg without touching him. "She... There were a few demon bodies with her- your father's men," was all Emerson said, and she watched his fingers touch the collar. "I'm so sorry." She didn't understand the type of the bond between the two- it wasn't the same as Emerson and Crispin's relationship at all.

Emerson's lips trembled as she watched Bones stumble out of the room, and she swiped angrily at her eyes again, trying to erase the picture of the Mngwa's body from her mind. She couldn't imagine that if she were sad about Copper, how Bones must have felt after two thousand years of companionship with her. She cursed and sat down on the floor, pulling her knees to her chest and listening to Bones' cry in the room next over.

Emerson wrapped her arms around her legs and leaned her head on them before she came suddenly aware that she couldn't hear Bones anymore and she realized he must of left to try to find Copper, which made her chest hurt more, because she knew what he would find. Damnit, he couldn't even see Copper's body if he did find her. She cursed and sat up when she heard her phone chiming, it was Cal checking in. She sent him a message to let him know that she still wouldn't be back for a bit, and she contemplated having him teleport the babies to his house in Tennessee.

Emerson sat on the floor for the longest time, not exactly sure what to do with herself. She was kind of upset that Bones might ruin the healing job but the deal with Copper was more important. Finally she stood and left the room, making sure he wasn't in the bathroom as he had been a while ago before going back to the guest room and cleaning up the bloodied sheets

((Sorry I read this and forgot to reply))
Emerson sighed as she finally sat back down on the bed, having already done all she could. It really irked her that she couldn't comfort Bones, and that he especially couldn't see when he was making his way around. She finally heard running water in the bathroom and huffed in relief, standing and gently knocking on the door. "Crispin? Can I do something to help?" she asked quietly.

She finally heard running water in the bathroom and huffed in relief, standing and gently knocking on the door. "Crispin? Can I do something to help?" she asked quietly.

Emerson waited outside the door for Crispin, fumbling with a zipper on her jacket. She sighed softly when she heard him fumbling for the door and gently wrapped her arms around him when he loitered in the way, careful of his wounds.

Emerson bit her lip and watched Bones stumble to the bedroom, and she grabbed her phone and held it like dead weight in her hand. "Um... I'm going to call Cal and ask him to take the babies to his house... I don't want them nearby if Malachi or Marcus would think to come back here..." She mumbled before turning into the hallway and dialing Cal's number.

"Well he could come over now, but you wouldn't even be able to see him." Emerson hung up the number and came to Bones' side to help support him. "He raised me so I figured he would be fine with the twins until we can get you out of here."

"If the babies come here then Cal would leave... The last encounter between him and Rattler wasn't pleasant, but I'm sure he'd be fine with having a break from me." Emerson bit her lip, knowing it shouldn't really be a problem if it was just the babies. If she had to, she would take them back to the house while she packed up so they wouldn't be crowding Rattler's space. She dialed his number again and quickly convinced him to drop the babies off, and he explained that he would head back to his own state until she needed him again. "Better now?" she questioned Bones, urging him back to the bed.

Emerson frowned when Bones moved away from her touch, crossing her arms and turning to look out the window. She figured Cal would just teleport there, and she was right, because without seeing anyone down the sidewalk she heard the doorbell ring a moment later. The angel left the room and met her brother at the door, the twins sleeping in either of his arms. He gave them over and pecked his sister on the cheek before bidding goodbye and disappearing again, and Emerson made her way back to the room.

Emerson carefully settled into a chair next to the window in the room, balancing her attention between Crispin and the twins, who were silent enough so as not to bother their sleeping father. She wondered what he was thinking and why he was trying to hide his emotions from the ordeal with Copper.

Emerson was rocking the twins a little with her eyes set on the demon on the bed when she heard Rattler stumbling through she house. Her glance cut from Rattler in the doorway to Bones when she heard a sort of grunt and stood, taking the babies and ushering Rattler out of the room and closing the door behind him. "Copper's gone," she whispered, trying to not wake Bones or the babies.

"I'm sure," Emerson said, too tired to even snap at him for doubting her again. "I found her body by one of the barns at the house. Marcus' men," she explained, leaning her back onto the wall in the hallway. "I'm not sure how many there were but she took down a few of them."

"I wish," Emerson sighed, settling into the couch's arm. "It was definitely Copper. I don't know how long she was gone." Emerson cursed herself for not checking for the Mngwa the moment she was back in town, but it hadn't crossed her mind.
