"I have a very good sense of direction. I could do it." Although Emerson's confidence was wavering, she believed she could save Crispin, or it would eat her alive. She took a deep breath and slowly released it. "I need you to tell me everything you know about that house and anyone inside."

"I'm not worried about his followers. The problem is that I don't know where he or Crispin will be." Emerson bent to pick up the piece of the map and scanned over it. "Well... I guess it's safe to assume Crispin will be in the basement... Hey, do you have some way to put an enchantment on something? So I can find him?" She looked at Rattler again with a hopeful expression.

Emerson sighed and shot the demon a look. "Rattler, I am going to get Bones out of there. Either you'll help me or you won't- the real question is how you want him to treat you once he's out." She knew she was playing a tricky card, but was pretty sure the guilt card was the proper one for this situation.

"The kids were practically taking care of themselves in the womb; don't bring them up." Emerson crossed her arms over her chest and pressed her tongue on the inside of her cheek. "But he would do worse if I end up dead because you didn't help me." She slowly turned with the map towards the door. "But if you don't have anything other than your balls you care about, you must not have to worry." She smirked.

Emerson watched Rattler through his rant, biting her tongue until he was done. "I can't just leave him there, Rattler. You and I both know he wouldn't leave me." She sighed and inclined her head backwards to stare up at the ceiling. "I'd rather have Nicolai and Albany grow up parentless than with a weak mother and a father rotting underground."

Emerson rolled her eyes as he walked away from the conversation. She glanced back at the body for a while before sighing and turning to try and open the door. She frowned when it wouldn't budge, and she pushed it harder with her shoulder. She laughed out a crazy, aggravated laugh. "Um, Rattler?! You seemed to have locked me in a room with a body," she groaned through the door, seriously pissed. She slammed her shoulder into it but it only made it worse, so she slid to the floor and stares at it, willing her telekinesis to open it. Nothing.

Emerson groaned and flopped back onto the floor. "I I die in here, you'll be the one stuck with my kids," she threatened, closing her eyes and thinking. A few minutes passed by until she sat up. "I bet Malachi would help!" She called out, not sure if Rattler could hear her.

"Um, he actually likes me," Emerson retorted. "If I promised I would do something for him in return, I wouldn't even have to do it. He'd help along the way but probably end up dead, so it's a win-win." She stood and leaned against the doorway. "He's probably like you if you got your terminology correct;" she added in, "He's Fallen, not an angel. It's disrespectful to call him that, especially to a real angel. Although if I was caught by the legion I'd probably get kicked out at this point as well," she added the last bit in a mumble.

((Hey, so who actually did send that one demon that attacked her a long time ago. Bones blamed the rebels. Emerson used ice to keep it from bleeding.))
"Well, it's not like you don't want Bones back too. Help me come up with something." Emerson groaned and flipped back onto the floor, prepared to wait until Rattler felt bad and at least let her leave to get to the babies.
((I was so confused... I totally forgot about that, and I can't remember what I was thinking at the time... I want to say it was the legion.))

((Why do you ask?))
Emerson hissed in annoyance. "You really think he won't come for us anyway?" she demanded, tugging at her hair in annoyance. "Let me out of here, Rattler," she said after a moment, sitting up.

"Do you have a plan yet" Rattler asked, not budging one bit on word. "Because I'm not letting you out until you do. I'm not going to let you do something stupid, because then Bones really would kill me" he said. "So think of something. Sure Malachi can help, but what's the actual plan."
((Haha okay. I think at the time I just figured he was some sort of dark angel?))
Emerson rolled her eyes. "Well, since you're being a prick, I figure I and maybe Malachi either sneak in or literally bust our way in. Malachi can put a cloaking spell on us or make it seem like we're demons. We'll put a tracker on Bones, find him, and get him out."

"And how are you going to put a tracker on Bones" Rattler asked with a sigh. "I already told you that sort of stuff probably isn't going to work down there" he said and ran his hands through his hair. "And is Malachi even able to do something like that?" he asked, talking about the cloaking them to feeling like demons.
"With magic, duh," Emerson drones. She huffed and draped an arm over her eyes. "I'm pretty sure Malachi can do that; he's done it before. The only one it might not work on would be Marcus." She really, really wanted to kill that demon, but knew she couldn't.

"Um, obviously I would play the guy and Malachi would pretend to be the butler," Emerson said sarcastically. "He can act as he if belongs anywhere- you saw how long he held off Marcus." She toyed with the scorched carpet for a moment. "Especially if we had a third person and two of us were bringing in a present for Marcus."

"Well, with you and Malachi on my side, it won't be a blind mission." Emerson sat up and pretzeled her legs. "Maybe I can set up a telepathic link between me and Crispin, and find him that way."

"Um, no. Probably. I don't think so." Emerson sighed and closed her eyes to think for a minute. "I'm pretty sure as long as nothing is disturbing his mental barrier or lack thereof I could do it." Or Malachi could. Was it honestly safe to bring Malachi into the mix?

"I'm not in the rebellion because I don't want to be in the rebellion, but yes... I left it for Crispin. Honestly, I might have to kill Malachi before we reach Bones." Emerson hadn't considered what Rattler was suggesting, so she mulled it over in her head.

"He didn't see your face before you did that. The only reason I didn't do anything to Malachi was because there were five other rebels with him, and I knew I couldn't take them all on my own while yes, pregnant. I can do it if I catch him off guard." Emerson stood, facing the door. "Will you let me out?"

"I promise I won't do anything stupid without your supervision," Emerson swore, even holding her hand up mockingly since Rattler couldn't see her. "I promise to go to my hotel and take care of my babies until we meet at an arranged time to find Malachi."

Emerson stretched in exaggeration as soon as she got out from behind the door, but shot Rattler a peeved look mid-stretch. "That's disgusting," she muttered, rolling her eyes. She took a deep breath and gave him a nod. "Call me tomorrow and we'll figure out where Malachi is."

Rattler's words made Emerson pause, but she was pretty sure there would have been a smell if that was the case. She stuck out her tongue at Rattler's back as he walked away from her, and she in turn headed for the front door. "When we get Crispin out I'm telling him you locked me in the basement with a look-alike body of his and your torture victims," she threw over her shoulder before she shut the door and headed back to the hotel.

((//it's okay buddy that's how everyone feels after talking to Emerson//))
Emerson mulled over everything on her walk back to the motel. Once she got inside the room, Cal looked relieved to see her. "I thought you were never coming back," he groaned, and Emerson was met with the crying to two babies.
"Well, it would have been that if Rattler and I hadn't talked some things out."
Over the rest of the night Emerson and Callaghan relaxed with the babies, the sister giving very few details on her plans for the next day. She did elude to Cal having to watch the twins again, but he was fine with that, and she felt no need to stress him with the details.

Rattler eventually pushed himself out of bed and walked over to the bathroom to take a shower. Once he was done he quickly dried off before crawling into bed, not even bother to get dressed. Not that he ever wore clothes to bed anyway.
Emerson didn't sleep that night, a baby sleeping on either side of her. It felt good to snuggle, but she just kept thinking about the possibility of leaving them to Cal. What if she got herself killed?
It was possible.
So instead she just enjoyed the feeling of their breathing next to her, thinking it was a marvel that they were actually sleeping. Maybe their brains were more developed than she thought.

Emerson was sitting on the floor, playing with Nicolai and Albany when a sleepy Callaghan threw her buzzing phone to his sister. Emerson caught it with a small smirk and answered quietly, "Took you long enough. I thought at this point I would have to go get him myself," in a teasing manner, despite her oath.

Emerson sighed and pushed her phone into her pocket, giving Cal a long glance. He nodded in naive understanding, and she gave the babies each a long hug and kiss. She stood and grabbed her jacket before giving one glance to Cal with the twins, huffing a breath, and leaving.
She got to the park fairly quickly; it was across the street from her hotel. She looked around for Rattler but didn't see him, so she loitered near the statue in the middle of the field.

Once upon a time, Emerson would have jumped at demons appearing next to her out of thin air. That was a while ago, though, and she just cut her gaze to Rattler. "Well, let's go someplace else before we start discussing summoning rituals. I know he's somewhere nearby because he wouldn't have left unless he knew you took me to Tennessee."
