In the morning, Emerson sighed before sitting up and looking down at her stomach, as she always did. She pursed her lips and stood, grabbing clothes from her dresser to go take a shower.
Once done with that, she stares again at her belly while she dressed, knowing she was showing but not much, which granted her some peace of mind with the quadruplet thing. She headed downstairs to look for something for breakfast.

"Coke in," Emerson said, as she usually left the door unlocked during the day in case Bones decided to drop by randomly. She stood up from the couch and stretched, meeting Bones in the hallway. "I think we should set up a doctor appointment," she stated.

Emerson sighed and closed the door behind Bones, gently taking his hand without thinking and leading him back to the couch. She sat down and shrugged. "I just think it would be nice to know if it's twins and maybe the due date," she said, since she wasn't sure at all. She figured she was at the tale end of the first or beginning of the second trimester, if her pregnancy would even be a normal length. "Besides, what would the worry be with a human Doctor unless something about the baby is freakish?"

Emerson realized Bones was looking at their hands and sighed softly, pulling her hand away and laying it in her lap. "You think they would take blood tests at an ultrasound?" she asked quietly. "I won't do it if you don't think it's a good idea."

"I..." Emerson paused and followed Bones' gaze while biting her lip. "I would like you to come, if that's alright. I don't want to do it on my own." She clamped down on her lip again and set her hand over Crispin's with a small sigh. "Please?"

Emerson took her hand back into her lap, resting the other on her belly as she shook her head. "No, I'll do it later; I'd rather just spend time with you right now." She gave a soft smile to him. "How have you been?" she asked, sitting like she had the night before.

Emerson smirked slightly at Bones' answer, shrugging in turn. "Nothing really- I don't keep the shop open much because of the side effects of the pregnancy, but it's not too much of a problem because I get to rest more." She snuggled into the side of the couch. "How's Copper?"

Emerson paused, thinking for a moment. "If you really aren't ready to move back in, we could switch houses. For Copper," she added the end as she ran a hand through her hair. "I mean the point of this house with the property was for her sake anyway."

Emerson narrowed her eyes just slightly before sighing through her nose. "If you say so," she replied. She leaned away a little bit before adding, "Crispin, I don't understand why this is still so difficult. It's been a month- all that happened, when it boils down to it, was me disobeying you. I get it if you're uncomfortable- sort of, but I wish you would relay your feelings to me instead of just staying away and saying this place doesn't feel like home." She hadn't meant to poor that all on him but didn't back down other than to look away.

Emerson felt like arguing again at first but swallowed, pulling at her lower lip again as she watched him. "I'm so sorry," she murmured, trying to look him in the eye as she did so. She shifted her body so she looked out the window instead of being inclined towards Crispin, biting so hard onto her lip that she had a metallic taste in her mouth.

Emerson pursed her lips into a tight line as she watched Crispin go. She stayed to the couch for a while before standing and heading to the kitchen to get a glass of water, hopping onto the counter to watch Bones from her viewpoint out the window.

Emerson watched Bones smoke for a little while longer before she slid off the counter, leaving the kitchen to go take care of laundry. She did so until there wasn't anything she could do before returning to the living room, opening up the window to let a cold breeze in.

Emerson finished up with laundry before peeking into the living room to find Bones, smiling and climbing over the couch to sit on the side across from him. "Hey," she said quietly, not wanting to disturb him too much.

Emerson's smile only barely faltered, but she was more glad that their conversation of earlier was over with, so she kept it. "alright; I was hurting really bad in the middle of the night but today I've been okay," she told him, pulling her knees to her chest to curl up like she usually did. She realized she wouldn't be able to do that for much longer.

Emerson ran her fingers through her hair a couple times. "Somewhere around three months," she told him, switching her position to pretzeled legs so she could see her stomach. "I'm not sure of the exact date."
((What if it were twins, and one was more inclined in angel characteristics, and the other demon, but they both have enough of both sides to be strange?))

((That would be awesome. You thinking same genders of one of each?))
"Already it isn't a normal pregnancy," Emerson countered. She looked down again and thought. "Nine to eleven months, depending on genetics and how many there are. I would think I'd be way bigger if it were five to six... It'll probably be somewhere in between," she thought aloud.
((Well, I was thinking a male more inclined towards angel, and female more inclined towards demon- what do you think?))

((Sounds good to me. I was actually thinking the same thing. :D))
A blush met Emerson's cheeks as she felt Bones' eyes on her, and she smiled when he took her hand. At his suggestion, her face lit up. "That sounds good," she said, trying to not sound too needy or excited. Also not wanting to seem the opposite, she added, "You can move in sooner, if you want. Whenever you're comfortable with it." It would be nice to have him back sooner than later, and not just for the pregnancy.
((Great! :D))
((Great! :D))

Emerson nodded, knowing she could be patient for a bit more- it wasn't as if she could force him back home. "Thank you," she said, generally meaning his explanation. "I love you too." She had missed hearing him say that, and her grin returned.

Emerson sighed and snuggled in next to Bones. "Honestly, I really should. I haven't completely neglected it but it's not in the best shape. I don't even want to think about the orders stacking up that I haven't seen." She closed her eyes and rubbed her temples. "I think I'll get back to it tomorrow," she decided.

"That sounds good- we can do whatever you want," Emerson replied, breathing out quietly to relax as Bones held her gently. She smiled and closed her eyes, resting her head on his shoulders. "Even if we just stay right here," she added.

((Maybe not right now, but at some point do you want to skip to when it's closer to the due date?))
((Sure... Do we want something to happen at that point or wait until after the babies are born?))
Emerson opened her eyes again and looked outside; it seemed nice enough. "I would be up for a walk," she decided, pushing herself to sit up and look over at Bones with a soft smile. "Maybe not the entire property, but a walk."

Bones smiled, "Awesome" he said and slowly stood up before pulling her up with him. "Don't have to go out to far, just far enough to see the good stuff" he said before taking her hand and leading her out of the house and out into the yard.
((Well... We haven't done much with the angels as threats, but I'm not sure if we should start that now or not. It would be easier to just have the rebels or Bones' father come in.))
Emerson held on to Bones' arm and let him lead her around, smiling at the fresh air. She chuckled and smiled up at him. "What exactly is the 'good stuff', in your opinion?" she asked teasingly.

"Oh you know deer carcasses, dead bunnies, that sort of thing" Bones said seriously for a moment before looking over at her with a smile. "I'm kidding" he said and shoo his head slightly. "There's a small creek on the land, and it leads to a pool where there's a small water fall" he said.
((Well, I don't care which one, but I think his father would have an easier time finding them... Unless we did both at once?))
Emerson was about to glare at Bones when she realized he was only joking. She shook her head but wasn't able to stop the smile that grew into a grin. "Really?" she asked, practically buzzing. "Like the one that you brought me to, like, a year ago?" She couldn't believe it had been that long, and maybe it hadn't, but a lot of bad and good things had happened since then. "I still have the picture you drew me somewhere- I think it's in my camera case."

Bones nodded slightly, "This ones isn't that great, but it's close" he said, kind of forgetting about that place already. He's lived a lot of places so he didn't always remember his special places. "I'm glad you kept it" he said, kind of, surprised she didn't rip it up after the first time they broke up.
((Sounds good! What do you think should happen?))
Emerson nodded. "I'm glad, too." She quieted for a moment, biting her lip as she walked along with Bones. "I'd like to give it to you, if you promise not to ruin it," she added the last part teasingly. "I still look at it, but I feel a little weird having a picture of myself. It would make more sense for you to keep it."

Bones chuckled and nodded slightly, "Yeah that'd be cool" he said and smiled down at her. "I'd draw you a picture of myself, but I feel like that would be just as weird as you keeping a picture of yourself" he said and shrugged slightly before laughing a bit.

The next morning Bones woke up with a groan before slowly climbing out of bed and ambling over to his dresser. He got dressed, put on the usual color scheme, dark blue jeans and a black t-shirt. Once dressed he went downstairs and fed Copper before looking for something to make himself.
