((Yeah , sure sounds good.))Bones pulled back up into the driveway of their soon to be new house, again pulling to a stop behind the owners car. They had finished ordering all their new furniture and even had a mattress in the trunk.
"Love you," Emerson said as she reached into the back to grab her bag of money, passing the other one to Bones. She gave his hand a squeeze and patted Copper before hopping out of the truck.
"I love you too" Bones said as he took the bag from her. He smiled at her for a moment before climbing out of the truck and walking up to the front door. He knocked lightly before taking a step back to wait for the women to open the door.
Emerson stood with Bones at the door, not eager to see the woman again, although she wanted everything over with. The door opened and the short woman peeked out. "Oh, good. The movers are all done," she told the couple.
Bones smiled, "Awesome" he said and looked over her for a moment. "Do you have all the papers ready?" he asked, wondering if everything was all set up for them to buy the house from her, the proper way.
"I do, actually," the woman told him, moving aside to let the two in. "I called a realtor and had her bring them over. And obviously you have the money with you, so... If you'll just sign these," she said, leading them to the counter in the nice, rustic kitchen.
Bones nodded slightly and smiled as he stepped into the house and followed her to the kitchen. He looked around a little bit, actually liking what he was seeing. "How much land is there?" he asked after a moment as he looked over the papers.
"Two hundred acres," the lady, who introduced herself as Clare Garth, answered. Emerson looked around the room that they had entered. She definitely liked that house; she wasn't sure why Clare thought it was in such disarray.
Bones nodded slightly, that seemed like a good amount of land for Copper. "Great" he said with a smile before signing the dotted line, making sure he used the right name. "Here you go" he said and slide it back over to Clare.
"Great." Clare took the papers and signed as well, handing the couple their half of the paperwork. Emerson leaned against the counter and took the papers so Bones could hand over the money.
Bones set his bag of money on the table and slide it over to Clare, "Here ya go" he said before also handing over the bag Emerson had been holding. "Your house is lovely by the way" he said and looked around for a moment. "What did you mean when you said it needed work?" he asked.
Emerson scanned over the papers as she listened to Bones and Clare's reply; "It's not modern, you know. Modern finished are sold faster... Also, it's the dead of winter. People buy in the summer. Usually." She cut a glance to Emerson and took the bags. "Well, then, I'll let you two get settled in. Goodbye." She waved to the two and turned to leave.
Bones nodded slightly "Okay, guess that makes sense" he said and smiled small before waving back as she left. Once she was gone he smiled at Emerson, "Want to look around?" he asked and held out his hand for her to take. "See what we just bought. "
"Yeah, make sure it's not haunted or anything," Emerson joked, taking Crispin's hand and leaving her other bag of money on the counter.
Bones nodded slightly and smiled before walking with her out of the kitchen and into what he thought might be the living room. "Hey, you continue looking around, I'm going to go and get Copper and the rest of our stuff" he said with a smile and leaned down to kiss her softly before walking out of the room and then out the door to his truck.
Emerson felt a little star struck with Bones' kiss, although she wasn't much sure why. She nodded as he left, looking around the room quietly. There were minor scratches on the floor, although she still thought Clare's words to be exaggerated.
Bones let Copper out of the back seat and let her run around the yard while he grabbed their bags out of the truck. He carried them into the house and set them in the living room before going back outside to grab the mattress out of back end.
Emerson walked through a few more rooms on the main floor before heading upstairs to check out the bedrooms. There were three, a guest, master, and smaller room, plus another sort of living room or something. She went into the master bedroom and looked out the window to find that, aside from French doors that opened into a deck, there was another smaller window that opened to a small, flat space on the roof outside. She thought that was near, but she headed back downstairs to go find Bones.
Bones set the mattress down and leaned it up against the wall in the living room, for the time being. He looked at Emerson as she walked down the stairs, "Hey, how's the house" he asked with a smile as he walked over to her.
"Pretty nice," Emerson said nonchalantly, including a small shrug. She wrapped her arms around Bones and grinned. "But it looks even better with you in it." She smirked and leaned up to kiss him lightly before pulling away. "Thanks for bringing the stuff in."
Bones smiled, "No problem" he said and pulled her in for one last kiss before stepping away, and grabbing the mattress. "I'm going to take this upstairs" he said and started moving towards the stairs. "What would you want to do for the rest of the day?" he asked.
"We already got food, essentials, and the furniture is arriving tomorrow..." Emerson pondered aloud as she followed Bones upstairs. She watched him with a smirk. "We could either go out and look around town or just stay in. Your choice."
Bones thought a moment, "Though I'm partial to staying in" he said a bit jokingly with a smile. "but I think we should check out the town" he said and laid the mattress on the ground.
"Sounds good to me." There wasn't much to see in the area anyway; they wouldn't be gone long. She set their personal bags down on the ground and smiled to Bones. "I can't believe we got this place so easily."
Bones nodded slightly, "Yeah it was pretty easy" he said with a smile. "Though even if she'd refused it would have been pretty easy" he said jokingly. "Come on, lets go" he said with a smile before slowly pulling her close to him. He leaned down and kissed her softly, slowly making it deeper and more passionate.
Emerson was about to turn to leave with Bones when he pulled her over. She met his kiss and her smirk dissolved, meeting his passion with her own. It was a few minutes before she pulled back for her breath, smiling again as she reached up to gently hold his face. "Who are you trying to distract?" she teased with a sparkle in her eye.
Bones smiled, "Mainly you" he said jokingly and kissed her again, "But I'm definitely having fun doing it" he said and kissed her again, taking this one slow as he again made it deeper and more passionate. He loved kissing her, holding her in his arms, it was the best feeling ever.
Emerson returned the lip lock, getting lost in his kisses for a while before she pulled away long enough to reply, "From what?" breathily before continuing the kiss, closing her eyes and wrapping her arms around him firmly.
Bones shrugged, "Not sure, haven't decided yet" he said jokingly with a smile before kissing her once more. "But we can go now if you want" he said and slowly pulled away to take her hand. "Come on, lets go for a walk, check out the surrounding property" he said, deciding to change up the plan a little bit.
"Aww, just when it was getting fun," Emerson teased, giving Bones' hand a soft squeeze. "A walk sounds good to me. I don't want to deal with people right now anyway," she decided aloud, leading Bones out of the room and back down the stairwell.
Bones nodded slightly and followed her down the stairs and then out the door. A moment later Copper ran up to them and started walking right beside the tow of them. "So when was all our furniture supposed to arrive again?" he asked.
"Tomorrow morning," Emerson answered. "Ten or eleven I think." She reached to search Copper behind the ears and walked with the two of them around the house.
Bones nodded slightly, "Good" he said and nodded slightly, "Though we'll need more then just furniture, the place in completely empty" he said and shrugged slightly. "You'll have to do some decorating" he said jokingly.
Emerson rolled her eyes. "Why just me? Don't you remember my old apartment... The decorations mostly consisted of mason jars filled with herbs and alcohol on random shelves. Or books." She smirked. "What exactly did you have in mind for decorations?"
Bones shrugged slightly, "I don't know. I usually hire decorators" he said with a smile, leaving out the part that he usually killed them once they were done with the decorating. "We don't really have to do much I guess" he said and shrugged slightly.
"I guess I'll go into town tomorrow to get some mason jars," Emerson teased. She squeezed Bones' hand and smiled. "You're right. We should decorate. That way it feels more like a home."
Bones smiled, "Sounds good to me" he said and kissed her softly. "Though I should tell you, that I'm a terrible decorator, and well be no help what so ever" he said jokingly, though he was also being completely honest. "But hey if you want we could start you business back up" he said and pointed to the barn, "Can't exactly have farm animals with Copper around, so you could use the barn as your shop"
Emerson's face lit up. "That's a good idea," she commented, looking over to one of the barns. One of them was made of wood and the other of metal and concrete. "Let's go look," she said, pulling him along to the sturdier structure of the two.
Bones laughed softly and followed her over to the barn, " Yeah we can fix it up, and I can have my buddy Rook, take a look at it. Maybe enchant it so we don't have to worry about any enemies stopping by" he said.
"Well, that sounds good for the most part, but what qualifies as an enemy, exactly?" Emerson pondered aloud, sliding on of the big doors over so they could go in. "I mean, a year ago you would have been considered an enemy."
Bones laughed "Haha very funny" he said and shook his head slightly, "Well we do have a lot of enemies that we know of, so all of them, and then anybody else I decide I don't like" he said, saying the last part jokingly.
"Aye-ye, Captain," Emerson teased back. She surveyed the shop-like barn, noting that it had side rooms. "It looks like it used to be a workshop," she commented, noting the random tables around along with the shelves on the walls. "This would be perfect."
Crispin, "Good" he said and looked around a bit at barn, seeing the same potential that Emerson did. "Looks great" he said and walked over to her. "We could hire someone to fix it up for you, make it exactly how you want it"
Emerson wrapped an arm around Crispin and smirked. "If I do that then it may not be exactly as I want. I think I'll do it myself," she said, leaning her head on his arm. "But thanks for the offer."
Bones nodded slightly "Okay" he said and kissed her forehead softly before looking around the barn a bit more. "Wanna go check out the other barn, see what it looks like" he asked with a small smile. "Could maybe use it as a storage shed or something." he suggested.
Emerson nodded and took Bones' hand. She walked out with him and slid the door closed behind them. "What do you want to do when we're settled?" she asked curiously.
Bones shrugged slightly, "I really don't know" he said honestly before looking down at Emerson for a moment. He walked over to the other barn with her and opened the door, letting her go in first before closing it behind them. "This one might need a little more work" he said.
A gust of cold winter wind blew under the doorway and the air made lots of dust dance. Emerson coughed and covered her nose, nodding to what Crispin had said. "You're not wrong," she replied, her voice muffled by her sleeve.
Bones chuckled softly and nodded, "Yeah" he said and shook his head slightly, "You want to work on this one yourself too?" he asked curiously and looked down at her with a small smile. He didn't care if they had to hire someone to fix it up, though honestly he could probably fix it up himself as well.

Emerson put her bag in the back as well, mindful of Copper still sleeping peacefully back there before she looked out the window. "There's a shopping district just over there," she pointed out.
