A sound that may have been a hiss escaped Emerson's lips, and she shook her head. "I don't. I told you I don't. I have a hard time not seeing Kylist, it's not you. I know you wouldn't-" She stopped, about to say hurt me, but that wasn't perfectly true. They'd both hurt each other. "I know you wouldn't hit me. Even now that I fucked up."

"I want to fix it." Emerson rubbed a threading in the side of her armor and looked up at Bones, realizing she really was the one at fault right then. "I'm so sorry." And maybe that was enough, and they couldn't fix it, but she wanted to say it before he left -before she wouldn't see him again. She hated being around Malachi and the rebels instead of him. "That's probably not going to fix it, though, huh?"

Emerson felt relieved when he at least didn't reject her apology. She rubbed her thumb over his, anticipating his kiss before he even leaned down to do so. Her free hand raised to brush against the side of his face, resting to cup his jaw as she kissed him back. She knew she had missed him, but it hurt even more to kiss him again when she knew it was almost more of a goodbye kiss than anything else.

"I love you so much." Despite the sad mood, Emerson cracked a little of a smile at his chuckling, loving the warm sound. She pressed their foreheads together for another second before pulling away and leaning her head against his chest. It probably felt like she was holding on for dear life, because that's what it basically was. "What are you laughing at?" She asked, her voice muffled by his shirt. She took in his smell, which was overwhelmed by the metallic scent of blood, but that was kind of already woven into him.

A shake of her head. "I would leave, I just don't have anywhere to go." Emerson bit down on her lip again, narrowing her eyes just slightly. Malachi, her trainer... They kept saying things about Bones repeatedly to drill them in her head, and so far she had shut them out for the most part, but she hadn't considered it was a ploy to shut out any piece of Bones left in her. "Crispin..." She swallowed hard, afraid of rejection of the question she was about to give. "I know I fucked up really bad... And I am so sorry," she swiped at her eyes, not wanting to cry in front of him, "But can we..." She trailed off, suddenly not wanting to ask, just because she didn't want him to think she was using him, or because she was really scared of what his reply would be.

Emerson sucked in a deep breath, bracing herself before she asked, barely above a whisper, "Can we try again?" Her hand shook a little, and she tucked it against her side, she almost immediately realized it wouldn't work; he was leaving and she was staying, at least for now, plus he could be safe from his father if they were split, and he might not even want to. She looked away before peeking back up at him, trying to discern his expression.

"I'm asking you, Crispin. Not the rebels or the legion or your father, you. I don't care what they want." Emerson finally looked back up at Bones, giving his hand a squeeze. "I think we can get away from all of them, honestly. I'm not sure how, but it would be better to do it together. I love you. I only want to be with you." Her voice wobbled a bit, and she cleared her throat quietly.

"Then we'll try not to fight," Emerson replied, mentally trying to mend everything that had happened. "And when we can't, we'll blow off steam instead of ending things." She pulled his hand to her lips and kissed his knuckles, looking up at him with a wide stare that was sort of begging. "Please," she murmured against his skin.

Emerson breathed out a sound if relief, leaning into the kiss to intensify it. She had missed him so, so much. She wrapped her arms around him and stood on her tiptoes to press her lips in harder, closing her eyes.

Emerson stood even taller as she could, pressing even harder against his lips. She parted hers to deepened the kiss, especially after Bones softly moaned. She wove her hands through his curls, her breathing becoming ragged.

"Yeah..." Emerson bit on her puffy lip, slowly nodding and breaking into a grin a second after Bones did. "I can go get my things from my apartment and meet you back here." The rebels honestly shouldn't have been tipped off of her absence yet; they thought she was at her apartment, anyway.

Emerson thought about it, going over possible nearby landing places in her head before she slowly nodded. "Okay, I can do that." She smiled and leaned up to catch Bones' lips to hers one more time, running her fingers over his cheek before turning around and running off, her wings snapping out from the armor she wore easily, before she took off and flew away.

Emerson flew as quickly as she could possibly manage to her complex before making her way up to her apartment, running in and closing the door behind her in a careless slam. She didn't freeze when she saw a dark figure sit up from a slouch on her sofa, but cursing mildly as she passed Malachi, who scoffed. "You thought you could just leave me?" he asked, something like annoyance or anger flashing in his gray eyes.
"There's nothing to leave." Emerson acted as if she didn't care he was there, grabbing stuff from around the apartment to pack within her bags.
"That's not fair," Malachi groaned, standing up and following her to the kitchen. "I've been taking care of you these past three weeks, and what has that demon been doing? Killing people and knocking human girls up, I'd bet." Emerson hissed as he brushed a hand against her side to stop her from reaching something, whispering in her ear now. She could feel his sicking, lazy smile as he murmured, "He's hurt you so much... And you belong to me."
Now, Emerson knew Malachi had a sort of charmspeak, but she was usually able to resist it. "I don't belong to anyone but myself," she hissed before her elbow hit him in the gut, her knew ability allowing her to maneuver the big refrigerator out of place and slam him into the counter, holding the angel into place.
"I'll find you," he promised, even as he tried to push the thing off of himself. Emerson leaned in to whisper in his ear, "No, you won't."
She finished packing extraordinarily fast, before the thing was pushed even an inch away from him, and fled the apartment, making her way to the grocery store. She spotted Bones quickly and patted Copper once she opened the door, putting her bags in the bed of the truck before climbing in the passenger seat and kissing Bones.

She spotted Bones quickly and patted Copper once she opened the door, putting her bags in the bed of the truck before climbing in the passenger seat and kissing Bones.

"He didn't hurt me," Emerson promised, taking Bones' hand in hers. She went rigid when they teleported, a shudder going through her when it was over. "I'll never get used to that," she whispered, shaking the feeling off. She looked around but couldn't really see where they were due to it being nighttime. "Where are we?"

"Sounds good," Emerson replied, although she didn't care where they were. She leaned over and pecked Bones' cheek before settling back in her seat, rubbing her thumb over his calloused hand.

"Okay," Emerson said, jumping out of the truck and grabbing her bag that had a few more important things in it before meeting up with Bones and taking his hand. She let him lead back to the house, because she hadn't actually noticed it. It wasn't too far away, though.

Emerson just followed Bones' lead, chuckling when he kind of just yanked her into the house behind him. "I'm glad we got our daily B-and-E in for the night," she teased in a whisper, closing the broken door behind them. She dropped her bag on the floor and brought Bones in to an embrace, looking up at him with a light smile as she stared into his green eyes. "I love you," she told him honestly.

Emerson held tight to Bones, laughing as quietly as she could -though she wasn't sure why; it wasn't like anyone else was in the house- when he picked her up and twirled her around. She kind of just stared at him until he stopped in front of a doorway, and she wriggled the door open, glancing into the room behind her.

When Bones set her gently on her bed, Emerson giggled again and told him, "Your placing on furniture skills have improved, I see." She giggled again, pressing back against him with equal pressure and twirling her fingers through his hair before leaning up to kiss him.

"Mm..." Emerson pulled away a few moments later to catch her breath, her eyes fluttering open with a grin. "You don't know what I'm talking about, hmm?" She mused, stroking her fingers across his face gently. "See, I remember specifically you carrying me back from the beach and basically throwing me onto the couch at the house," she whispered into his ear, her breathing hot on his skin.

Emerson kissed back Bones fervently, the three weeks apart weighing on her heavily. She kept brushing her hands from his face to his hair, finally pulling back again to smirk. "So you don't remember trying to drown me in the ocean?" she asked, arching a brow.

Emerson shivered at the sudden air above her once Bones rolled off, keeping close to him as he pulled her over. She sighed softly and angled her neck so he could reach her skin easier, lightly brushing her fingers over his bicep. Her skin goose bumped despite his hot breath on her, and she loosed a shuddery sigh, closing her eyes.

Emerson knew he didn't mean that he had been doing things with other women at night instead of sleeping, and she nodded slowly, loosing a breath. "I didn't sleep either; I couldn't." Even though they had only been sleeping in each others' company barely a week, she had become used to it. She nuzzled the other side of his neck while he kissed her shoulder and rubbed her side. "I missed you a lot."

Emerson faked a pout, turning around so she was kind of laying over him, her head resting just below his chin. "Good that I didn't get any sleep or missed you?" she questioned in a teasing voice, relaxing against him. She ran circles with her fingers over his chest absently.

"Mm... You'll be happy to know I thought about you every second of my days, as well," Emerson murmured, snuggling in even closer to him. She continued lightly running her fingers over his shirt, closing her eyes. Her breathing slowed, but she didn't really want to fall asleep in the case that this was a trick of the rebels. "I love you," she hummed quietly, obviously falling asleep despite her worries.
