Emerson smirked, looking out at the harbor past Copper running along. "I think she likes it here, too," she mused, again gently twining her fingers through Crispin's. "Well, she probably would like anywhere as long as she were free, and with you." She gave a shrug, enjoying the feel of the rough sand beneath her feet.

"That's... not as encouraging as you probably thought it would be. I'll try not to get on her bad side, then." Emerson felt a little bit of a shiver, remembering how Copper had her paw on her face and could have shredded her skin with just a short swipe. "Any tips?"

Emerson nodded trustingly, leaning into the kiss on her cheek. "If you promise," she teased, pausing on the beach to peer at something in the water. "Do you see that?" she asked, folding her arms over her chest.

Emerson leaned over to look closer, gently pulling Bones to look as well. She glanced at him before pointing deeper to the water, feigning curiosity at why he couldn't see it. "That," she said before scooping her hand and flicking a little bit of water at him, darting back to check his reaction, barely keeping an amused grin from her face.

"Nonononono-" Emerson's no-ing was drowned out by her dunking, and she came shrieking. "Bones!" Though she was laughing too hard to be mad, running back up to him and sort of trying to tackle him into the water.

"Bones!" Emerson screeched again, running along after him, although a bit slowly, lagged down by her soaked clothing and the freezing air. Finally she caught up to him, pretending to not be so mad. "Okay, I forgive you." As if to seal the deal, she wrapped her arms around him, the water from her somewhat wetting him. She kind of began walking him backwards towards the water again, fully ready to push him in.

"Well, you should, because I'm all about-" Emerson was cut off as she tripped over Copper's back, but she at least pulled Bones with her. "You two are plotting against me!" she accused, now sort of frustrated she wasn't overpowering him, even though it was stupid because she was shorter and weighed much less than he.

"Oh yeah?" Emerson asked, a deeper undertone to her voice. She poised to kiss him back before gripping his shoulders and rolling over so she was on top, grinning as the water lapped over him. "I think I like you all wet, too," she said, now leaning to kiss him.

Emerson screamed pathetic insults at Bones as she tried to get her bearings in the waist-deep water. It took her a while to get them, though, because the waves kept coming in and practically knocked her over each time. Finally, slowly, she made her way back, exhaustedly flopping down next to Bones. "I do not forgive you," she grumbled, leaning back until she laid in the sand, a hand shielding her eyes from the sun.

Emerson's eyes closed softly as Bones started giving her kisses, the kiss meant for her lips met eagerly. She brought her hands up to rest behind his neck, her fingers tangling through his hair. After a few moments she pulled back with a content sigh and, "I'm still mad."

Emerson gave a half-hearted, fake groan as Bones continued on, though she didn't break the kiss this time. The hand in his hair played with it more as she kissed him back, taking a fistful and just holding her hand like that, the other hand moving to rub up the side of his shirt gently. She was a bit surprised by the roughness of the kiss, but liked it and kissed back similarly.

"Yeah." Emerson smirked. A little out of breath, but she walked along with him anyway, taking in the different scenery as they went. She took in a deep breath of the cold air, chilled by being wet and the former, but continued on playing with Copper and the little snow flurries.

"I'm just cold," Emerson answered, closing her eyes for a second before shaking her head in an attempt to brush it off. "Pathetic, huh? I can create ice and snow and being cold bothers me." She wrapped her arms around herself, watching Copper look confused as the flurry she had been chasing disappeared. Another one appeared next to her and the Mngwa batted her gigantic paw at if.

Emerson rolled her eyes but cracked a soft grin. "Somehow, I knew you were going to say that," she murmured, just above the loud wind and waves. "I wouldn't be cold if you hadn't dumped me in the water, twice. I'm not going to reward you with a strip show." She huffed, a little cloud of frost puffing from her lips.

"Which is exactly why I cannot reward you," Emerson replied, relaxing slightly anyway. She closed her eyes for a moment and breathed him in, listening to the sound of the waves. "I'm just too celestial of a creature to sacrifice such over being cold." She smirked, then, knowing they were both still teasing.

Emerson nodded remorsefully, taking a deep sigh. "Yeah, I want to, but you've ruined the experience for me," she said with a dramatically ached noise. "Too bad; I'm pretty hot, for being so chilled." She shrugged as if trying to get over it, watching Copper sway her tail in the sand as she rested.

"Drink," Emerson replied blankly, apparently still in a funk. She shrugged again though and continued, "I don't know. We could clean,." Although she really didn't want to do that either. "No, but we can do whatever you want." She just didn't feel like stripping down on the beach.

"Really?" Emerson looked from Copper up to Bones with a half-smile. "I was joking, but sure." It was pretty early to be drinking, but they could and should do whatever they wanted, considering their situation. She wrapped her arm around him, leaning her head onto him.

"Oh, sure, we'll make it fun," Emerson promised, relaxing against Bones' toned chest. "Want to start heading back?" she asked after a moment, pulling away to get an eye on Copper before just looking back up to Bones. She needed to change and maybe even shower to warm up before they drank, though.

Emerson loosed an audible breath as she stopped in her tracks to let Bones plant kissed on her skin, distracted for a few moments. Finally, she chuckled and grabbed his hand to pull him back down the path. "Come on," she ordered with an eyeroll.

"At this rate, we'll get back after dark and I won't feel so guilty to be drinking early," Emerson teased. Even so, she wrapped an arm behind his neck for support, lifting herself up a little to kiss Bones lightly on the corner of his lips.

Emerson pulled back quick enough, not exactly wanting Bones to run them into the cliffside or the large rock that they were about to come upon. "We can save the kissing for later," she promised, not looking to check his expression.

"Oof-" Emerson complained when he dropped her onto the couch. "You need to take lessons on how to set down your girlfriend." She slowly stood up, looking like she was about to reach up and kiss him, as she had promised, but jus before slipping past him to trudge upstairs. "I need a shower first."

"Shut up," Emerson threw down the stairs indignantly. She began to dig through her clothes, realizing she was out of pajamas. "Oh, Bonesy, it's your lucky day," she hummed down the hallway for him to hear before backtracking, aware of what she had just implied to herself. "Can I borrow one of your shirts?" She gathered their dirty laundry to bring down to wash, even though she had told Bones she wouldn't. They needed something to wear.

Emerson took her shower after piling up the laundry for easy grabbing. Once she was done, she put on one of Bones' remaining clean shirts, carrying their laundry downstairs and sneaking past the livingroom so Bones couldn't protest. As soon as the load was started she came back in, climbing over the couch to sit down on Bones' side opposite of Copper. "Back," she state the obvious, combing through her wet curls.
