"I... I was scared too," Emerson told him, closing her eyes as he rubbed her back and kissed her forehead. "Tomorrow has to be normal, because two nights from now is the raid and our decision, and I just..." She trailed off, keeping her eyes shut tight. "I wish your father had never found us."

"Me too" Bones whispered pressed his lips to her forehead once more as he continued to rub her back. "But everything will be okay, and tomorrow will be so normal it'll be almost dull" he said jokingly and smiled small before pressing his forehead to her;s lightly.
"Oh, I'll hold it to you to make it anything but dull. Just as long as no one comes to bother us, I'll be fine." Emerson smiled, opening her eyes to look into Bones before pressing her lips lightly to his, kissing a little trail to his jaw. "I swear I'm going to murder Malachi if he comes back," she said as she paused on his neck.
Bones smiled and closed his eyes as she kissed his jawline and paused his neck, "Save me the trouble of doing it myself" he muttered and pulled her even closer. "Though I doubt he's going to stay away, guess we'll have more fertilizer for that garden of yours" he said jokingly and pulled back to smirk at her. He gently cupped her cheek with his hand and smiled as he looked her in the eye. "but trust me even if he makes an appearance we'll have a great time" he said and traced the side of her face with his fingers tips before leaning in and kissing her softly.
Emerson chuckled, her eyes crinkling at the corner as she grinned at Bones before kissing him back. She pulled away enough to remind him, "You're the one who would have fun with that; I would probably feel guilty when he starts talking himself out of it." She kissed him again. "I honestly think he'll stay away until the next night, though. He knows how pissed you could get."
Bones chuckled, "I really don't think he cares how mad I get. Cause he knows you'll be pissed at me if I kill em" he said with a smile and looked at her. "Am I wrong?" he asked, wondering if she'd actually give him permission to kill the guy, because eh was honestly itching to do it.
"Well." Emerson shrugged. "I won't be pissed if you do it within reason. But if you go off to just kill him in his sleep..." She trailed off, leaving Bones to figure it out. "I guess it just feels different to have you kill someone we know, even if he's annoying as hell."
"Eh, we don't know him that well" Bones said with a smirk, glad she wouldn't be to mad at him if he snapped and killed Malachi, well as long as he didn't kill the guy in his sleep. He shook his head slightly, "I don't want to talk about him though" he said and kissed Emerson softly. "Much rather talk about that fun we're suppose to be having tomorrow" he said and kissed her again.
Emerson seemed to pause before laughing through her nose. "I dug myself into that one," she realized aloud, brushing her nose against his. "Well, okay, let's talk about it then. Considering checking your half-naked self out again?" she asked innocently, a twinkle in her eye.
Bones nodded slightly, "That could definitely happen. Though you know I'm running low on clean clothes, maybe I should just go the extra mile and not wear anything at all" he said jokingly and kissed her again. "and you know maybe you could to and then we could like have a pants off dance off" he said jokingly with a laugh.
Emerson laughed even harder that time, rolling onto her back and holding a hand over her mouth. "A 'pants-off dance off'?" she repeated, her voice squeaking. "I've never heard of that before." She laughed again and closed her eyes, a wide smirk on her face. "You'll have to show me how it goes."
"Well we both are completely naked" Bones said with a smile, "That's a very important part" he said with a laugh and shook his head slightly. "And well then we just dance, its really easy actually" he said and kissed her cheek.
"So, basically, it's like the time we danced in my apartment, only naked." Emerson was still teasing, but she leaned her cheek into Bones's kiss before tilting her head to actually kiss him. "Sounds like a lot of fun." She smirked against his lips.
"Yep pretty much" Bones said with a smirk before kissing her softly. He closed his eyes and nodded slightly, "OF course it's fun." he said and opened his eyes to look at her with a smile. "Which is why we should definitely do it"
Emerson nodded, closing her eyes and tilting her head so she nestled in his neck. "I'll be sure to do some laundry sometime around that, promise," she told him softly, now feeling more relaxed. The shower and being with him had definitely helped, but she had apparently needed to laugh to actually calm down.
Bones smiled, "Nah that's fine, I'm good with us both being naked all the time. Might keep people away" he said with a small laugh before kissing her cheek once more. "Get some sleep sweetie. "We can talk some more in the morning. I'll come up with more naked things we can do together as well" he said jokingly.
"I wonder how kindly the townsfolk will take to us starting a nude cult," Emerson joked lazily, her smiling teeth brushing against Bones' skin. "I do need to sleep, though." She breathed into his neck for a few more seconds, taking in his scent. "Good-night, Crispin," she yawned finally, closing her eyes again and drifting off.
"Nah I think they'd enjoy it" Bones said and then just listened as her breathing slowed down and she fell asleep. He kissed her forehead softly before closing his eyes and falling asleep as well. It took a lot longer for him to fall asleep, he was still kind of on edge, but he eventually fell into a light sleep. Thankfully.
Emerson kept close to Bones in her sleep, and a few hours later she awoke with a slight yawn, her eyes blinking a few times to clear her vision. She didn't want to wake up Bones, so she carefully slid out of his grasp and kissed his shoulder before slipping off the bed and padding downstairs to get the laundry moving along.
Bones grumbled slightly when he felt Emerson leave, but didn't wake up. He rolled over as Emerson left the room and grumbled a bit more but still remained asleep. About an hour later though he groaned softly and finally pushed himself out of bed and ambled down the stairs. "Though I said no laundry" he said jokingly with a smirk when he saw what she was doing.
Emerson smirked as Bones approached her, lifting the sheets she had just pulled from the drier. "I'm taking care of the bedding, don't worry," she said, setting the sheet on top of the machine before turning back to Crispin and wrapping her arms around him. "Sleep good?"
"Eh, yeah I guess" Bones said and smiled down at her. "How about you" he said and kissed her forehead softly. "Get enough sleep?" he asked, still a little worried about her well being, she almost died the other day after all. Copper came lumbering down the stairs and dashed into the kitchen and sat down just staring at Bones and Emerson.
"Yeah, I'm good," Emerson replied, catching Bones' lips in a kiss before slipping past him and patting Copper's head. "I'll feed her," she offered over her shoulder. She did just that before lifting herself to sit up on the counter. "So, aside from pants-off dance off, I know we need to do some shopping today."
Copper purred loudly and started eating immediately.Bones chuckled and walked over to Emerson and stood in front of her. "Yeah we do, this house is sadly empty" he said with a smile. "We can have the pants off dance off when he get back" he said with a smile. "How's that sound" he asked with a smile as he ran his hands up her legs before slowly pulling her closer to him.
Emerson made a chuckle-humming noise and wrapped her legs around him loosely. "Sounds like a plan to me. Fair warning, though, I prefer to wear clothing in public. For now." She set her hands on his shoulders and pulled him in for a kiss.
"Dang it" Bones said with a chuckled before kissing her softly as she pulled him in close. He pulled away slowly and smirked, "You got a list of everything we need at the store?" he asked. She was more organized then him so he figure she's have at least something to go off of.
"Not a physical one." Emerson shrugged and leaned over to grab a piece of paper that had an old list on it, flipping it over before deciding it wasn't necessary. "It's in my head." She smirked and tossed the paper aside with a loose shrug. "Can you think of anything we need?"
Bones shrugged, "Not at the moment but I'm sure it'll come to me while we're there" he said with a smile. "Come on, let's go. If we're going to have a fun day we gotta get the boring stuff over with" he said jokingly with a smile.
"Alright," Emerson replied, unwrapping herself from him and slipping down off the counter. "Let me get dressed first." She gestured to the shirt and bare legs she had and walked past him to go change upstairs. She came back a few minutes later in a dark gray button-up and purple skinnies, tugging on her boots at she met back up with Bones. "Ready?"
Bones nodded slightly "Yeah I'm ready" he said and pulled his keys out of his wallet. "Lets go" he said and took her hand before walking out of the house. He walked her over to the truck and kindly opened the door for her.
"Why, thank you. Such a gentleman," Emerson teased, climbing into the truck and buckling in. She watched him move from the passenger to driver's side, reaching to take his hand when he got in. "I think we need vodka," she told him soberly.
Bones laughed softly and started the engine before taking her hand, "Wow girl" he said and backed out of their driveway. "Though yeah, your right. I think we do too" he said and sped down the road, like normal not obeying any traffic laws, other then maybe streetlights.
"Glad we agree." A smirk appeared on Emerson's face as she paid attention to the passing scenery. It was definitely a pretty town. "It will definitely make the dance off more interesting." Over the past couple months, mostly thanks to Bones, her alcohol tolerance had deepened, so it was harder for her to get drunk.
After a few moments Bones pulled into the store parking lot and killed the engine. Then he turned in the seat and looked at Emerson. "Okay, so what do we all need?" he asked, just wondering and wanted a short list of it as well. "Booze, new towels, food......"
Emerson nodded, releasing Bones' hand and unbuckling. "That's basically it." She mulled it over in her head, nodding again slowly. "I can't really think of anything else, so otherwise we'll just wing it. Want to split up to get it done faster?" she asked, her hand poised on the handle of her door.
Bones shook his head slightly, "Definitely not" he said and got out of the car. He'd been watching but it was still possible that they were followed, and he wasn't going to have her be cornered by Malachi again. "Don't care how long it takes"
"Okay." Emerson gave a one-shoulder shrug before climbing out of the truck and meeting him to walk up to the store. She understood, and had kind of hoped he would refuse. She didn't want to be alone. She ran a hand through her hair and glanced over at him. "We wouldn't want a bloodfest in the store, right?"
Bones chuckled, "Now why wouldn't we want that. Sounds like a good time to me" he said with a small laugh before locking the doors to his truck and walking around it over to Emerson. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder and kissed her cheek, before walking towards the store doors.
"I think with the attitude that's radiating off of you, everyone but the cashier will steer clear of us," Emerson teased, giving a 'I told you so' look when someone -probably a greeter- looked at the two, narrowed her eyes, and looked away. "You're just so intimidating."
"What, I'm a nice guy" Bones said with a laughed and kissed her cheek once more. "Don't see how I could possibly ever be seen as intimidating" he said jokingly, really not caring what other people thought of him. "Hey while where here we should get some dishes and stuff. Pots, pans plates"
"That's a good idea," Emerson agreed, pulling a cart out of the rack. "Maybe silverware, too." She smirked and paused at a table that held a bunch of soft blankets, running a hand over it -an old habit she didn't care to drop. "Feel this," she ordered, holding it up for Bones to touch.
Bones chuckled, "Why" he asked and ran his hand over the fabric "It's just a blanket, which we already have" he said with a smile. "Unless you want to get some stuff for the guest room as well" he said and shrugged slightly, he really didn't care.
Emerson groaned and tossed it into the cart. "We have a comforter, but we don't have a blanket." She pushed it along again and told him over her shoulder, "And besides, I'm paying today, so you can't complain." Okay, Emerson had a thing for throw blankets. She'd make Bones understand later, hopefully. "You are so lucky you're not doing this on your own today."
"Pfft, you think your paying today, but it ain't happening sweetheart" Bones said with a smirk. "You didn't bring any money with you" he said, knowing that for a fact. Only because he pick-pocketed off of her and left it in the car. It was more of a joke then a refusing to let her pay type of thing though. If she really wanted to she could go and get it.
"Liar," Emerson shot back, although a hand reached to pat her back pocket and she froze in the aisle, whirling to face Bones. "You're a child. If you had wanted to touch my butt you could have asked nicely, rather than having to use my wallet as a lame excuse." She crossed her arms over her chest.
Bones chuckled softly, "Nah touching your butt was the fun part, taking her money was just a bonus" he said and walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her. His hands down her back and over her butt, "See I love touching your butt" he said and kissed her softly. "And your moneys in the car don't worry about it" he said.
Emerson's hands slowly slid from their defensive grip and rested at his hips, not able to hide the smirk that appeared on her lips. "Fine, but I'm going to get it so I can actually pay," she muttered before kissing him. "You're mean." She pulled away and turned her back on him, pretending to still be pissed.
"You're not paying for this one sweetie, you paid for the last two" Bones said with a smirk and followed her, "And hey you love me and you know it" he said and hurried to caught up with her. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her close, her back pressing up against his chest. "Still love me don't ya baby" he whispered in her ear before kissing her neck softly a few times.
Emerson loosed a soft breath, closing her eyes as he breathed against her skin. "Of course I do, but you'll have to make it up to me." She relaxed from her stiff posture, though, leaning into Bones' touch. "The throw blanket might do well." She smirked and leaned away enough to where she could look at the shelf past him, pretending to not be fazed by what he was doing.
