Emerson looked up from her desk, a smile crossing her face before she stood, quickly shuffling away her papers and moving to unlock the front door, holding it open for Bones to come in. "Hey there," she said, amusement on her face.

((Hey it a little bit did you want to skip a few weeks into the future, with Emerson and Bones hanging out a lot during that time. So that when Bones father does come into the picture their relationship and feelings are a little more serious.))
((Sure, that sounds good. Do you want to skip now, or after this date?))
((Sounds good.))
Emerson closed the door after Bones came in and blanched, realizing she had totally flaked on figuring out what they would do as a date. She hooked her fingers through her hip belt loops and stood closer to Bones. "Eheh... About that... I figured I would wing it. Well, I just figured that now." She let out a breathy laugh. "We could go out and terrorize old humans, or children too, I guess. Or we could stay in." She shrugged, smirking sheepishly.

"Oh, bless you," Emerson joked, catching the pencil and twirling it in her fingers. "So which is it? Do you want to start with drawing, or photography?" She stuck the pencil behind her ear, making a thoughtful look as she rubbed her chin. "I vote we do both anyway."

"Well, how about we go there, then? I'll teach you photography and you can give me tips from your artist's brain," Emerson joked, though she was serious about going. She hadn't drawn in a long time, so she was curious to watch Bones do it. Plus, it seemed fun. "Give me a second and I'll grab my stuff." She slipped past Bones and climbed up the ladder, locating her camera bag and slinging the strap over her shoulder, while also taking a messenger bag that she used to use when she would go places to draw or sketch. Back downstairs, she pulled her hair out from underneath the bags' handles and said, "Ready?"

Emerson nodded, leaning into the space between the seat and door to put her stuff in the back seat before climbing in. She still remembered to buckle and looked over at Bones as he pulled away from the store's sidewalk. "I'm glad we can do this," she said quietly. "So, where's your perfect spot?"

"Alright." Emerson was curious about the place, and wondered if she had ever seen it before. Probably not, seeing as how she never really got around to exploring this part of the woods. The gravel crunching beneath the truck's tires soothed her, and she looked out the window as Bones drove.

It was a bit of a walk but they did finally get to a small clearing, near a river. Just through the branches of the trees you could see a small water fall. The fact that it was fall with the colored leaves and everything just made it even more beautiful.

((I can't open spoilers because I'm on mobile; I'll just assume it's totally gorgeous.))
Emerson kept glancing at Bones the entire time they walked in, a bit transfixed by him. She was about to make a snarky comment about 'being special' when he stopped and gestured, and the air fled from Emerson's lungs in a soft wush as she took in the sheer beauty of the area. The clearing, the leaves, the waterfall and stream- everything was transfixing and utterly amazing. A small gasp escaped her lips as she spun around to get the entire effect, stopping and walking to the stream to run her hand in the water. "I can't think of how to describe this looks to be. This is fantastic." In fact, it was the most beautiful thing Emerson had seen in a long, long while.

((No lol, This is it's general look. lol https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi... ))
Emerson looked to where Bones pointed. "Okay..." she said, unsure but moving and sitting down there anyway. She criss-crossed her legs and looked around, curious as to why she had to sit there, but not seeing anything different. "Uh, why am I sitting here?"
((Haha okay, thanks.))
((Haha okay, thanks.))

Emerson found it really, really hard not to talk and stay still, as Bones had ordered, but he was flattered that he chose to draw her, especially while he could have been drawing the waterfall or something more miraculous. The thought did occur to her that he had drawn all of it before, but she stayed still anyway -although she knew a smile crept across her lips.

Emerson hopped into a standing position, dusting off her pants and walking back to Bones on the log, setting her own bags down next to it and climbing over the log to stand behind him. "Can I see?" she inquired, trying to peek over his shoulder.

Emerson moved to sit next to Bones so she could see it better. "It's fantastic!" she exclaimed, though not wanting to seem vain because it was partially of her. She grinned at Bones and bumped her shoulder into his. "The detail is spectacular. You're an amazing artist," she said, and meant it.

Emerson blushed a little bit. "Well, that's very flattering of you to say," she joked back, leaning over to grab her camera bag and unzipped it while she waited on Bones to finish his drawing. She grabbed the camera and a soft cloth to clean the lens while she watched him.

Emerson smiled and took the offered drawing, studying it a bit more before placing it in her art bag so she would not have to fold it. "Thank you, Crispin. I love it." She turned back to him, pressing her lips to his for a moment before pulling back and holding up what was in her hand. "So, this is a camera, just in case you've never seen one," she joked, handing it to him and gesturing to some of the buttons. "Of course, that one takes the picture, but if you pause halfway down while pressing it will focus."

Emerson smiled and watched, leaning forward to look at the screen with an approving nod. "That was good. Now, that sliding switch thing lets you zoom in, and the three-choice flip button there-" she tapped it, "Lets you tell the camera whether you're taking a landscape, portrait or macro picture. Instance, the difference between you taking a picture of the waterfall, or me, or a close up of that leaf."

Emerson enjoyed watching the scenery and, well, Bones, but straightened the lazy smirk on her face when he sat back down. "Oh... A long time. Well, not long in our terms, but in human life." She pinched her lips, thinking about it. "Twenty... Probably closer to thirty years, I think. I first took it up as a cover to do work for Kylist, but I liked it to much to use it for him." She touched Bones' arm and asked, "How long have you been drawing?"

"Hmm... And what makes you stop and start again?" Emerson asked, studying him for a second before returning her attention to the waterfall. She had been the same with playing piano, but altogether stopped when she broke off from Kylist, and now reconsidered it.

Emerson smiled a little, though not sure if he had meant that he usually only started drawing again when he saw something beautiful or special to be so smooth. She chuckled a little and nodded, though. "Yeah, but it's not just this generation. I think it's been a long time coming." She sighed lightly. "Though, there are good properties that have come along with the ruin. Like their own kind of art, and the fact that some of them are trying to save places like this." She gestured around them. "I guess it's kind of late, though."

Emerson nodded and accepted the camera, turning it back on as it had fell asleep and pressed the button to bring up the gallery. She held the camera so they could both view the pictures as she flipped through them, stopping at the first picture Bones had taken. "Pretty good for a newbie," Emerson joked, though it was true. It seemed he had a talent in that field as well.

Emerson shook her head. "No, you're wrong. My photography skills are ethereal," she finished with a smirk. "I could get a picture of your eyebrow so detailed that..." She stopped, unsure where she was going with that and laughed sheepishly. "I'm not that good, and besides, I usually did urban pictures." But she stood up anyway and began taking some.

Emerson felt his eyes on her and could only ignore it for a minute before she turned around, letting the camera dangle by it's strap she held in her hand. "What?" she demanded, wondering why he had been staring. If it had been something like him rethinking a relationship with her, that was what made her sound so forceful. Otherwise, she realized it sounded sort of rude.

Emerson deepened the kiss a bit before pulling back just enough to look up at Bonds with a smirk. "Is that so? How much cuter than usual?" she teased before tilting her head to kiss him again, her eyelids fluttering closed.

"That's good to know. I had assumed my being an angel would be such a turn-off that it would offset my cuteness." Emerson chuckled and wrapped her arms around him, biting her lip while she studied his face. "You do have fortunate features as well." Though that sounded like a terrible comeback, she thought.

"I would bet you love looking in the mirror." Emerson smiled softly a closed her eyes a little but in bliss as he touched her face, catching his hand in hers when he tucked her hair behind her ear. She brought his hand to her lips and kissed it softly before sighing silently.

"Only if it's so you can watch me more," Emerson joked before pulling away and turning the camera back on. She shot a not-so-sneaky picture of Bones with a short giggle before returning to take pictures of the scenery around them, changing the settings on the camera every now and then.
