Emerson gave a shrug but started chuckling after she said, "Well, you know..." She trailed off, pausing for just a second before getting in Bones' truck. "So? Where do you want to go? The beach was for me, so next place is yours." She tugged her hair over her shoulder before buckling in.

"We could go get drunk, sure. I'm curious to see how many drinks does it for you." Emerson was only sort of joking as she settled into the passenger seat. She backtracked and noticed Bones' sigh and gently pressed her hand to his arm. "What's the matter?"

"Okay." Emerson thought about it but shrugged. "I'm not exactly the bar type, as you would know, so I don't really know of any good ones." Then again, she supposed a bar didn't have to be good to get you drunk. She accepted Bones' hand with a small smile.

Bones nodded sightly and just went to the closest one. It didn't take long fro them to get there and he pulled up into the parking lot and parked in the far back corner. He smiled at Emerson before climbing out of the car and shutting the door behind him.
((It's cool.))
Emerson hopped out of the truck on her own, meeting Bones at the front of it with a hefty, 'I'm preparing myself,' sort of sigh. "Shall we?" she inquired, offering her hand to hold. She stared at a couple of kids passing what legally should have been just a cigarette but judging by the god-awful smell was a joint and grimaced.

"The entire bar thing was your idea, but-" Emerson was interrupted by one of the kids catcalling her. In return, she raised her hand with a certain special finger raised and the kid shrugged with a laugh. "We can do whatever," she finished, turning to Bones to ignore the kids.

"That's very chivalrous of you," Emerson commented as she climbed back in the truck. "Thanks." She buckled her seat belt again and waited for Bones to climb back in. "We... Probably shouldn't go to the larger liquor mart. I think the cashier thinks I'm an alcoholic at this point."

"Um..." Emerson crosse her arms and traced her lower lip with her finger. "Perhaps because I've bought a lot of strong drinks from them recently?" It came out as more of a question, and her voice lilted at the end. "That's probably it."

"Oh, I don't drink all of it. Mostly I keep it for my patients and making orders. The businesses I usually buy from get suspicious when I buy in bulk." Emerson unbuckled and hopped out of the truck, meeting Bones on his side. "What did you assume?" she asked teasingly.

"Well, good. I don't drink much." Emerson was pretty sure she had already told him that, but it didn't matter. Repetition was okay on that subject. She gave a smile to the worker whose eyes lifted when the door's bell rang and then she followed Bones around the store's aisles.

"Um, you're the..." Emerson dropped her voice, eyeing the human from a ways away- "demon. You know more than I do, probably." She shrugged, tracing her finger along a couple of bottles. "Gin, vodka, rum... Whatever." She shrugged.

((Hey did you ever want to continue with our other one?))
((Yeah, can we get to it in.. A couple days? I'm busy tomorrow and about to go to bed... Sorry, I totally forgot :/))
"Fruity? As in, fruit? In alcohol? Fruit flavored?" Emerson was obviously mocking his question, pausing a moment to snag a vodka bottle off of a shelf before catching up to Bones. "Why, Bones, I never pegged you as a ladylike drinker. Good for you, putting it out there on the second date." She gave a curt nod to the cashier as she took her bottle and Bones', holding a hand out to indicate she wouldn't let him pay for it. She quickly paid and grabbed the two, gesturing for Bones to follow back out.

"I don't like fruity drinks, just figured you would" Bones said with a smirk before watching her pay. He didn't really pay, just meant that he'd have more money for something else. He grabbed the bottles off the counter once they were paid for and started walking out with her.
((Thanks!))
Emerson shouldered the door of the liquor store open for the two of them, smirking once they were outside. "So, do you want to walk to the park or drive?" she questioned, stopping in front of Bones' truck and arching a shoulder questioningly.
((Do you still want Abby to catch them on their date? If so, when?))

"Probably drive" Bones said and smiled at her for a moment before going around to his side of the car and climbing in. He climbed into the drivers seat and started the engine. He looked over at Emerson and watched her climbed into the truck. Once she was in he back out of the drive away and drove towards the park.
((Sure.))
Emerson held the two liquor bottles in her lap, drumming her fingers on them awkwardly as Bones drove. Once he stopped at the park, she unbuckled and hopped out of his truck, meeting Bones outside of it. She handed his bottle to him with a smirk. "Where do you want to go? Bench? Tree?" she questioned, turning towards the park.

Emerson sat down next to him and pressed her back to the tree before opening her bottle of vodka. "Well, before, as I mentioned, most angels have sticks up their asses. I'm mostly the same." She sighed, swirling the drink around without sipping. "I used to have too much fun, so now I don't. Not in the past five or ten years, anyway."

"Hey!" Emerson jokingly pushed Bones' arm. "You're not allowed to say it. And besides, I'm much more entertaining than you believe- you just haven't witnessed it firsthand yet. Why do you think Kylist kept me around for so long?" she teased, but bringing up that demon made her wince and bring the vodka bottle to her lips to drink.

"With that attitude, you won't get to be wowed," Emerson retorted, raising her eyebrows before she took a drink. She pulled away from the lip of the bottle and laughed, rolling her eyes. "Consider yourself lucky to even be allowed to imagine my excitement." She leaned her head against the tree and eyed Bones. "What about you, though? Do you have any non-demonic activities?"

"Good for you! Those all seem like great ideas that don't involve torture," Emerson teased. "Really, though, that's cool." She held the neck of her bottle and just swung it in a loose circle to swirl the liquor, though she wasn't sure why. She swigged again, not wincing as the burn followed down her throat. "Do you have human acquaintances?" She was sort of curious if he was the dating-around type.

"I understand," Emerson said with a nod, taking another drink. "Most of them aren't so great, either, so why waste twenty years or so around them? Plus, of course at some point they would notice we're not really aging, and questions would start. It's an avoidable mess." She sighed before bringing the bottle to her lips again.

"That's a neat party trick," joked Emerson. But something in the change made her feel weird, so she averted her eyes and took a long drink of her vodka. Her accent grew thicker with each gulp, but she didn't mind. "And, these humans, are they radicals? I mean, extremists? Or they just don't mind you being a demon?"

"Oh, yeah? And where does an angel fall on your cool scale?" Emerson tested, arching a blonde eyebrow at him. She smirked and moved to take a swig of her vodka before pausing and frowning, thinking she sees someone off in the shadows, staring at the two.
((I hope now is okay?))

"Eh" Bones said and shook his head slightly. "Just a but of glorified rebellions. Still boring angels" he said and chuckled slightly before taking a long chug from his bottle. By this point he'd almost finished half the bottle and was definitely feeling a bit buzzed. "What about you sweetheart" he asked with a smirk and looked around at the park a bit. "Fuck" he said and rolled his when he saw her. "One second" he said and pushed himself up onto his feet. He shook his head slightly and then walked over to her. "What the hell are you doing?" he asked angrily.
"I have no idea" Abby said sounding horrified. "Cause it looks like I'm watching you flirt with an angel" she said and pushed him back. "What the hell are you doing" she hissed.
Bones stumbled back a bit when she pushed him, but only because he was drunk. "Whatever the hell I want to do that's what" he snapped.
"What's your father going to say when he finds out" Abby shot back. Though Bones and his brother and sister were abandoned as babies he still knows who his father is. Found him the same way he found his siblings, just the feeling demons get when their by family. And well his father is not a nice guy. And is possibly the leader of the demons who actively go out and hunt angels for fun.
"I don't give a fuck?" Bones snapped and shook his head slightly. "Why should I? He doesn't care about what I do either" he said.
"Yeah well you might be able to take that chance but I can't" Abby said and ran past him and towards Emerson.
Bones sighed softly and cursed under his breathe before running after her. He caught her just before she reached Emerson. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her away from the angel. "I said leave it be" he said and pulled her away from the tree. He tossed her aside and glared at her. "Don't worry about it Abby. It's none of your business" he said.
"Let's see if you'll be saying that later" Abby said and glared at Emerson. "Hope you enjoy the sex, cause I know I sure as hell did" she said and liked her lips sensually before tossed her knife at Emerson's face, still hoping to kill the angel.
Bones hot his hand out when he saw her start to throw the knife and caught it just before it went through the angel's head. "Abby I said leave" he said and glared at her before the demon ran off.
((That okay?))
((That was good ^_^ I have to go now, though. Bye!))
Emerson watched as Bones walked away an towards the figure she had seen earlier, groaning as she slumped her buzzing head against the tree. When she heard a woman's voice screeching at Bones, though, she peeked and eye open, trying to stand up as the figure that turned into a blurry woman came running towards her. Damn the liquor! she thought as she realized curling away would be more useful than trying to stand. "What the hell?..." she murmured as Bones grabbed the girl and threw her to the side. The girl made a snide remark that made Emerson scowl, about to shoot back when she caught the flash of silver in her eye before Bones grabbed it. She was trying to kill her! The girl ran away before Emerson could get in the middle of it, but she used the tree to help herself stand up and face Bones. "Who was that?" she demanded, still damning the alcohol that she hadn't had her wits.

((Okay, bye.))
"Protect you from me?" Emerson trie to clarify. She nodded a bit before feeling tipsy and pressing her back to the tree. "I'm fine, just a little drunk. Why would she try to protect you from me? If anything, I'm the one who should be worried." It was true, though. There was no reason for her to harm Bones. She ignored her vertigo and took a long, exasperated drink.

((Later on, do we want Abby to tell his father? Or he finds out some other way? What were you thinking?))
Emerson really didn't appreciate the 'Let me be a man' kind of crap that Bones seemed to try to be pulling. She studied him with her eyes narrowed. "If it's something you have to handle, then I would rather know so I can take care of myself," she said slowly, as if to try to get Bones to notice she didn't like how he was acting. Though that was hard, especially being slightly drunk. She huffed and sat back down, cupping the vodka in her palms and glaring at the bottle.

Bones rolled his eyes, "You don't have to worry about it" he snapped. "We have two options" he said and looked over at her, kind of annoyed by how drunk she was. "Either we don't see each other ever again" he said and looked around a bit, kind of wondering if Abby had returned. She wasn't the type to give up easily. "Or you let me handle it, because I can guarantee that it is above your pay grade. Because it's about two thousand years above mine" he said and glared at her for a moment. Then he bent over and grabbed his scotch bottle, "Come on we're leaving"
((Sure, like maybe Abby tries to convince Bones to get rid of her?))
Emerson scowled, shooting up to stand. "Do not yell at me," she warned in a low tone. The angel took a step back from Bones and looked off in the direction the demon had run. "I've an even better idea. If your friend is so worried about you, then she ought of have a plan. Go ahead and ask her." She turned, not in the direction of Bones' truck, but the general area that she would meet at her house, if headed in. If the thing had put Bones in such a snappy mood, then she didn't want to be around him more that night. "You should have told me you would have ended up in trouble for being around me," she shot over her shoulder before stalking off.

((Yeah.))
It was probably something of Emerson's pride or stubbornness or both that made her keep walking and not bother to turn and continue arguing with Bones. She considered dropping the vodka bottle but just kept it at her side, an annoying reminder of the buzz in her head if it wasn't already enough. So what if she actually liked Bones? He already had a plan to leave town; there was no point in pursuing. And obviously his friend had a thing for him anyway.
((Maybe he slips up and tells her where Emerson lives/works?))
