OkJamie walked into school with her best friend Kayleigh by her side her hand brushed against hers and she attached it to her arm
"So" kayleigh said laughing. Are you ready for this year?" She asked on the first day of school, with their arms linked. They had been best friends sonce first grade
" for it to be over..." She says then giggles they went to their first period class to get their locker combo from their teacher
After throwing their stuff in their lockers, they parted ways for a few classes until lunch time. Kayleigh found jamie at their designated table, and plopped her bag down on the table before sitting down
Jamie took a bite of a carrot " hey omg history was so lame who wants to know about history it already happened" she took another crunch
"Hey, jamie, we gotta learn something." She laughed, opening her turkey sandwich package and popping open her iced mocha
" can't it be fun stuff that we learn" she says then took a sip of her icy tea
"Not everything is fun." Kayleigh said laughing. She grabbed her stuff afted some gossip with friends, and waved for jamie to follow her outside into the sunshine
Jamie threw her.eftovers away and ran outside with Kayleigh " ugh I. Melting" she says noting the heat
Kayleigh was wearing shorts and a flowy tank top with sandals, so she was just fine and decided to lay down in the grass. "Come on Jamie , its not that bad
"Ugh your torturing me!"Jamie sat next to her and leaned back int eh grass
"Thats what im here for!" She laughed. She put her hands at her side, quickly brushing jamies hand accidentally
Jamie looked up at her then at the ground the bell rang mentioning to com back into forth period
Kayleigh got up, and they headed to their fourth period togetger.
" finally something I'm good at!" She says entering art
After art, where they started to draw a skyline. They finished out the day strong, meeting at the fountain after the end of the day bell
" yay homework on the first day!!" She says sarcasticalh
Kayleigh laughed. " wanna go get ice cream?" She asked, wanting to spend as much time with jamiet as she could. The last few months, during the summer, her feelings had started to change into something new.
"Yes" she said a little bit too quickly . She slapped her self mentally . "I mean sure" she grinned a bit and rubbed her arm
Kayleigh stood up and vravely grabbed her hand. "Lets go conquer the rest of the day. She said walking to her car
When they walked into the ice cream parlor they grabbed a booth and sat across from each other.
" getting my favorite cookies and cream" she said " queuing you getting your favorite mint chocolate chip"
"Of course I am jamie !" She laughed. "You know me so well"
" it's been your favorite flinch eve known you " she says giggling they get their ice cream
They finished after maybe an hour, and they were hanging out sitting on kayleighs bed.
Jamie laid upside down on her bed Looking at the movie that was on in her bedroom
"So jamie. Any cute guys you saw today?" She asked
"Meh" she says sitting up " not really.."
"Me niether." She said, not wanting to admit that she didnt look at any other guys, only jamie"
Jamie looked at the. TV then at her then at the bed then at her
She blushed. "I had somebody else in mind" she said softly
"Who? Did you meet someone over the summer?"
