Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) May be if they think we can't understand they'll leave us alone? Yeah she didn't really believe that but she could hope right?

"Do you think we'll get a chance to see the outsiders?" He asked, wondering what Guidon thought of it.

message 102: by Giulia (new)

Giulia "They don't talk hm?" he questioned. "Not that we've recorded, no," she responded, producing a clipboard in preparation for his command. "Then make them talk. I want to hear what they know. All that they know," he demanded seriously, his voice dark as he peered at Avery. "Yes sir," the woman replied.

"Ha, I wish my friend! But who knows, maybe we'll process their biometric information when we're there?" Guidon suggested optimistically. "That's as good as meeting them."

message 103: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Avery tried to suppress a shutter at that. Ander.... She was scared. Not sure what to expect. What were these people going to do? She wished her and her brother were back home.

"Not quiet the same, but you're right in that's probably as close as we'll get."

message 104: by Giulia (last edited Jul 14, 2015 08:45PM) (new)

Giulia "However sir, we can't touch them until their quarantine is up," the woman explained. "When will that be?" he questioned. "Two weeks sir. However, there is a way we can speed up the process. If we used the contagion rooms and the necessary precautions, we can start right away," she offered and he nodded. "Good. We need results as soon as possible. There is a boy you say?"
"Across the hall sir." Ander didn't catch everything they had said, but what he did understand was ominous enough.

"Well this is my class. See you two," Luna said, waving goodbye as she broke off from the group.
((With these guys, should we skip to the application process at the end of the day with the Dr. Frece?))

message 105: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Avery was trying her best to keep up with the conversation though most of it didn't make sense. Ander what do you think they're going to do to us? She asked, a bit of a tremor in her mental voice. She was scared, trying to hide it but she knew her bbrother would be able to tell.

After the last class finally let out Tyler headed towards Dr.Frece's office, still as excited about joining CAGE as he had been that morning.

message 106: by Giulia (new)

Giulia He had a terrifying feeling of what they could do, seeing as they were unique even among Outsiders, but he didn't want to relay it to her. He figured, however, that she could sense his terse emotion through their telepathic pathway.
The Insiders moved over to Ander's cell and slid the slot aside to peer at him. "Twins indeed," the man remarked. "This gives us leverage," the woman agreed. "I've changed my mind. Get started next week. I want them to stay in their cells a bit longer, so they know what's it like to be trapped without an option. That way, our offer will be more pleasing."
"Yes sir."

Guidon, Evelyn, Luna and three others were there already, discussing among themselves the opportunity before them. Dr. Frece eventually entered and saw everyone was present and so began.
"You all know why you are here so let me get straight to it. Here are forms you'll need to sign out for your respective placements. Kuiper and Vega, you two have the Polibureau forms. The CAGE forms for you two, and these for you..." he proceeded to give out all the necessary paperwork.

message 107: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Ander? whatever it is you're thinking please tell me. She asked him as she moved back over to her bed and sat on the edge. She wanted to go home. Back to the forests. It was too cramped and small in this room. and the Insiders. She didn't know what they wanted. Why did they take her and Ander? What did they want from them?

Tyler looked over the forms after Dr. Frece handed them to him. It was a lot of information but shouldn't take too long to fill out. "When do you need these back Dr. Frece?"

message 108: by Giulia (last edited Jul 18, 2015 08:57PM) (new)

Giulia "You did a good job Moira, in tracking them down," the man said approvingly and she hid her pleased smile. "When I saw the patterns of the electromagnetic interference with our force field barriers, I knew it wasn't something within the city. It registered at another level. Finding these two were easy enough," she responded, giving one last look at the pair of them before signalling the guard forward. "Collect basic biometric from them in the coming week. Then, we transfer them to Level 3." The guard nodded and the pair walked out.
'Avery, did you hear that? I think they want to...see what we know. What we can do. Who knows what sort of technology these guys have - they could do anything,' Ander replied worryingly to his sister.

"Actually, if you could all sit and complete them right now, that'd be very helpful. If all goes smoothly, you could start as soon as Friday. I'll remind you, these work placements are seven days a week, though Mondays are half days," he replied to Tyler. Luna begin writing in her form - it asked for skill sets, preferred jobs within the placement, name, history, grades and family connections.

message 109: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Avery didn't understand most of what they said but like her brother the part she did understand worried her. What can we do? We can't get out of here. I just want to go home. She sighed, sitting carefully on the edge of the bed. I'm scared She admitted to him.

message 110: by Giulia (new)

Giulia 'Me too. Let's no lose each other in all this, alright?' he called back to her. Moira and the president of CAGE then walked out, their job inspecting the siblings done. Was it too far fetched to hope the Outsiders could mount a rescue mission for them? Would they risk it, being so small a group? But he knew their conservative leader, and the chances were very slim.

message 111: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Never. she agreed immediately. She would always be there for her brother just like he was always there for her. They were family. We'll figure something out.

Tyler nodded, taking a seat at one of the desks and beginning to fill out the form. He knew it would be a lot of work but CAGE was the best assignment he could think of. He couldn't wait to start it. And the slim chance me might see the outsiders.....

message 112: by Giulia (new)

Giulia 'For now...we wait.' Ander said nervously, slumping against his bed and looking at the plain walls. It was sanitary and white in here, and the clothes they had on were synthetic and felt so different to what they wore on the Outside.

"Great. Thank you Luna. And you Evelyn, Guidon," Dr. Frece said as the forms were handed back in, "you'll hear from me shortly. Tonight, if it's any one of your turns to use the Link, I suggest you search up your place of employment."

((Suggest fast forwarding both to the beginning of the work placements?))

message 113: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((Yeah. Good idea. Can you start?))

message 114: by Giulia (new)

Giulia ((No probs))

The morning of the following Monday, three men went down to the prison block, two carrying biometric sensing equipment and one there to record the information. Ander started when he saw them through sleepy vision eyes, sitting up and alerting his sister with a mental call. 'They're carrying something I don't know...'.

Luna smoothened back her tight ponytail, wanting to look presentable in her school uniform. She straightened her shirt and pants before walking out of her room with renewed excitement and vigour. Once the routine breakfast was up, a hovercraft would pick up all the interns.

message 115: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Avery was about to ask him who they were coming to when the door to her room opened. Avery swallowed nervously, backing into the corner. Instinctively she used her powers to push them away from her without thinking about it.

message 116: by Giulia (new)

Giulia The men were repulsed and slammed into Ander's door. He saw everything and rushed to the cell door, trying to get a better look on what they were doing. The men shook their heads as they got up and glanced at one another. "She needs to be calm," one said and so they closed her door once more, input a command into a nearby keypad to release tranquillising gas into her cell.

message 117: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) It was soon that she starred to feel dizzy. Ander.... She began before she collapsed unconscious to the floor.

message 118: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Ander began to furiously bang on the door, calling out her name for real as he watched her collapse. The men opened the door when the gas had cleared and approached her unconscious body, beginning to take measurements of her height and features, murmuring among themselves.

message 119: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) After they finished with her they crossed over to Ander's room, turning on the gas first this time. It would be quicker to do it this way. Avery was starting to come to though her head was still fuzzy and her limbs felt heavy. She couldn't move.

message 120: by Giulia (new)

Giulia ((Don't forget about Tyler and Luna))

Ander passed out quickly as well and he laid unconscious as they repeated the method on him. "Her powers..." one commented. "What is the extent of the damage she can do?" the other agreed as they proceeded with the work. "When we move them to Level 3, we'll see," the first one replied.

message 121: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((Sorry!))

She groggily pushed herself up, stumbling to the door. Ander? She knew that if he could hear her it would still sound weak.

Tyler was already in the breakfast room. He was both extremely nervous and extremely excited about today. He only got a little bit to eat and scarfed it down, counting down the minutes until the hovercraft would arrive to take them to CAGE.

message 122: by Giulia (new)

Giulia ((No probs. By the way, I think it's your turn on the Forbidden Forest topic.))

"We'll move them up after lunch then," they agreed and finished up with the pair. The men left to give the information to Moira, the head of their department.

Guidon grabbed Tyler's shoulder, excited. "Hovercraft's landing. Let's go," he told his friend. The entire canteen looked at them admiringly as the CAGE members entered to escort the two of them out. Luna watched as there was so much solemnity to their proceedings, she'd probably have to take the public commuter.

message 123: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Ander... Avery tried again to communicate with him. She had heard them say that they were going to be moved. Moved where? Ander what are we going to do!?

((Earlier you said that they were waiting for a hovercraft as well ;)))

message 124: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Ander groggily sat up, holding his head. 'You okay firstly? And secondly...I don't know...I think our own choice is to try and escape during moving to this next place.'

((Sorry, I don't understand what you mean?))
There was a man standing at the entrance of the hovercraft in a CAGE uniform who welcomed the two students in. "Hello," he began, holding his clipboard as he checked their identities. "My name is Raleigh, and I'll be your observer during your period with us."

message 125: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((In you're previous post with Luna there was a hovercraft coming for all the interns. You're other comment said she'd probably have to take public transport.))

I'm fine. She told him. My head hurts but otherwise I'm okay. What about you? Ander's plan might work but what if they did something like this to them again before they moved them? What if they just woke up in wherever they were being moved?

message 126: by Giulia (last edited Aug 06, 2015 07:53PM) (new)

Giulia ((Oh whoops haha well you know how I lack in continuity skills, as long as you've got my back ;) Let's just have the others go on their own transports because I got this CAGE briefing all figured out and you know, plus extra VIP status for those CAGE applicants))

'I feel so useless. All we can do is sit and stare at the wall with our thoughts,' he responded to her, putting his back against the wall to straighten out his woozy mind and limbs. 'I'm going to go crazy without exercise or even a breath of fresh air.'

message 127: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Avery agreed with her brother. I don't like it here. if we can get out of here when we move....should we take the chance? She didn't know what to do. She didn't want to risk separating from her brother.

Tyler took in everything that was said as they were led into the hovercraft. His nerves were high as was his excitement.

message 128: by Giulia (new)

Giulia 'We will...if they wanted us dead, they would have done it already. If we escape, they won't kill us,' he said half-confidently. He didn't know for sure but that's what he suspected. 'Still worth a try.'

Raleigh invited them into the waiting hovercraft and took his seat on the bench opposite to theirs. "I was an applicant like you for this apprenticeship you know," he began, "and when I graduated, they were happy to accept me. They always take one intern. It could be either of you." Guidon sat down and glanced at Tyler. Either but not both.

message 129: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) What if they knock us out before they move us?

Tyler glanced back at his friend, wondering if there was any possibility they'd both be accepted. he didn't want to make this a competition, but he didn't ask. "What all should we be expecting? what will be expected of us?"

message 130: by Giulia (new)

Giulia 'Then we'll have to wait it out. It's just like hunting - we need time and the ability to see the opportunity,' he decided.

"These are your briefings," Raleigh said, handing over a sheet of paper to the pair of them. Guidon took his hungrily and scanned at their job description. "Over the course of the years, the applicants have continued to impress CAGE, so this year, you've got a good selection of duties. But first thing's first, a tour when we arrive, and I'll introduce you to the head of your laboratory department."

message 131: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) You're right. she quietly replied. I just hate it here...how long have we even been here do you think?

Tyler took the page and read over it. It was a lot. But he was confident that he'd be able to do it. He was still nervous overall though. It was the first day, of course he was. Tomorrow he'd probably feel better.

Evelyn was waiting near where Luna was, waiting for their hovercraft to arrive.

message 132: by Giulia (new)

Giulia 'When they turn off the lights, we sleep. When they turn it on, we wake. I don't know if they follow the schedule of the outside world...' he replied. 'If so, it's been almost a week.'

"We've got an...interesting project at the moment," Raleigh with a secretively knowing smile. Guidon wondered what he meant, but didn't want to ask as the hovercraft approached the courtyard. "Here are your IDs. Keep it on you at all times. And, try not to stick out." He stood and held the rail as he waited for the door to open.

Luna finally arrived with tight lips to the station, nodding to Evelyn briefly. "Will someone come to talk to us do you think?" she wondered.

message 133: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She sighed. she just wanted out. She wanted to go back home to the forests.

Tyler wondered if that had anything to do with what they'd seen on the tv the other week with the Outsiders. He was too nervous to ask as well but glanced over at Guidon. This was really happening. They were here.

"Probably." She shrugged. "There's got to be someone who's going to tell us what we have to do. show us around."

message 134: by Giulia (last edited Aug 14, 2015 03:35AM) (new)

Giulia Suddenly, men moved down into the hallways again. Ander stood up and saw them walk towards their cells. 'Heads up.' They were carrying two briefcases but he couldn't see past the thick metal.

Raleigh led the way off the craft, walking through the gravel courtyard onto the trimmed grass rim where some faculty members were taking a break. They all noticed the applicants. Raleigh showed his badge to the scanning machine before entering the slick white building and leading the way down metal and glass corridors. "In here, is our main attraction," he introduced, opening double doors with a green light lit next to it.

"What would we do apart from filing and scrolling down online archives all day," she murmured to herself as the public commuter arrived to its place. Many people hurried on, finding comfortable seats for themselves.

message 135: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Avery relied on her brother to tell her what was happening. With his power he'd have a better view of everything than she would.

Main attraction. That had to be the outsiders right? That was Tyler's first thoughts as he followed Raleigh into the building, looking around and trying to take in as much as he could. CAGE. He couldn't believe it.

Evelyn shrugged. She wasn't sure. "i guess we'll just have to wait and find out."

((There's a group you should join that reminds me of this rp. I think I invited you. Edge vs. Pup. ))

message 136: by Giulia (new)

Giulia 'Stopping out of your door first,' he told her, going to his own door to see them better. They put down their briefcase and slid aside her panel and looked in. "Subject alert," one reported.

"Green light means you may enter. Red obviously means the opposite," Raleigh began, walking on an elevated walkway circling in the laboratory below where many scientists were at work; number crunching, in vitro experiments, discussing their findings. "We should be starting at any minute," Raleigh told, then pointing to a man who stood by two metal beds, "and that is the doctor in charge. Dr. Herman."

The communter lifted off and stopped at many points before it was their return to descend. Luna got off and gazed upward at the tall, large and featureless Medibureau building. It was absolutely massive, and rather imposing. There was an impatient woman who noticed them.
"You two, from the compound. Hurry up," she called.

message 137: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Avery looked towards the door when they slid the panel. She was ready to throw them back again if they came in but would it do any good? Would they just knock her out again? she wished she had the ability ro read everyone's minds and not just her brother's. She wanted to know what to expect.

Tyler listened, looking at the different scientists go about their experiments. He nodded respectfully to Dr, Herman. "What's going to be happening?"

Evelyn raised an eyebrow at the tone but followed after the woman.

message 138: by Giulia (new)

Giulia ((Sorry I didn't reply to your message before! I remember you invited me to the group, and I did think consider it...I was afraid that since I'm not on often, I might slow any RPs I join, especially with my oncoming university term (oh btw I got into my dream uni!) ))

"Subject wary. Our orders are to transport them awake since the sedative might mess with the physiological results..." one told the other and he nodded. He closed the panel and opened the door cautiously, taking in the briefcase with him. Ander leaned against the metal door and watched to see what they were going to do.

Raleigh gave Tyler a sly smile and nodded over to the beds. "We've got two subjects coming in for some tests. I'm sure you've heard of them," he states vaguely. Dr. Herman then called for silence in the lab.
"You all know what to do when Subjects 1 and 2 arrive. Please prepare yourselves. Don your gloves and masks," he commands. "The quarantine for the Outsiders isn't over yet," Guidon told Raleigh who nodded. "Hence the protection," Raleigh indicated, taking them closer to the beds, still on the walkway.

"I haven't got all day to be training interns," she states, hurrying up the stairs and through the massive doors. She took them in an elevator and got off on the thirtieth floor. "This is your space, these two desks." The office was entirely open spaced, desks just lined like an exam hall. "These are your cards, computers and cabinets. Instructions are on the table." She then left them to their own devices. "Glamorous," Luna murmured, taking one of the desks.

message 139: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((Congrats! It's in England right? When do you start? I went back on the 20th. ))

Avery had no idea what he was carrying when he stepped in but knew it couldn't be good. She backed up into the wall, pushing them away from her.

Tyler swallowed nervously as the gear was passed out and he put his on. The outsiders. They were really going to see what the Outsiders looked like... He glanced at Gideon, trying to gauge his thoughts on this.

Eveylyn took the other, glancing over the instructions. Looked simple enough. Boring. But simple.

message 140: by Giulia (last edited Aug 24, 2015 02:27AM) (new)

Giulia ((Yup! Term time starts the 30th of September so I'm flying there with my mum to settle in just before. Exciting times...how many years in college do you have left? Do you like your new dorm?))

"Subject wary," he recorded into the little microphone on his lab collar. "We were told they must be transported without tranquillisers, lest it tamper with the physiological results of the tests," the other informed, opening the briefcase to reveal a complicated set of locks and covers. 'What are they saying?' Ander asked her not being able to hear clearly.

Guidon looked outwardly impressed and interested, but as he returned Tyler's gaze, he showed that he was also a bit apprehensive about the coming test. "What exams are you going to run?" he asked Raleigh who pointed to a big computer board opposite them, informing everyone of the testing schedule.

Luna took her seat and read over her instructions. She then went to her filing cabinet and looked at the types of papers she'd be handling. As with the Medibureau, she had the medical administration documents, for CAGE nonetheless. She had the first half of the alphabet, and she supposed Evelyn would have the other half.

message 141: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((One more year after this. Really classified as a senior now but still have a couple more classes to get my Bachelors. And I don't live on campus, never have. The college I go to is only like 35 minutes from my house so I just drive everyday. And since we'll be a bit closer in timezones you should make a Skype account and we should videochat one day ;)))

I'm not sure. I really don't understand it. Something about tests. She pushed them away from her again, not wanting them to come near her.

((Not sure really what to post for Evelynn.))

message 142: by Giulia (new)

Giulia ((Sweet. Any plans for afterwards? And I look forward to meeting Skype face-to-face one day, with decent times.))

'The case...it has a sort of lock in it,' he told her in response, pushing his powers to the limits to see through the thick metallic briefcase. The men opened and revealed a pair of handcuffs and began to approach her. "Do not hurt Subject 1," the other ordered.

Guidon read the board and found the usual biometric tests; blood sample, physical examinations, brain functions...he turned to Tyler and whispered, "What do you think they'll look like?"

((I was going to keep Luna and Evelyn's story line secret for the moment but I might as well tell you to continue the RP; I'm planning that they find out the government's secret intentions for the Outsiders view medical reports and movement plans and also find out more about what the government actually knows about the Outsiders, which is needed for Tyler and Guidon's storylines as well.))

message 143: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((I want to work in a lab once I graduate))

Avery couldn't back up anymore, her back was against the wall. She wasn't exactly sure what that was he was holding but she didn't like it. She tried using her powers to take it from her hands and throw it across the room, also trying to shove them back away from them. She didn't want to go with them.

Tyler looked up at Guidon after reading he bored himself. "I don't know. I mean...we've all heard the stories but...I'm not sure."

message 144: by Giulia (new)

Giulia ((Same here (: ))

Ander felt like she was about to use her powers and called out to her. 'If they take us both out of here, we might have a chance of escaping Avery...' He didn't want her to give up, but putting up a fight might hurt her and their opportunity later.

Dr. Herman then looking about with folded arms and a tapping foot. "Well, what's taking so long?" he demanded of his assistant. "Sir, they still have five minutes to arrive," the younger man insisted, trying to calm his excited leader. "Raleigh?"
"Here sir," Raleigh replied. "Whose that with you? The applicants?"
"Yes sir. Guidon and Tyler," Raleigh introduced, indicated to the two of them.

message 145: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) She heard her brother and while she didn't reply she stopped fighting. She didn't use her power and when they came closer to her she didn't try to put them back. Where do you think they're taking us? she asked him She had to concentrate on not fighting, instinctively wanting them away from her.

((There's a few not too far from where I live so hopefully I can work in one of those. ))

message 146: by Giulia (new)

Giulia ((What do those labs do?))

'If I remember well, they'd like to find out more about us...' he told her, watching as the men finally approached and latched onto her wrists, locking her into the handcuff. "Subject 1 subdued," the man alerted in his microphone. Dr. Herman heard it on his earpiece and nodded as he waited for the interns to make their way over to him. "Hurry up there," he ordered the two men. One took Avery from the cell and the other approached Ander's.

message 147: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((Um, I know one is pharmisticles, the others I'm not sure about. But in one of my classes last Friday we got to talk to two people who graduated from my college and are now either in grad school or industry. The one in industry has a coworker who went to this really big college in my state, but he has more experience with the instruments going to a small school than she did. which I think is weird since the big one is considered one of the best in the state.I even applied there but got put on the wait list.
Glad now.))

Avery looked around a bit. It was the first time she'd gotten to see much out here. After a quick glance around she looked at her brother's door, watching as the man went into his cell. She was nervous, not sure what to expect next and just hoping her and her brother could get out.

message 148: by Giulia (new)

Giulia ((I know what you mean! I go to a smaller school and you really do sense the difference, I go to use a lot of equipment one on one when others would have to share between two.))

Ander gave in without a fight, wanting to go where they were taking Avery. To his pleasure, he spotted his sister ahead as they moved through the white and claustrophobic corridors towards the testing room. All passers by steered clear of them and weren't afraid to stare. Ander saw the clothes they were wearing, the glasses they had, the machines they carried - it couldn't be further from what he was used to.

message 149: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) ((What school are you going to? When do you start?))

Avery gave her brother a half smile as she saw him, glad to see him but scared as to where they were going now. Looking at the people all around them it was all so strange.

When the two were led into where Tyler, Gideon and the rest were waiting, Tyler's eyes widened a bit as he saw them. He wasn't sure exactly what he'd been expecting.

message 150: by Giulia (new)

Giulia ((It's a traditional university in the north of England, freezing cold in summer and winter regardless haha. I'm flying over on the 25th so I won't be able to reply until I get to my hotel...I move in on the 30th.))

"They look normal," Guidon found himself saying perhaps a bit stupidly. Raleigh gave them a look and then departed for the upstairs walkway, leaving the applicants with Dr Herman who nodded approvingly. "Take them to the beds. Stop staring everyone," he commanded, knowing it'd stress out the subjects. Ander began to tense when he saw the whole laboratory staring down at them.
