Elizabeth and Giulia, sure let's do a third

'Avery, Avery they're coming our way. Directly, like they've seen us,' he told her, his mental voice even trembling as they hurried in their direction. He grabbed her arm and began to back away from their hiding spot, not caring if they made any more noise since they were spotted.

When they arrived at where the girl had fallen and the boy standing over her, another one of the men signaled to the others before he raised his tranqqulizer gun as well, firing a couple shots at the boy while they were still a little ways away.

"These are the two we need?" one asked through a fuzzy intercom.
"That's what the commander said. The pair that were messing with the electromagnetic signatures," the one in charge said, indicating they needed to be bound and transported back into the inside.
Luna was just eating her breakfast when a shrill bell rung through the dining hall, putting a pause to all eating activity.
"All students to the presentation hall, immediately," their usual voice announced, sending the younger children into a flurry of excitement. They had never been called for an urgent assembly before.

Tyler frowned a bit, wondering what all the excitement was about, but he was definitely curious too. He quickly threw the trash from his meal away as he went with the rest of the crowd to the presentation hall. The seat he ended up in happened to be right next to Luna. "Any idea what this might be about?" He muttered to her.

Luna found her way next to Tyler in the buzzing hall as they awaited an explanation for the summoning. "None at all, but I'm eager to know. It's probably either a moment of great celebration or great tragedy," she inputted.

The soldier mentally grumbled but got back on the hovercraft. Later him and the others could talk about just what these two could do.
Tyler nodded. "Maybe." He said. That would be a reason to gather them all here and of the ideas that had crossed his mind that was the only real explanation that made sense.

The hovercraft hurried back into the city, passing through the forcefield and landing in the cell block courtyard where the handover to the government authorities would occur. In charge was a woman with a sharp, elevated bob and steely gray eyes. She waited as they retrieved Avery and Ander, the small badge on her white shirt indicating she was a scientist with the CAGE.
The hall was hushed when their school master stepped up on the stage, lifting his hands for silence.
"Today is a momentous occasion in the history of the city. But I won't keep you. Listen carefully to this breaking news presentation." He stepped aside and the projection screen lowered. A news clip was placed on, with a woman reading the daily news - new vaccination laws, new ration tickets...

One of the soldiers came out, carrying a limp Avery. Both of them had been given another Sedative right before they landed so neither would wake up during the move. "Where do you want them for now Ma'am?" He asked, coming to a halt in front of the woman.
Blah, blah blah.... Tyler thought as all the normal news played. He didn't see how any of this would account for the breaking news. This wouldn't be enough to gather them all together. What was up?

"Cell T2098. And the other in T2099. Hurry now, I need to draft the statement for the president." The other men pulled Ander out and he was inspected as well. "Twins. I should have realised," she remarked before they carried him away as well. The CAGE would be very pleased indeed.
Suddenly, a breaking news headline crashed onto the main page, taking the woman by surprise.
"This just in - we're receiving news that an Outsider has been successfully captured and is on its way into the city! Yes, yes, an Outsider has been caught - no, two! Two outsiders!" The hall burst into gasps and began whispering to each other. Luna couldn't help but open her mouth in shock. They were almost myths to the children in the compound. "Outsiders..." she murmured, turning to Tyler.

Tyler's eyes widened. Outsiders? They were actually real? He glanced over at Luna. Okay. So maybe things weren't going to be as boring around the city. "This is.....it's unreal." He said quietly.

"This is..." she began, wondering how this happened. So many years they had avoided capture, what was different now? "They are currently being held for a two week quarantine. The president will release a statement shortly." The woman's news reading was fractured as she received scattered news in short bursts. At the end of the transmission, she had said nothing new and certainly nothing about what would happen to them after the quarantine.

Tyler had turned his head back to the screen when the woman began speaking again. This was sure to be on the TVs all the time, especily during the quarantine right? They'd be kept updated on this? He hoped so. It was the first interesting thing to happen in forever.

"What is the point of keeping an Outsider?" Luna wondered out loud. "What would we need with one? As a circus pony?" The hall was dismissed and they needed to return to their daily schedules. There was still a bit of time to talk before classes began.

Tyler shrugged. "Are the stories that they have abilities true? Maybe they want to test that and see?" He suggested. It was weird to think that there was not only one but two outsiders now in their city.

"I'd want to see that as well..." she murmured, thoughts going off to the pair. "But as usual, information will be filtered through by the compound. Who knows when will be the next time we hear anything?" As they spoke, the tutor of science came walking down the hall. He spotted the pair and diverted his path to join them.

"I'd be interested too." Tyler said straightening as one of the tutors, one of the ones he'd had for many of his classes came over. "Dr. Frece." He greeted.

"Luna, Tyler. You are both aspiring medical and science students, are you not?" Dr. Frece asked between the pair of them. "Yes, I think we both are," Luna replied. "Good, because I have an exciting short placement for talented students of your kind," he offered.

"Yes sir." Tyler nodded, interested to see what he had to say. Sometimes senior students got placements before they officially graduated, but it didn't happen all the time.

"Who with?" Luna questioned. "Several organisations are interested in the minds of our intelligent youth. I've got places in Medipharma, at Sun Medical, even at the Centre for Anomalous Genetic Engineering, known as CAGE to you young folks," he said excitedly.

At CAGE Tyler's eyes widened again. He'd dreamed of working for CAGE but only the best of the best were given positions there. Dr. Frece really thought they were good enough for CAGE? "I-If CAGE really is n option sir I'd love to try it."

"How many interns can you take?" Luna asked, her eyes widening as well at the opportunity. "Can we chose our place of employment?" Dr. Fece shook his head. "It's a max two person limit per possibility. I'm the one who has to shortlist your placements. Luna, I was thinking of putting you with the Medi Bureau and Tyler, CAGE was where I was planning to place you." Luna's smile fell. Medical administration?! That was impossibly boring!

Tyler grinned to hear he was being placed in Cage, but his face fell at Luna's expression. "Excuse me sir, but surley even CAGE needs medics for some things?" He said, trying to see if he might be able to get Luna there too. It didn't hurt to try.

"It'll be you and Guidon Vickers at CAGE Tyler, I've decided. They need lab assistants and after I told them your exemplary neurology skills, they wanted you immediately. As for your Luna, there is much to learn in the administration of medical documents. I have thought long and hard about this, and I must insist you trust me." Luna was thankful Tyler tried, seeing he was a favourite of Dr. Fece's, but her fate was sealed. "I still thank you for the opportunity."

Nothing. She said. Her head was also still too woozy to use her powers. Maybe after that she could try throwing the bed at the door? It ws big enough to be t the edge of her powers but she was going to try it. She was scared. not sure what to expect from the Insiders.

'Wait, wait, I'm getting something,' he told her, his vision flickering on like a light. 'Avery, I see you! You're across some corridor from me, in another room. Right opposite,' he exclaimed, hurrying to the door and banging on it again. 'I don't see anyone else.'

She went back up the door, banging on it too. What are we going to do? There were no guards right outside the doors but there were some posted at either end of the hall. They ignored the bangs, waiting for their superior to come examine the Outsiders.

'What are they going to do with us? Do we just have to wait?' Ander asked Avery, sliding down with his back against the door and his legs sprawled out before him. The bed seemed so hard and cold compared to the forest floor and their woollen pallets back outside.

I don't know...I guess? We're trapped. There's nothing we can do to get out of here. She slid down the wall as well. Her motions so similar to that of her twin. She was scared. She wanted to go home.

'Do they plan to feed us? Or is starvation a form of torture for our information?' he wondered darkly to her. 'We will say nothing,' he stated, half asking, half talking to himself.

We won't tell them anything. She wouldn't say anything to them at all if she didn't have to.

The woman returned with a man, her superior in an equally crisp suit and the CAGE badge on his pocket. The guards stood and saluted them into the prison cell block. 'Avery, I see people coming,' Ander reported, scrambling onto his feet.

"Thanks. You too." Tyler smiled at Guidon. He then frowned slightly as he heard about Evelyn. He didn't really like her. She'd always seemed to be rude and stuck up to him. He didn't really see how her personality fit the job she'd be doing, but her grades must be good.

"Great, I'm sure she's very happy about her position as well," Luna said, wondering if her luck could get any worse that day. Though, it was probably not good to hark more bad luck on herself with that thought. "You'll certainly be very popular in the dorms tonight," she remarked. "Everyone will want to hear about CAGE."

Avery quickly looked up, her heart pounding. She saw it. How can we get up there though? And where would it lead? Ander what can we do?
He winced in sympathy for who she would be working with. "Yeah...I wonder when we even start?" He looked at Guidon to see if he had any idea or if they'd find out later from Dr. Frece.

'Can you open it at least?' Ander wondered, hearing their voices. The man nodded and stopped between the doors.
"Which one is the girl?" he questioned and the woman pointed out Avery's door. They approached it and the woman slid aside a strip of the door to show a glass plane between their eyes and Avery.
"No idea. We'll get to know when we get there, won't we? I heard we start next week if everything goes well," Guidon said optimistically, putting his arm around Tyler's shoulders.

((Going to switch to app an probably head to bed soon. Will probably only reply to like one rp instead of all while on app. Probably this one ))

They gazed at her mildly. "She looks like a cornered animal," he remarked. "One can expect her to. We should see if she understands us," he commanded and the woman nodded with pursed lips. 'Avery,' Ander called, going back to the door to see with his vision. 'Be careful.'

She didn't reply that time, just biting her lip anxiously as she waited for them to finish and leave. Her and Ander could go back and get their deer and everything could go on as usual.
