Chapters 1-7: (view spoiler)[ I'm a bit disappointed with this so far because I'm 27% into the book and the whole Seer thing/explanation was only just introduced. I'm assuming that now that it's out in the open, the story can move along because I find it quite slow and boring right now. To be honest for a while I thought Luka was Thor but after that weird dream talking about Thor I guess he isn't. Is he supposed to be some sort of guardian for Kenna? Hopefully more stuff gets revealed soon because I'm pretty bored with it at the moment. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 8-13: (view spoiler)[ At this point I'm not really liking it. The writing is a bit confusing for me and I'm having to reread some parts to clarify what it said. Also, it seems like questions aren't being answered, and instead there are just more questions coming to light. This book is just leaving me confused more than anything and I'm not really a big fan of that. Also Kenna seems to be in some weird love triangle and I really dislike those. I'm hoping this stuff gets cleared up soon and things begin getting more interesting because I'm really not feeling it. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 14-19: (view spoiler)[ It's finally started to get more interesting. I pretty much expected that Fiske and Parker would be something other than human. As soon as it was confirmed Fiske was something I knew that Parker had to be something too. I mean, I don't think human friends would continue asking Kenna about her visions. I understand why Kenna is upset about everyone keeping the truth from her, but I hope she can overcome it to come up with a plan to find out what's going on with the Mara. I find Kenna and Luka's relationship kinda meh, because Luka pisses me off a bit. I hate that Kenna is leading Jason on when she was literally about the have sex with his friend like hours before. Swoon reads says that its '98,389 words (About 328 pages)' but 98,389 words is actually closer to 394 pages, so we'll use that.

Chapters 20-end: (view spoiler)[ I didn't like this book all that much. It got better over the last 25% but I still didn't find it great. The only books I've really read before about mythology were by Rick Riordan, and I find that this book didn't really compare. I'm quite biased, but I can't help comparing. I'm a bit disappointed that we never got to find out who Carissa was, but it's no question that it was another "incarnation" of her soul. We also have a lot of questions unanswered. Who did they piss off why they were cursed? Who cursed them? (hide spoiler)]
