Jared is remarkably different from the character we met in McKenna and Lucas' story. Your thoughts?

If my recall is anywhere near accurate, he's the most closed-off person we've seen as LCR operative. Of course, we have hints of his childhood at the book's beginning.

When we last saw him substantively, he was still married and seemed to have a more "happy-go-lucky" personality. I'm still waiting to find out why he changed so radically.

[Charlene]

Swiss cheese memory, once again. In which title did we see him married? I'll go back and skim his married story parts. I'm sure it will help later on as I'm reading the rest of the book.

He was in Last Chance. Remember, he lived in London with Lucas and was his lead investigator for Kane Industries? He was backing up Lucas when he went after Damon on his own. He's Lucas' best friend.

Do we have anything on Jared's divorce, then, or are we readers meant to be in the dark on this topic as we are reading early parts of book?
