I'm so so sorry guys. My week at camp...it was A LOT more hectic and intensive than I thought AND we had no internet (and no running water like showers...can I just say...it was a rough camp...lol)

but I'm back and I'll start catching up!

Finished Ch. 5

Very cute, light, fun read for me so far. Nothing earth shaking or deep, so a perfect summer read. LOL

Paris (view spoiler)[seems a bit boy crazy, but I'm glad that she dumped Toby for pressuring her into sex and that she stuck to her guns. So she isn't a pushover. (hide spoiler)]

Leo (view spoiler)[obviously is smart and has high aspirations. She seems to possibly be more level-headed than Paris. (hide spoiler)]

Max (view spoiler)[is a character. Smart, seemingly thoughtful and a puzzle solver. I think he might be insightful/helpful finding Paris. (hide spoiler)]

Tommy Davis (view spoiler)[doesn't impress me as a step-father, at least not yet. I don't think he'll get an award! (hide spoiler)]

The mystery of (view spoiler)[what happened to Paris is not scary to me at this point. For some reason I wonder if this was planned since she woke Leo up in the middle of the night and wanted to go specifically to one place for pie. She had time to write a note, so she isn't panicked. The only two clues are "He's making me" and the roulette wheel numbers. I don't think this is true foul play. This is kind of fun. (hide spoiler)]

I have no real predictions yet.

Finished Ch. 15

Although I didn't post it when I finished Ch. 10 since I was out to dinner, I was right about the one thing I was afraid of: (view spoiler)[Max knew Paris. It just seemed too "convenient" that this boy was so quickly ready to go to the extremes that he did for a "stranger." But also Paris was so exacting on where she had wanted to go and she ditched Leo shortly after "meeting" Max. The ONLY reason I could think of why Paris would do that though is to "push" Leo into building confidence. The other strong possibility is that their stepfather is molesting one of both of them. Tommy (view spoiler)[makes me sick! I don't like that he lightly rubbed Leo's arm when they were in Paris's bedroom. That whole scene was iffy and likely indicative that he is a pervert and is possibly molesting Leo and/or Paris.! (hide spoiler)]

Leo's mother (view spoiler)[is pretty darn disgusting! How could she NOT call the police or do something to really hunt for her own daughter. What kind of mother ignores a missing child! (hide spoiler)]

I still don't know what (view spoiler)["he's making me" meant in the first note. Did Max sort of make her do this so he could meet Leo? Did the stepfather "make" her because she just had to get away from him? (hide spoiler)]
