Joshua grinned, nodding enthusiastically. "I know right? It's so cool how they survived the way they did... such an adventure." He looked at the book she was holding out then, and read the title. "It sounds rather frightening... and I must say I haven't read it before." He blushed a little, glancing shyly at her. "Do you think... maybe I could borrow it?" he asked, nervous about this, but if she recommended it... then he would like to read it.
Ven turned again when she caught his cloak and a bit of him let out a received sigh at the knowledge that she was not offended. "I am very sorry, Aria... can we forget I said anything?" he asked, still blushing and quite awkward after such a huge blunder as she helped him change out of the robes. He watched her, totally at ease, even though he was half dressed, as she folded the robes. "You make that look so easy... I can never get them to look that nice all folded." He shook his head, amazed.
Flint was a little disheartened that he could only manage such a light squeeze, but it made her so happy that he couldn't help but smile a little bit, hope returning to his gaze. When she pointed out how exposed he was, he swallowed, feeling immediately awkward about it, but her smile was kind, and he nodded slowly. "Pants would be good." Problem with that was that he could not dress himself. This would be awkward, to say the least, but he didn't want to rope her into caring for him if she was not up for it. "If that's not too much trouble...?"
April nodded at his decision, immediately getting down to work mode, as she gathered the supplies, and lay out a blanket, guiding Mani to sit on it by the fire. "Sit still." She insisted, giving him a look as she poured a capful from the little bottle. "This should take care of the pain." She promised. "You don't look horrific... but you're right, I think getting these out will help." She picked up the knife and a small pair of tweezers and sat in front of him. "I can deal with pulling stitches out of your face. But any one else's and it get's too strange... so I'll just be your nurse. Are you ready?" She asked, bracing herself as well.
Reece didn't want to leave. The last thing he wanted to do was leave, when his whole life could be slipping away behind a closed door. But he didn't have a choice as the doctor came in and immediately started preparing Abby, checking vitals, and the progress of the child. Ella looked pretty worse for the wear, tears brimming in her eyes as she clutched her sister's hand.
"Its good you called me in this early." Freddie said, pulling out a knife, and a needle. "She doesn't have the strength to go through labour. As it is, it might be too late. But I'll do my best." he promised. "Goodnight for now, Abigail." he said gently, injecting her with the sedative as he started to preform a C section.
Ella couldn't handle it, she was shaking all over and she had to stumble away to find a place to throw up. Her sister was being cut open, and dying, and so pale...

Ariella laughed softly "I don't know what you are talking about Ven." she winked and glanced at the folded clothes "When I am your wife none of your clothes will be crumpled in a pile as they are now! Goodness your mother is a wonderful lady she must have taught you better!" she laughed and pecked his nose "I still love you...now grab your coat we are going to the cliffs."
Camilla grabbed his trousers and shifted him so he was sitting up and leaning against her "You've seen all of my valuables...might as well see yours." she teased and helped him slip his pants on and get him laid back into bed. She cleaned up his chest and face "Is that alright?" she kissed his forehead and stroke his jaw "You'll be strong again...I promise."
Mani took the drug and winced at the bitterness "I'm ready...please be careful ok?" he felt dizzy and leaned back as she prepared "I get a kiss after this yes?" he smirked and then straightened his face so he wouldn't make it difficult for her. "I saw Flint...hes awake, its miraculous...Ira's mercy."
Donavon came back and found his love, he held her tightly as she cried "It'll be ok,...the doctor knows her health better then any of us...he'll keep her safe. This is a happy occassion. You'll soon have a nephew and he'll be dear friends with ours..."
Abigail dosed off after he started cutting, she couldn't cry out as she felt the slice and then went unconscious limp as the child was taken from her.

Ven smiled, glad she could be so lighthearted about this, and he immediately relaxed again, happy that she had forgiven his mistake. Her words made him fill with pride and hope and he grinned, grabbing his coat and sliding his arms into it. "She is a wonderful lady, but even the best teacher couldn't teach me how to fold. It's honestly impossible." He insisted, following her own of the tent and towards the cliffs. "Why are we going here?" he asked, curious.
Flint felt like such an invalid, but he couldn't do much more than lean on her weakly as she helps him get his trousers on, and then continued to clean him up and get him tucked in again. "I feel so useless." he said softly, wincing as he tried to grow comfortable in the furs and blankets. Males were supposed to be the protectors. And he was here in bed unable to do more than close his hand.
Jen helped ease him back and she nodded in a silent promise. "I'll be careful." She promised, gently bracing her hand against his forehead as she got started. "And yes, you definitely get a kiss." she promise, her face heating as she remembered their first kiss in that weaving tent, when he had made her dizzy from the sensations. "It's good to hear about Flint, though. Poor Camilla was so worried." she said, talking no more about the kiss as she slid the knife under the first stitch, cut it, and then took the tweezers and slowly slid the thread from his skin.
Ella couldn't help how hard she was shaking, and even though she could feel their child churning and cramping her stomach, upset because she was upset, she couldn't stop the flow of tears as she clutched Donavon, clearly frightened. "I'm so scared... so scared I'll lose her... I've tried so hard... to protect her...." She sobbed. "This is my fault... this whole thing with the child..."
Freddie was quick and efficient, sliding the healthy little baby boy out and giving him to a nurse to clean up and take care of. He had his father's eyes, and his mother's dimples, and was squalling already. Freddie carefully closed the wound, and then bound it up, administering some medication and checking on her heart. "I've done all I can." he said softly. "Now it is up to her."

Ariella smiled and tugged him up higher as they lay on the blankets she had brought and looked up at the endless sky "this..." She said reverently and took his hand "I love looking up at the stars away from the rest of the camp and world, I wanted you to be part of my happy place...there's a hot spring we can swim in as well if you'd wish...but just look at all of them...doesn't it make you feel lost?"
Mani winced but held still as the knife slit the thread and then an annoying tugging sensation as it was pulled out. He let out a breath watching her move down his face. Wince...tug over and over until she was an his collarbone and finally done. He flexed his face finding it more mobile and grinned "well? How does it look?"
Camilla hated watching him be so down on himself and feel so useless. She smooth his hand over her face "don't you understand?...you are what is keeping me alive...hundreds of people are praying for you and Ira heard them because of the difference you make...you save lives and now we get to save yours."
The nurse handed his wrapped up son to Reece and smiled "he's a very healthy handsome little boy...won't stop squalling..." She said amused and showed him how to hold him properly "mind his head..."she

Ven followed her up the rocks to the cliffs and then lay back with her on the blanket, staring up at the cloudless sky. There were thousands upon thousands of stars... and all appearing close enough to reach out and touch. Ven was humbled into silence for once in his life and he just stared. "No... not lost... just... small." He whispered, shaking his head in reverence. "This is so beautiful..." He couldn't believe how many stars there were, and so close together, where most people missed them.
Jennifer tried to work quickly and efficiently, so he wouldn't be uncomfortable for too long. And not to mention that it was hard and tedious work to keep this up, maneuvering the knife carefully, grasping the thread, and then tugging. But once all the stitches were out, she huffed a sigh of relief and sat back, putting the tools on the table. His face looked nearly normal now... besides for the brutal scar. And while it was intimidating... it was no longer gruesome. She beamed. "Much better." she said, cupping his face and kissing him deeply. "And there's your kiss..."
Flint closed his eyes and drank in her words like he was a parched man and they were water. "You sure know how to make me feel better." He opened his eyes again and looked at her, searching her features. How could so many people love him so much... and how could such a perfect woman love him so much? "I still do not feel I deserve any of this... but thank you. Thank you ever so much for it none the less." He gave her a hesitant smile. "Are you sure I'm not going to be too much work?"
Reece peered down at the healthy little baby boy and his face lit up in pure joy as he rocked and bounced the child to get him to stop squalling and calm. "Hello there..." he said, carefully holding his first born son, supporting his head. "Welcome to the world, little man. I'm your father." he whispered, his eyes shining. This was their child, this was a child that had been made by him and his love...

Ariella smiled watching his face, this was one of the reasons she loved him. He was present and could enjoy the beauty in the simple majestic world. She took his hand and snuggled up to him "do you ever think people are watching us from up there or controlling our fate?" She whispered not wanting to blemish the moment of peace and serenity.
Mani cupped her face and deepened the kiss adding his tongue carefully as he laid her on the furs running his hand over her side and stomach. Adrenaline and passion were not a good mix when you were shirtless with the one you loved. He pulled back slowly brushing her hair back "it gets harder everyday...being around you..."
Camilla scowled "not at all! I like caring for you and others and you are the one I am meant to be with...I will get you strong so that you may heal and protect me as you so desire..." She kissed him softly never really being this bold before and nipped on his bottom lip "I love you so much Flint..."
The boy looked up with his hazel eyes mirroring his father's and pay his cheek softly and gave a baby smile as if knowing exactly who he was. The nurse loved watching that bonding moment "have you come up with a name?"

Ven looked up at the stars and thought. He wasn't sure what he believed in regards to that. "Sometimes I do wonder." He agreed. "And I like to think that our passed loved ones still exist in this world in some small way... but I can never tell." He shrugged lightly, his eyes still on the stars, watching the swirling night sky. And then he looked over at her. "They're beautiful none the less." he said softly, thinking to himself, not about the stars' beauty, but of that in front of him.
Jennifer soon remembered how quickly he could make her forget the world and everything in it as he eased her back and kissed her deeply. She was breathing a little heavier as her eyes drifted up his chest and to his face. It was so handsome and fearfully beautiful to look at. She smiled shyly, her heart pounding. "I hate to be a burden..." She teased quietly, her eyes locked on his. She let the silence stretch for a moment, before adding. "How on earth did you ever get to be such a good kisser?"
Flint nodded, his eyes closing again as he was finally at peace. He could deal with that, her caring for him for a while, as she was not burdened by it at all, and then he could continue to care for her again. "very well. I suppose I can deal with this then." he said softly, capturing her lips again as best as he could before she lifted her head. "If you insist on it." he smiled. "I love you too."
Reece hadn't thought of a name... hadn't even thought to discuss it with Abby in the short time he'd been home. So he looked at their son and said the first name that came to mind, looking at the little baby in his arms. "Theodore." He said quietly, looking up at the nurse. "Abby will want to see little baby Theo... can you let me in to see her now?"

Ariella smiled over at him as she noticed him watching her "do you miss your dad?" He didn't talk about it and since they were discussing departed loved ones she kind of wanted to know his thoughts and feelings. She wanted them to both be honest and deep with eachother.
Mani flushed embarrased the tips of his ears turning pink as she bit her lip "well...I uh...I uh practiced...whenever...I had time to myself...I didn't want to have our first kiss be awful...I wanted to be the one in charge and control...helping you through it...and I asked my dad a bunch of questions till he basically told me to shut up."
Camilla nudged her nose against his as she slowly pulled him to his feet having him lean on her as they took baby steps, she had to get him started or he would never improve his muscles needed to remember how to work and know that he was going to get stronger "that's it...slowly...I've got you don't put all of your weight on me..."
The nurse smiled approving of the name "handsome name for a handsome child..." She bit her lip thinking about Abigail "sir I suggest you don't...she's...she hasn't woken up...the doctor is still monitoring her."

Ven chewed his lip, and then looked back up at the stars. "Yes..." He said softly. "Yes I do. But... he's sort of like a childhood memory because I haven't seen him in so long." He admitted. "I worry most that i'll forget him... and what he taught me." He closed his eyes and sighed softly, tensing. "That's what scares me..." He sighed, his hands clenching and unclenching as he tried to work through his emotions.
Jennifer blushed as well, watching as he turned more and more red, stuttering to try and come up with explanations. She shook her head, finding it incredibly cute and sweet. "You're just the most adorable thing ever." She whispered, pulling his head back down again so she could kiss his cheek. "I love you. Very very much." Her smile stretched wider. "And no, I won't tell anyone that you practiced kissing." she promised, winking at him.
Flint nearly toppled over when she helped him straighten and get up on his feet. He would have fallen over if she had not been supporting him. Goodness, he was too weak to even walk, and it was humiliating to try to take trembling steps one at a time. "Sorry." He mumbled, trying to take more weight off of her as he took another step, his entire body tense with concentration. "This is suddenly... so hard...."
Reece's face drained of colour and he gently passed Theodore over to the nurse. "Why was I not told? That is more of reason to see her." He stood, intent on seeing his wife, regardless of the laws or rules. "She is my love and my life and I am going to be with her." He said firmly, pushing into the bedroom.
Ella was not doing well, every moment that passed by that her sister didn't awake only made her more nervous and more stressed, and her stomach was cramping something terrible.

Ariella took his hand releasing the tension as she brought his hand to her lips "you won't forget him...as I won't forget my mum...I miss her too...and I bet they are in the same place watching over us...proud of who we have become...you are an Elder...and a strong warrior...the love of my life..."
Mani flushed again and grinned "you know I think I want to practice some more..." He kissed her softly exploring the different parts of her body and kissing them till he felt that desire again and he knew he wanted more. He wanted her and wabted to kiss every part.
Abby was unconscious, Fedsie near her side keeping track of her vitals and progress. She was pale lips blue and the slowest rise and fall of her chest.
Donavon got her to bed getting another physician to check on the baby "you need to relax or you will lose this baby."

Ven slowly relaxed as she held his hand in hers, and he closed his eyes, focusing on the feeling of her lips on his knuckles. "I hope I never forget him." He whispered, looking away and up at the stars again. Oh what he wouldn't give to know that his father was proud, and looking down on him right now. "I really really hope you are right." He whispered, his eyes growing misty. "I love you too."
Jennifer felt the heat seep from her cheeks all the way down to the tip of her toes, and it warmed her up and made her shift under his kissing. He was being awfully bold, but they were allowed to, and nothing was stopping them. They were to be married, after all. Jennifer closed her eyes, shuddering. She knew she had to stop this now, if they were going to stop at all. "Mani... you're injured..." She reminded quietly, even though deep down she was reluctant to tell him to stop.
Reece was immediately at Abby's side, taking her hand into both of his and laying his forehead beside her on the bed. "My love..." He whispered, the sound anguished. "come back to me my love... I need you." He swallowed. "I need you to go on living... don't leave me here alone in a world I hardly remember.... don't leave me..." Tears spilled from his eyes and his shoulders shook as he lowered his forehead beside her.
Ella clutched her stomach with both hands, rocking back and forth, barely containing the wracking sobs that were trying to escape her. Her sister was lying in bed unconscious, cold and weak and looking dead, and she was stuck here, with her child viciously stabbing her abdomen and her husband telling her very matter of factly to calm down. "I can't..." She gasped, shaking her head over and over and biting down so hard on her lip that it bled.

Ariella tugged him back to her and just held onto him letting him experience the emotion of it "Camilla is a 6 sense...I'm sure she would be able to have you two talk? She does it with my mom all the time...and I read auras and yours is so dark...for such a long time..." She ran her fingers through his hair "I want to help..."
Camilla through weeks of patience and work was walking hand and hand with Flint out of the medical tent. He would be rejoining the clan now and she couldn't be more excited for him. She handed him his walking stick carved with excellent hand by Habi "you ready?"
Mani groaned burying his face into her stonach "don't give that excuse...if you aren't ready tell me...but I'm fine...the stitches are gone and I feel no pain..." He whispered kissing lower he couldn't control himself, he wouldn't he wanted her desperately and it was legal. He ran his hand up her leg "but it's up to you..."
Hours went by until Abby stirred, she opened her eyes slowly and moaned feeling like she had been ripped open "Ella...it hurts..." She whispered still thinking she was going to give birth and her sister was there.
The physician got her anxiety pills and soothed her stomach as he examined her trying to get the baby shifted and in a more safe position for both of them. Finally he had to resort to do it manually "deep breaths Ella this may be unconfortable but it'll help..."

A six sense? It was very temping, he had to admit. He wanted to speak with his father, gain advice. But would calling on him be appreciated? Spirits deserved their rest, or that was what he believed. "I might." He said softly. He rolled onto his side and looked at her, a soft smile tugging at his lips. "I'm honoured that you worry about me though." He reached over and squeezed her hand. "I've just... Had a hard time discovering who I am." He shrugged. "Especially without my father to guide me."
Flint had worked very very hard, many long hours and gruelling sessions to try and regain his strength. He wasn't strong yet, but he was functioning much better, and with the cane, he could walk on his own. "I'm just worried I'll fall flat on my face." He muttered, trying his best to look bold and strong as he stood beside her. "That still happens sometimes, you know."
Jennifer blushed and closed her eyes, heat coursing up and down her. There was something wonderful about knowing that he wanted her, hearing how desperate he was to have her. Already he was making her melt through his well practiced kissing. "I...." What she said now would greatly change the next few minutes, she knew that. But was she ready? "I'll not make any more excuses." She agreed softly. "And I am a bit frightened. But I love you. And I trust you." She ran her fingers through his hair. "And I want you too."
Reece had been resting by her, having a killer headache after so many hours of stress. But it was hardly worth worrying about when she said something, actually spoke. He gasped in relief and surprise, kissing her hand over and over. "Oh love... I was so worried. I was so scared.... I thought..." His voice cracked.
Ella had tears running down her face, tears of pain and tears of worry. Where was her sister now? Would Donavon always be so distant even though he still loved her? She took the pills and clutched her stomach, feeling very alone as the doctor warned her that this would not be fun. She just nodded and kept her eyes closed, feeling numb and tired and weak. Probably thanks to the pills, partially.

Ariella nodded "I can understand that...I don't have a mother to teach me everything I need to know...that's why Maria kind of adopted me...she teaches me and takes care of me...gave me advice about being in love with you." She pecked his lips nuzzling her nose against his "I think you should talk to him...it'll make you feel better..."
Camilla laughed softly shaking her head "I won't let you...you know that." She led him to the center of the camp and smiled as Habi explained that he had made a good recovery and will be joining the camp again able to do enough to be useful to the people.
Rachelle was feeling ill sharp pains were coursing her body she was picking berries in the forest for the desert and collasped her stomach aching in pain. She was far away from camp and knew no one would hear her...she was going to be birthing this baby herself...she slowly made a bed of soft leaves and laid down naked as she let nature run its course.
Abby winced at the loud voice and shook her head "quietly..." She whispered still having a coursing headache and the pain in her abdomen she just wanted to sleep but Freddie was poking at her and Reece was crying in her hair.
The maid came in smiling "your sister is awake your highness...she's speaking and moving. Freddie believes she will be fine..."

He nodded, knowing it could be benifitial. "I might." He agreed. His smile turned devious and he moved to lay his head in her lap, still looking up at the stars. "You had to ask advice about me? Pray tell... What was troubling you?" He asked, partially teasing, and partially curious. He thought it sweet that she asked questions in all honesty.
Flint smiled, knowing too that she wouldn't let him fall, and he trusted her as he stood there,, trying to stay steady while Habi spoke to the camp on his behalf. Whenever one cheered and congratulated him, Flint managed a small bow and then relaxed. "Well that wasn't too bad." He smiled at Habi then. "Thank you for making the announcement, and for finding the cure." He said seriously, grateful to be alive. "I'd thank Rachelle but I haven't seen her. Can you pass along my thanks?" He squeezed Camillas hand.
Reece immediately whispered a sorry, truly hating that he had hurt her through speaking loudly. It was horrid and painful knowledge. "I'm sorry my violet." He whispered, holding her hand. "Can I get you anything?"
Even though the doctor was still in the middle of his work, Ella's face immediately brightened and she visibly relaxed on the bed. "Good." She whispered, closing her eyes as she was suddenly so tired. "Let her know I'll visit as soon as I am able, please." She asked, looking over then at Donavon who was still just watching. "I am sorry, Donavon, for compromising the safety of your child." She whispered, meaning it. She knew that was why he had been most worried.

Ariella shook her head and laughed lightly "none of your business mister..." She starved his face loving how rugged and handsome he was. She leaned down pressing her lips on his "I think it was a successful first date...don't you?...it's getting late..."
Camilla frowned looking around "I haven't seen her either, she's not in the tents...or in the crowd..." She knew that the baby was coming at any time and she should be resting. She was an apprentice nurse helping Habi, she found the medical world so thrilling and fascinating.
Rachelle was panting and pushing as she was leaned against a log. She cried out digging her hands in the dirt just trying to distract herself from the pain. The forest was calm and she could feel the eyes of different creatures watching her as if they were expecting this.
Abby nuzzled up closer to him "the baby...where's our son? Is he alright?..." She whispered starting to get more coherent and remembering. She tried to sit up but abdoman stretched and she cried out laying back down.
Donavon watched her shocked "I've been scared to death about you...I care not for the baby if it hurts you...I just...couldn't do anything to help...and that hurts me...that I couldn't save you from the pain..."

Ven pouted, looking up at her. He was curious to know. "Girl stuff, huh?" He shook his head, nuzzling his face against her stomach. "I think our first date as a success too." he agreed, as he had enjoyed it, and they had grown closer. It was quite the experience. "Yes... it is." he was reluctant to head back, but he also knew they couldn't stay up all night. "Are you ready to head back?" he asked, opening one eye to look up at her.
Flint grew worried at that comment for Rachelle. Wasn't she nine months pregnant? Was it wise for her to be off somewhere on her own? He was proud of his girl, though, for her aspirations, and work in the denial world, especially since it was his passion as well.
Habi frowned when he understood what the two meant. Rachelle hadn't been seen. She was somewhere alone... pregnant... possibly in a bad situation. A million different horrific images entered his mind and his face drained of colour. "If you excuse me... I'm going to go find her." He said softly, bowing to them both before going to search the tents, the camp, and the surrounding forest.
Reece nodded, running his hand gently through her hair to try and calm and reassure her as she slowly came back to. "Yes. I named him Theodore and he is one smily little child. He's with the wet nurse." He promised, not wanting her to worry. "Just rest, ok? They had to preform a C-section, so you have a wound that needs healing." he said gently.
Ella had been expecting a multitude of replies, but not that one. And for a moment she just stared at him, not sure what to say. He had been worrying about her? The impression she had gotten was that he no longer cared for her beyond the child she was carrying and his duty to her as her husband. She was clearly surprised by his response, and she wasn't quite sure what to say. "Oh." was all she managed, and then she looked down. "I'm feeling better now." She said softly.

Luke nodded as he got up knowing the girl was due to arrive at any time. She was foreign from what he heard and well he was a prefect so it was his job to show her around...he waited at the train station for her feeling ridiculous in his school uniform. He rolled up the sleeves and messed up his hair trying to look more...rugged.
Gracie smiled up at him sitting on the swing as they were meeting for the first time at their space "so...what do you think of the book so far? Isn't it awfully exciting?" He was up in the tree his legs dangling in front of her.
Ariella shoon her head "I brought our pads and blankets...we are sleeping out here tonight...it's still part of our date." She rolled out the pads and furs changing into her slip and laying down smiling at him "just so you know...I considered...well...I considered having...relations up here...but I'm not ready yet so you weren't the only one thinking it..."
Rachelle gasped throwing her head back as she felt the baby emerge and felt her between her legs. She gathered her up trying to keep her warm as she wasn't crying but she seemed to be doing alright. The animals slowly approached gathering around Rachelle keeping her warm and cleaning the child licking off the blood. She knew this was not normal at all.
Abby smiled softly "Theodore...little Theo..." She said considering the name and finding that she liked it "a cesarean...I didn't think that woman survived after those..." She felt surprisingly proud that she did.
Donavon sighed in relief and squeezed her hand kissing her "thank goodness..." The doctor was finished and smiled "got a small but strong girl your majesty...I suggest low stress situations and bed rest..."

Cecile was French. She spoke some English, but what she could speak was accented, and already she had gotten strange looks from the kids on the train, even though most were younger than her. So she kept to herself until they arrived and she got off, looking around in awe at the city. She wasn't entirely sure where she should be going, or who she should be looking for, and suddenly felt very lost.
Joshua hadn't been able to put the book down, and had only paused reading just now to meet with her, and for his classes. "It is! I can't decide whether the phantom is good or not... I know he's a man... but still. It's so spooky, the things he can do!" he shook his head. "And all the theatrics. I like reading about theatre, as I've been to the stage so many times with April and my brother."
Ven felt guilty for being so relieved that they could be up here longer... but it was so lovely, and it was nice to spend some time with her alone, away from everyone else and the world for a bit. He smiled a little wider at her confession and sat up, brushing his lips against hers. "Makes me feel less like a fool." he lay down beside her and relaxed. "I can wait for whenever you are ready." he promised.
It took Habi a good long while to come to the spot in the forest where his wife was, and when he did, he stopped in his tracks. All manner of animals were surrounding her laying there in the leaves, and she was holding a baby... their child. "Rachelle." he said, walking over hesitantly. "What has happened? Why are these animals here?" he eyed the bear waiting quietly and sank down beside his wife, beaming at their child. "Oh... she's beautiful."
Reece nodded in agreement. "You are a very strong woman." he agreed, kissing her cheek. "And wonderfully brave. I'm glad you approve of the name. It was the first one that came to mind when I saw our child." He explained. "I love you, Abigail. And I'm so proud of you."
He truly did seem to be thankful that she was alright. And again, she was surprised. She nodded, and then turned to the doctor, her heart sinking. A girl. Donavon would not get his heir, and she would be stuck in bed bearing a child that could not regain her his love. She closed her eyes, her body tense with the news. "Thank you doctor." She simply said.

Luke bowed and smiled before her "bonjour madam, I am Luke I'll be taking you to the school and showing you around." He took her baggage and smiled, she was lovely and so shy he could already tell. But he did know some French and that seemed to relieve her. He helped her into the carriage "it's just a few miles from here you will find it very nice I am sure...and your room mate is actually my room mates...girl? She's very nice and I'm sure you'll get along. She's not catty or rude like other girls."
Gracie smiled interested "I would love to act and sing on a stage but I have awful stage fright! I wow every vouce teacher and acting coach but the minute I step into that large stage I am so frightened!"
Ariella sighed in relief glad he wouldn't make fun of her for it "I'm sure it'll be much different...but it's still oh so frightening...it could end up with a child!" She said voicing her fear as she kissed him "I love you but...not yet.." She pulled the furs around her snuggling on his chest "how are your friends doing?"
Rachelle smiled "they...I don't know how to describe it but they took care of her...they bit off the umbilical cord and cleaned her...it's as if they know she is someone special." She whispered grateful her husband was here now. "They have been keeping us both warm..."
Abby smiled softly "I love you more...I heard you...and I was going to leave but not when it hurt you so badly...I have one more chance on earth they said...and I'm going to make the most of it...which one of us does he look like?"
Donavon was beaming though not at all put off by the sex. He kissed her forehead "won't it be wonderful to have a little princess? And Theodore can be the heir...it's fine. I just need you not to stress alright?" He squeezed her hand bringing it to his lips "I love you forever..."

Cecile startled when someone spoke to her, but when she saw he was from the school, she relaxed a bit, wondering if it was so obvious that she was foreign, and a new student. "Thank you, Monsieur Luke." She said quietly, following behind him. "My name is Cecile." she said in French, relaxing a bit when she learned he spoke some of her native tongue. She sat quietly in the carriage as they started to roll, watching the English scenery pass. "I do hope we get along." She said, worried about meeting her roommate. She looked at Luke shyly. "I am sorry... if I say something strange... I am not yet used to English customs." She admitted in broken English.
Joshua grinned, shaking his head as he leaned back against the truck on the old elm, closing his eyes. "When I go back for a weekend sometime... you should come with me. I'm sure my brother could light up the stage for just us... and you could act and sing to your heart's content, with no audience to stare at you." He promised. "Would you like that? I know I'd love to hear you sing..."
Ven nodded in understanding. It was very hard to wait, but he'd rather wait and have her happy, than the alternative, and lose her. He just wanted her happy. He understood why a female may feel trepidation, however. "I understand completely." he assured, reaching over to squeeze her hand. "Flint is still on the mend, but doing much better... and Mani has proposed to Jennifer." he said honestly. "They're all very happy. Just as I am."
Habi was a little worried about all this strange animal behaviour, and what on earth it could mean, not to mention that his wife had given birth out in the forest, in the leaves, and that could have serious health risks, as far as infection went. "Well I'm glad I found you... let's get you both back to camp." he said gently. "Can you stand?" he asked, bracing himself to help her up, carry her if she needed it.
Reece's smile turned sad and he nodded. "I was very very afraid. You're all that's left of my past, and the only thing I see in my future... I couldn't lose you." he whispered. "I am very glad you came back." he brought her knuckles to his lips and kissed them. "Theodore has your eyes, thank goodness, and I think he's got my nose... but he's still all round and rolly polly, so it's hard to tell." he smiled.
Ella, for the third time that evening, was shocked. He was not angry that it was to be a girl? She looked at him as he sat by her and kissed her forehead, a genuine smile on his features as he just tossed his kingdom to her sister's child. And then he said he loved her, and Ella tensed, looking at him in pained hope. "Do you mean that?" she asked softly, frightened of the answer. She looked so scared.

Gracie flushed "I couldn't if you were listening Josh...id get so nervous...want to sound lovely for you..." She admitted tucking her legs up to her chest "I love the gesture though it's very kind...now, what do you think of Raul and Christine?" She asked bringing the subject back to the book since that's what she felt comfortable talking about. She could talk about books for hours and hours.
Ariella beamed "he proposed? How wonderful! I'm glad for them both...they've loved eachother forever...I do get...antsy when I see his face...it's like a demons..." She whispered hating that she thought that way "but I still know it's Mani..." She tried to assure.
Rachelle shook her head "I can't...it hurts." She admitted as she wrapped her naked body with his overcoat protecting the child. The animals were still watching her closely "I don't understand...maybe Thomas can find something in the scrolls..."
Abby laughed softly thinking of it "I wish I could see..I won't hold him but I just want to see him...he's been with me for so long I feel empty inside...will you get him Reece please? I just want to see him." She knew she didn't have enough strength to hold him but she could hold his hand and watch him...get to know him...
Donavon nodded "I could never stop...I've loved you forever and we promised eachother it would be nothing but the truth from now on and I trust you...we are having a baby...how could I not be thrilled about that? I've always wanted a girl! That I could spoil and sore upon...much like my not so little anymore sister."

Joshua blushed then too, and he fidgeted, looking down at her from his spot in the tree. "I'm sure you would sound lovely whether you tried or not." he assured softly. "But if it makes you feel better, I don't have to be there." He offered, swinging down finally to stand beside her swing. He did not miss how she changed the topic, but he didn't bring it back up again either. "I think he is a good man... and that she is rather foolish to be chasing after another man who clearly has a broken past... but I can see the excitement in it, and how one might get swept away." he admitted honestly.
Ven nodded, his smiled genuine, for he was happy for his friend as well, and the whole camp had known that it would only be a matter of time. Then his smile wavered and he sighed. He could still remember all the blood around Mani after he had gotten hurt. "It is gruesome. I feel bad for the guy." He shook his head. "But he's happy, and Jennifer still loves him, so honestly, I think we can count them as lucky." he pecked her cheek, smiling once more.
Habi nodded, sitting beside her. He didn't like being out here in the forest with his wife and newborn, but they didn't have much of another option at the moment. "I'll talk to Thomas when we get you back to camp." he agreed softly, wrapping his arm around her. "But I am not leaving you. Not ever again. You don't know how nervous I was... so scared when I couldn't find you." he whispered.
Reece nodded, not about to keep any mother from her child. "Of course love." he kissed her nose gently and stood, going to find the nurse and retrieve little sleeping Theo from her. "Here's your son." he whispered to Abigail, lowering him to be near his mother so she could see and touch him, without straining herself too much. "Isn't he just perfect?"
Ella, without meaning too, felt a hot stinging rising in her eyes, and she blinked rapidly, trying to chase away the tears, but they wouldn't go. They welled up and spilled over and she shut them tight just as a soft sob escaped. He loved her. He loved her and their female daughter, and she was speechless. She just clung to him and cried quietly. "Thank goodness." she whispered.

Gracie smiled as he sat by her and leaned her head on his shoulder and laced their fingers together "I find Eric tragic and romantic...I think that he just wants love and connection but he is so twisted he will try anything to get it...and Raul is a bit of a sap...I like unpredictable guys in books..."
Ariella nodded "I believe everyone that is in love is lucky...I am the luckiest girl to be with you, I wake up everyday happy and ready because of love. It's a super power...it energizes and drives you...I hope everyone gets to find their soul mate...there wouldn't be wars or fighting...just love." She giggled "I'm sounding rather silly aren't I? You know there will be many pregnant girls now...and then children in the spring..."
Rachelle nuzzled his chest and sighed tiredly "I was trying to pick berries...for your favorite desert...after all it's our anniversary...but the pain came and I couldn't leave nor call out for help...it wasn't awful but it's wasn't pleasant...then they all came one by one as if paying respects to the baby...she needs a name..."
Abby gasped in joy and caressed the child's hand and foot "oh he's so perfect...hello littke Theo it's mummy...do you remember me?" Tears were streaming down her face as she was just so happy "he's ours..."
Donavon pulled her close and just held her letting her cry "I would never leave you...you are my life...I was going to refuse the crown to be with you...why would I ever do something to break our eternal bond..."

Joshua laughed easily then, finding it so wonderfully enjoyable to talk with her. He found it amusing as well, that she was so enamoured by the phantom. "He is rather unpredictable, isn't he?" he agreed, sitting on the swing beside her. "But what's wrong with sappy guys? I think we have a shortage of romantics in this world." he winked at her, knowing that he fell under the classification of 'sappy'.
Ven listened to her, thinking she could be a poet if she tried to be. She was so lyrical with words, even if it was kinda sappy and cliche. It still sounded like music coming from her lips. "Cliche's are there for a reason..." he pointed out, tapping her nose as he grinned. "And yes, there will be quite a few spring babies." he chuckled. "Are you feeling left out?" He teased.
Habi smiled lightly, running his fingers through her slightly damp hair. "You're too thoughtful... and to risk that much so close to delivery." He buried his face in her neck. "You're so brave." he mumbled, wrapping her up in his arms. "Something special, for our special little girl. I like Hadassah... but... it's not really that exciting."
Theo opened one eye and then the other, his face breaking out into a huge smile as he gurgled a happy baby laugh and wiggled, clearly happy to see his mother. Reece chuckled. "He definitely remembers you..." he pointed out. "And yes. He's ours. One hundred percent ours. Cute little bundle, isn't he?"
Ella cried away her worries and her sorrows, until she was just curled against Donavon, her eyes closed, breathing in slowly, trying to hold onto the moment. "I don't deserve you." She whispered finally. She knew her heart was cracking, and mending, returning again into the whole it once was.

Gracie smiled and started to push the swing as they were both sitting on it "I think you have a lot more...Eric in you then you think...you are bold and steadfast...strong and fight for the week. Thankfully you aren't psychotic!" She lay her head on his shoulder "I can't wait for the ball tonight wgere we can be open about our...relationship...I picked out my dress...I feel pretty in it."
Ariella made a face "certainly not! Pushing a 8 pound thing out of me?! No thank you! I watched enough births to know it's painful and humiliating and you poo while doing it! Just there in front of the mid wife!"
Rachelle was started to feel dizzy and nodded not really hearing him. Her touch was feverish and her arms weakening under the babies weight. A wolf aptly grabbed the baby before she fell as Rachelle passed out in his arms. She laid the bundle near her father and backed away as she was protective of her pups.
Abby felt tears in her eyes as the baby reacted and smiled just for her. She wanted to hold him so badly but she could hardly lift her arm to stroke his cheek "he's perfect...the sweetest child I have ever seen...I adore him...where is Ella has she met him?"

Joshua wasn't sure why that made him so happy to hear that, but he sat a little straighter and grinned, a light twinkling in his eye. "I think people will be happy for us." he pecked her cheek and closed his eyes. "The dance shall be good. I can't wait to see your dress... I just hope I don't spill anything on my suit... or knock someone over... or stutter when I'm talking... or fall..." he kept mumbling.
Ven laughed truly then, the kind of laugh that tips your head back and shakes your shoulders. "But then you have a little life to hold." he pointed out, pecking her cheek. "Life is rather hard and dirty and humiliating sometimes... but the good times make it worth it." he whispered, knowing that this was one of those good times. He had life just as he wanted it.
Habi tensed when Rachelle slumped, and luckily a wolf caught the child, as he caught Rachelle. He stared at the animal, nervous, but it merely set their baby down before backing away. He nodded in thanks and made sure Rachelle was all wrapped up in his coat, the baby resting in her lap as he scooped her up and stumbled back towards camp. She needed medical attention that could not be given out in a forest.
Reece gently set Theodore as close to Abby as he could, tucking him into her. "He is perfect." he agreed, watching his wife and child like the proud father he was. He smiled, adjusting Theo's blanket a bit and then his smile wavered a little. "Ella was having trouble with her own child. I believe she is alright now... she's just resting with Donavon. She said she would visit as soon as she was able."

Gracie cupped his face giggling her eyes sparkling at how adorable he was "breathe Joshua...all you need to care about is having a good time, I'm the only one going to be paying that much attention to you...the rest just want to dance and have a good time...you will look dashing in your suit and we will dance all night just like in the cloakroom, in fact we may just go back in there if you are more comfortable."
Ariella nodded already dozing off as she snuggled in his chest "right now...it just nice...I'm in love with you...the stars are out and I can finally feel safe and at peace..."
Camilla looked up as Habi rushed with a limp Rachelle in his arms and a red baby. She quickly walked back with Flint to the Medical tent so they could care for her. She grabbed hot rags to clean her with hoping it would help with an infection if it is present.
Abby looked up from her daze in shock "are they both ok?" She was so scared for her sister she knew this baby was a miracle and she didn't want anything to go wrong "tell her to rest and not worry about me! I'm fine...just a little tender and weak." She snuggked her baby kissing his head "but I'm a momma..."

Joshua breathed deeply a few times, dragging in air and then letting out again, and finally he let the tension go from his shoulders and nodded, leaning his forehead on her shoulder. "That doesn't sound so bad..." he smiled lightly. "I am looking forward to seeing your dress though." he smiled honestly, lifting his head to kiss her cheek. "The coat closet certainly won't be good enough for such a jewel as you anymore."
Ven smiled as she went to sleep in his arms, and he rubbed her arm gently, holding her against him as she drifted off. "Goodnight by love..." he whispered. "Sleep well... I'll be here when you wake." He vowed, closing his own eyes.
Habi laid Rachelle down on the furs, making sure the child's cleaned up and given to one of the women currently breastfeeding their own child. He then turned his attention to his wife, nodding his thanks to Camilla and Flint as he checked for infection. "She needs few stitches." he muttered, getting out the supplies and getting right to work while she was still unconscious.
Reece nodded quickly to assure his love, as he didn't like seeing her so distressed. "They are both fine." he assured. "The doctor said that the baby settled, and that Ella just needs to stay on bed rest. She knows that you want her to get better." He kissed her forehead and then relaxed beside her. "I'm sure she'll only come when the doctor says it's safe too." He promised, watching their son sleep. "But you need rest too, ok?"

Grace flushed and brushed her gloved hand across his cheek "Josh..." She whispered then slowly pressed her lips to his and pulled back some of her punk gloss leaving a residue "you make me feel like every romantic heroine has ever felt...I don't understand why you see all this in me but I'm grateful...and I don't know how to ever repay you...may I go with you to your families this weekend? And then you meet mine?"
Camilla cleaned up the after birth lodged inside and sweated some pollus inside to stop the infection "few leaves that's all,.." She assured Habi as he finished up. "It's incredible she handled it on her own...the pain let alone knowing when to push..it's miraculous." She was in awe at this women and wouldn't believe it if there wasn't blatant proof "thought of any names for the baby?"
Abby let out a breath and relaxed "good...good, I hope Donavon takes care of her and makes sure she doesn't leave the bed!" She scolded but smiled at her son "I don't want to rest...I just want to watch him...dream about holding him for my own..."

Cecile blushed sweetly, and she looked down at her hands, fiddling with her sleeve. "I don't know about that Monsieur, but you are very kind." She dipped her head in a nod. "I will save the last dance for you, " she vowed. She stepped into the room and then smiled, her face lighting up. "This place is wonderful... thank you." She moved to sit on the empty bed, peering at her new surroundings. Everything was so strange and different, she knew she'd be homesick, but for now, she had to be strong and adventurous. She sat a little straighter, telling herself to be brave.
Josh closed his eyes, melting into the kiss, and when they pulled away he was grinning hugely. "Yeah, of course," he said, as he knew he was thrilled with that idea. "I'd love for you to meet them, and I'd love to meet yours." He reached over and squeezed her hand to let her know he meant it. "This weekend then? You could come to my place Saturday for dinner, and I could go to yours on Sunday? My brother would love to meet you." He smiled.
Habi nodded, trusting what she was doing, and he agreed as well. "Yes, she's incredibly strong." he murmured, stroking the hair away from his wife's forehead. "As for names for the child... I suggested Hadassah, but she passed out before she could approve." he said honestly, looking down at their sleeping baby girl. "She's such a sweet little thing."
Reece nodded, understanding that both sisters cared deeply for each other. "I'm sure he will. He cares for her too, and will do what is best." He promised, kissing her forehead. "He will be here when you wake, my love. The sooner you rest and regain your strength, the sooner you can hold him on your own." He encouraged, squeezing her hand.

Gracie was going to leave when he noticed her book, she looked up her eyes bright and excited "it's one of my favorites! I used to dream about living in a treehouse like that..." She had never spoken so openly to a boy in all her life. She showed him her other book "do you like phantom of the opera? It's tragically romantic and a little frightening!" She admitted so glad to find someone who loves books as much as she.
Ariella grabbed his cloak stopping him from leaving "Ven breathe...I'm fine, I'm not offended and I'm certainly not going to let something like this ruin our night." She cupped his face and kissed him lovingly "now come on...get changed into your civilian clothes." She insisted and smiled taking off his madallion and cloak so he was shirtless and folded them properly.
Camilla watched nervously and beamed as he managed to squeeze her hand, she had tears in her eyes she was so happy "that's wonderful flint!" She said proudly and kissed him "you'll get your strength back...just like I got mine, I'm not giving up on you as you didn't me...would you like some pants? You are rather exposed..." She flushed but was smiling showing him that she was pleased and not flustered by it.
Mani considered his options "father needs rest don't both him...ill take another swallow of that drug and it'll be done." He squeezed her hand smiling "I won't look so horrific I hope...I miss your sister she is such a sweet girl and will be my sister after all." He laid down on the cot and relaxed as she got prepared "maybe you should become a nurse...you are a natural!"
Abby smiled softly but she was weak and hurting "I hope so...be strong alright?" She whispered bringing his head to her and kissed him softly but with unmatched passion until she heard Freddie "you have to go..." She reminded and let him go her heart fluttered at the thought of never seeing him again.
