McKensie and Lara III

Lacey smiled and pecked his cheek, she curled her arm around his and swallowed "music is starting...where is James? He can't be late he's the best man!" She bit her lip nervously "peek out see if Maxwell is ready..."

Her father swallowed slowly, standing a little taller as the music started. At his daughter's request, he went to the doors and looked, making sure that Maxwell was all ready. "He seems to be dear. Everything is in order." He looked up as James arrived, and smiled softly. "Ah, and there is your brother."

Lacey sighed in relief and huggec her brother tightly "thank goodness you are here...I was scared you were going to not make it." She brushed him off and put the flower on his lapel, a tiger lilly of course. She pecked his cheek "you ready?"

Lacey's father watched as the procession passed, his arm looped through his daughter's, and then finally it was their turn, and he smiled at Lacey once before walking out and down the isle with her. Everyone turned to look their eyes alight. But no one looked so happy as Maxwell as he beamed when he saw her.

The priest nodded, "I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss the bride."
Maxwell grinned, winking at Lacey as he swept her up into his arms and kissed her deeply.

Lydia smiled and watched squeezing James hand lightly "you doing alrught? Or are the waterworks going to happen when they leave?" She asked pecking his cheek "we didn't dance at our wedding.." With the baby, no dancing so they didn't have a big reception just a parade of waving.

James was watching his sister with her husband, and he swallowed, shaking his head. "I'm fine for now." he said honestly, not sure how he would handle it later. Then he smiled softly. "Well then, let's make up for it and dance now." he suggested, taking her hand and leading her to the dance floor.

Lydia laughed "I can't move like that love..." She was amazed at Lacey's dancing abilities as she held onto James "baby is really like the music though feel." She laughed quietly as the baby kicked away.

James chuckled. "You don't need skills to dance, only to dance well. Anyone can dance really…" he chuckled and shook his head. Lowering his hand to her stomach, his eyes widened. "My… aren't they active?" he whispered, amazed.

Lydia laughed lightly nodding "we have a dancer of our own, or musican whichever they prefer." She kissed him softly "I'm ready to go home now...my feet are swollen and I just need to rest in your arms please..."

James smiled softly. "Well isn't that something. A music lover." He said softly. He nodded, worried about her as always. "Sit for a minute? I'll go catch Lacey and say goodbye and then we can leave." he promised, kissing her cheek. He pushed through the crowd, stopping by Lacey and Maxwell. "Sorry to interrupt… I just came to say goo bye. I need to get Lydia home."

Maxwell waved as James left, and then turned to Lacey, taking her hand in his. "You doing ok, honey?" He asked softly, knowing it was hard for her to say goodbye to her brother. He decided it would be best not to dwell on the goodbye, and instead focus on the future. "What do you say we leave and go to the hotel now?" he suggested, hopeful. They had danced and had cake, and he was incredibly impatient.

Lacey nodded and smiled "you've been very patient Pan, let's go...where is our carriage?" She asked looking around and not seeing a waitibg carriage for them.

Maxwell grinned, walking out with her, so happy to be leaving and get some time alone with her. He pointed to the car and smiled softly. "I believe your parents rented us an automobile for the ride to the hotel. Your father drove it over for us." he explained, climbing in the driver's side. "You ready?"

Lacey gasped in excitement "what a marvelous machine! Oh how exciting we get to drive one!" She hopped in holding onto his arm and waving at her family as it honked and spurted smoke out into the air. She laughed gaily at how fun this was.

Maxwell laughed as he started it up, honking and waving to the family as they drove off. He enjoyed the short drive to the hotel immensely, as the automobile was fun to drive. When they got there, he parked it and hopped out, holding the door open for her. "My lady…" he said, smiling as he had a bellhop gab their bags and carry them inside.

Lacey smiled and hopped out, and into his arms "walk me across the threshold Max dear." She teased holding onto him her feet bare since she took off her heels when the got into the car.

Maxwell smiled, swooping her off her feet as he carried her into the hotel and up to their room. He pushed the door open and walked across with her, setting her down gently by the couch. He looked around their place and smiled softly. "Well… think this will do for the week?"

Lacey looked around in awe and smiled touching the bed and marble tub "it's gorgeous...thank you Macwell!" She huggec him tightly "ready for your surprise?"

Maxwell smiled, watching as she explored the hotel room. He was glad that she approved of his choice. He figured it would comfortably house them for the week that they had to themselves. "You're welcome." he said softly. Then he brightened, nodding eagerly as he hugged her. "Yes!" He said, his enthusiasm evident.

Lacey smiled and changed out of her dress showing him the bra and panties "well? What do you think?" She asked spinning to show him all angles "am I cute?"

Maxwell watched as she undressed and then his eyes widened. She was wearing hardly anything, and something stirred in him. "You look ravishing, honey." He whispered, stepping forwards to trail his hands over this new invention, "was this your idea?" He asked softly.

Lacey smiled loving his face and how he admired her invention "Illi and I did, we are trying to sell them to other girls to rid of corsets...queen Victoria's secret lingerie." She strrattled his lap "it isn't too improper?"

Maxwell nodded slowly, running his hands over her shoulders and back. "This is lovely, so easy to get you out of too." He whispered, unclamping the bra. "I think many men and women will enjoy this." He said seriously. "It's quite the great invention." He kissed her gently.

Lacey gasped and smiled letting him undress her "thank you my love...you don't care that I try to start a business...it isn't lady like at all..."

Maxwell shook his head, kissing a line down her collar bone. "You're an adventurous person, I enjoy that." he said seriously, brushing her hair back from her neck. "I think it's a great way for you and Iliana to spend your time." he assured, kissing her neck gently.

Lacey shivered and smiled unbuttoning his shirt and running her hands down his strong chest "Mmm...I just love you so much..."

Maxwell smiled and kissed her deeply as a response. That night he fell asleep with a smile on his face, and her in his arms, knowing he was lucky to have such a wonderful wife.

Lacey was getting the house ready for her new baby, she was always talking to Illiana's belly but she had a fear that the baby didn't know her as the mother. That she wasn't a mother just a woman taking a baby and claiming it as her own.

Iliana had grown more used to the baby as the months passed, and she was used to Lacey talking to her stomach as if she wasn't there at all, too. She didn't mind it, but sometimes she got the unnerving feeling that the thing in her stomach didn't belong there at all.

Lacey smiled at Illiana "how are you doing? We've gotten a lot of sales on our products...are you feeling sick? Or...is it ok? I know its my baby but...do you feel any connection to it?"

Iliana smiled softly, nodding. "I'm glad we've made such progress with our business." She said honestly. "I'm still doing alright." She promised, rubbing her stomach. It was growing more swollen each day. "Connection? Well there is the sort of connection in that it is stuck in my stomach and doesn't seem to want to dislodge itself… but no, it isn't my child, and it doesn't feel like it either."

Lacey sighed and nodded "thank you...that gives me some comfort...I just have a fear that I don't feel like it's mother...that it'll want you...I never want any woman to have to go through this...it's unnatural and I'm so sorry Illi..."

Iliana shook her head, sighing. "No, you're it's mother, both me and this baby can feel that. They jump every time you come close." She said honesty, wincing a little as she said it, as the baby's kicks were quite painful. "It's alright, Lacey." She said rather tiredly. "It's over and done with, and in the end I'll be happy you have your baby."

Lacey sighed taking her hand and squeezing it "what can I do Illi? You seem more miserable by the day...some days I swear you hate me...just the looks I get, I can't lose my best friend...over this Illi..."
Her father smiled softly, kissing his baby's cheek. "I'm happy for you darling, there's no need for me to cry right now."
Her mother smirked. "But he'll be bawling later tonight, just you wait and see."
Her father shook his head, sharing a knowing glance with his wife. "You've been fine darling." He told Lacey. "I just hope you have fun, and remember to be yourself. In the end, this is you and Maxwell's day. I love you." He said.
