McKensie and Lara III

Marcoux blanched hearing that and supported her better as he set her back on the bed watching her closely so he could catch her if necessary. Lacey watched worried for her friend she went and grabbed a cold cloth laced with lavender and placed it on her forehead.

Iliana let them help her into bed, and after a few seconds, the clouds in her vision cleared again, and she could breathe easier once more. "I'm sorry guys…" she said, reaching over to take Lacey's hand. "I really am. I… I don't mean to be upset or anything, I'm just well and truly frightened." She said softly.

Lacey nodded "darling I would be too...but we are here for you, and everything will go wonderfully...and it only is a few months and then it's over...and I'll be forever in your debt Illi...you don't know how much this means to me...I would be lost without your friendship all my life."

Iliana nodded slowly, pulling on a weak smile. "I hope everything goes well…" she breathed. "I just… I never saw myself as pregnant." she said honestly. "I certainly wasn't prepared for this." she smiled over at Lacey. "But I'm glad I can help you, for I do know how much it means to you."

Lacey smiled and nodded "anything I can do to help just ask...I want this to be smooth and easy for you...simple and even enjoyable if possible..." She squeezed her hand "I wish I could repay you for your kindness."

Iliana nodded softly, closing her eyes as she tried to breathe deep again when another wave of panic hit her. "I…" She swallowed and shook her head. "Lacey, kindness is not a thing to be repaid. It is a gift." She said softly, pulling on a smile. "But I would appreciate it if you told me the location of my children."

Lacey frowned not quite understanding her question "the location?"

Illiana laughed softly. "You know, like where they are in this house?" she asked, raising an eyebrow. "i haven't seen them for hours!"

Lacey smiled and went to go find the foxes, she pulled them up but they were fussy and leapt in Illiana's arms nuzzling and licking her face.

Iliana smiled when she saw the foxes and her eyes immediately lit up. She gathered them to her, ruffling their fur. "Hi babies!" she said, kissing their foreheads. "Thank you Lacey."

Lacey smiled watching her with the foxes and smiled "if you ever wanted a child Illiana of your own you'd be a good mother...look at you with the twins."

Iliana smiled softly and shrugged. "Maybe later, when Marcoux and I want children." She agreed. "But for now, I'm happy with these two, and all the dogs." She said honestly. "I doubt I could raise a child."

Lacey smiled "I really think you could if it's whsf you want." She insisted and rubbed her stomach wishing she could feel the baby but it was too small still.
Marcoux grabbed Shiloh so she wasn't bombarded with both of them and wrapped him around his neck which was one of his favorite positions.

Iliana nodded in agreement. "Thank you." She said, stroking Mila's head as she curled up and slept beside her.
Shiloh licked Marcoux's ear, enjoying seeing the world from higher up, and Iliana reached over to squeeze Marcoux's hand.

Marcoux smiled "why don't we let Illi sleep and you two can wedding plan." Lacey blinked "I keep forgetting its tomorrow!" She quickly pulled Maxwell away.

Maxwell raised his eyebrows. Tomorrow? "Is it already wednesday?" he asked, confused. "Have I missed a few days? Did I oversleep? My, time flies."

Lacey nodded "it is Wednesday! Darling why do you think IVs been such a wreck? We are getting married in 12 hours!"

Maxwell shook his head in amazement. Time really did fly! He took her hands in his gently and kissed them both. "Baby… relax. In 12 hours we will be married and together and all of this will be over and done with. We'll survive… alright?"

Lacey nodded and swallowed her heart was beating rapidly, she couldn't breathe until his lips pressed against her fingers. He was her calming force and she felt the trickle of a chill go down her spine and relax her. "Alright...you are right...can we please go over the wedding binder and make sure everything is ready? I know it'll be perfect whatever happens...but Ive worked so hard on this...I need every detail to go smoothly...no huge disasters."

Maxwell smiled softly, loving how cute she was, even though she was clearly stressed out. And he knew she had reason to be. But he just felt that however it went, was how it went, and in the end he would be happier to have it done with. But he nodded anyways, "Of course." he said, pulling out the huge binder and laying it on the table by them. "We can make sure we have everything ready." he promised, even though they had already gone through everything every day for the past week.

Lacey sighed in relief, she leaned her head on his shoulder trying to breathe through the anxiety she was feeling. "I am sorry that I've become such a psychopath bride...this is the only day we have in front of our family and friends to express our love...and I've just envisioned this for so long and so many things have gone wrong for me this year...I need this to make up for it..."

Maxwell squeezed her shoulders gently in a hug and then just rubbed her arms, trying to be soothing. "Psychopath? Never." he promised, looking down at her seriously. "I completely get that you want this to go well. I do too." He promised, reaching up to tuck a strand of her hair behind her ear before he continued. "Just know that if it isn't everything we planned, it's still our wedding, and in the end, you'll be my Tink forever, and I'll be your Pan." he whispered, brushing his nose against hers as he smiled.

Lacey smiled and brushed his nose back with hers and smiled "that's the theme...never land, the light jars and the koi fountains...the pirate mast with the white satin sails...its pan's and Tink's never land...so perfect..."

Maxwell smiled softly then, closing his eyes as he envisioned what it would look like. It was far too perfect, and he loved the idea. "My my, you've really thought of everything." he whispered, stealing a soft kiss. "We'll have the most wonderful wedding, everything will go smoothly, and then once it is over, it'll be just us for a whole week." He promised, running his fingers through her hair.

Lacey smiled and nodded kissing him back "just us on the mermaid island...and then hopefully we can feel our baby when we get back and Illiana and Marcoux will be moved out and daddy will be on his hunting retirement trip...we can start our lives together."

Maxwell smiled softly, thinking of it all. "Our baby… Lacey. We're having a baby…" He breathed, smiling softly. "We should start thinking of names, you know." He pointed out, closing the wedding binder again and slipping it away as he kissed her cheek. They'd have to sleep separately tonight, but for now, he was enjoying spending time with her.

Lydia laughed lightly and shook her head "this isn't adventerous...I'll make something crazy next time...like sea urchin or escargot...this is a simple delicious snack that is the perfect mixture of sweet and bitter...plus with the strawberry torte you have a perfect range of taste pallet."
Lacey smilef and sighed "I won't be able to sleep without you tonight...but we will have a wonderful night tomorrow and I have a surprise for you...you'll like it im pretty sure..."

James wrinkled up his nose. "Don't count on me to taste any escargot. I think I'll have to pass on that one." he said, shaking his head. He put down the cheese knife and took a bite. He immediately grinned, swallowing. "You're right! It's a perfect mix of flavours." he agreed, finishing off the slice before he cut another one. "You made strawberry torte!" He grinned. "My my, aren't we pampered today!"
Maxwell smiled softly, nodding in agreement. He wasn't sure how he would ever be able to wait until tomorrow to be with her again. And this surprise... "A surprise, you say?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. "Pray, tell me what this special surprise is? You're killing me!"

Lydia laughed lightly "don't blame me if your pants don't fit correctly anymore, you are the one with a sweet tooth and I love pleasing my man...but I don't make healthy food..." She lay on his stomach "I'm surprised I haven't gotten any cravings..."
Lacey smiled and shook her head "oh no, now you'll be excited and waiting anxiously for it...keep you awake during the ceremony. Did you know Lydia fainted during theirs? James kept it under wraps but she was out like a light!"

James chuckled, finishing off a full apple before he opened the basket again and got out the strawberry torte, dishing some out for each of them. He ate his slowly, savouring each bite. "I'll never get fat!" He said stubbornly, patting his stomach. "I do enough work to stay thin." He took another bite. "Maybe you aren't far enough along to get them? Either that or you're just one lucky woman and won't get them at all…"
Maxwell groaned deeply, tipping his head back. "You murderous woman!" He complained, shaking his head as a small smile played on his lips. "I hadn't heard that she'd fainted! I saw the images though, I suppose she did look a little limp during that kiss. Just thought she was swooning for him. Good man for saving the day." He said, shaking his head. "please don't faint love, that would be terribly awkward if I couldn't catch you in time." he teased.

Lacey laughed and shook her head "if you must know I won't be wearing a corssett so the likeliness of the happening is very low...now that's all I'm saying about the surprise clear? No trying to weasel anymore out of me sneaky fiancé of mine." She scolded bopping him on the nose and smiling "I love that your vest will look like leave design...likd Peter Pan.."

Maxwell's eyes widened then. "No corset!?" he repeated, trying to imagine what that would look like. This had something to do with the surprise, he knew it, and now he couldn't wait to find out what it was. "Darling! You can't leave me in such suspense!" he complained, shaking his head. "But yes, I'm happy with the theme. And I assume your dress will fit in as well." he said, smiling at her. "I can't wait to see it, but for now, we both need rest." he said, kissing her gently.

Lacey smiled and nodded kissing him back "goodnight darling...do not think about the surprise all night. Rest, so that you are bright in the early morning...Marcoux will help you get ready and James will be in the wedding line later...he didn't want to leave his honeymoon but I'm his sister and I will murder him if he doesn't show up."

Maxwell nodded as he stood. But how could he not think about the surprise, and the wedding in general? It was tomorrow! And he was starting to get nervous, even though he was very careful not to show this. "Goodnight, love. I'll see you tomorrow." He whispered, kissing her cheek. "Goodluck. I'm sure your brother will show up." He promised, smiling softly as he left the room with one last wink when he returned to his bedroom.

Lacey woke up early the next morning to Illians prodding her "Illi let me alone I'm so tired..." She moaned thinking this was when she was her ladies maid and it wasn't her wedding day. She pulled the covers up over her head trying to block out the light.

Iliana smiled a little then, pulling open the blinds with a swift tug, letting the room flood with light. "It's your wedding day, Lacey. Wake up. You have to prepare." She said gently as she lay out her dress and underwear on the chair.

Lacey blinked and moaned "I'm up...I'm up...how does the underwear look? I think I scared Max by saying I'm not going to wear a corsett...is my dress ok? It's supposed to look like something a fairy would wear...Mmm cant I have an hour longer to sleep?"

Illiana lay the veil by the dress and smiled softly, overlooking them both. "It looks perfectly like what a fairy would wear… all downy and light. But I still don't understand why you wish to look like a fairy." She said honestly, helping her change into the underwear. "I'm sure Maxwell will love you surprise though. I'm shocked you told him about the lack of corset."

Lacey smiled "because the theme is peterman, tinkerbell is my nickname for hm and he's my pan...and I had to reassure him that I wouldn't faint like Lydia did at her wedding" she pulled on the bra and panties. She posed and smiled "oh yes...pan is going to want to grow up when he sees these."

Illiana beamed then. "Oh isn't that sweet!" She said, shaking her head. Her friend really did have a fairytale romance, literally. And she thought that was just about the cutest thing she had ever heard of. Then she smiled softly. "It looks lovely on you, Lacey. I think many girls will be buying our products." She agreed. "Now. Let's get you in your dress and get this whole ceremony over and done with. That way you can be with Maxwell on your honeymoon."

Lacey smiled and slipped on her dress she fixed her hair in a tinkerbell bun with curls and placed the feathers and sparkles in her hair and around her eyes "how does this look? I don't want to go over the top..."

Iliana helped her fix up her hair and dab on the sparkles and light colour on her face and over her eyes. Then she stepped back and walked in a large ring around Lacey, smiling softly. "You look like an angel." she said in a breath of admiration. "Not over the top at all. Just a touch of magic, really." She smiled brightly. "Now. Shall we go see how much everyone else likes your dress?" She asked.

Lacey squeezed her hands and smiked "you look beautiful too...I love the color on you, plus your glowing! Want to get the flowers? I need to get the the church and gazebo ready!"

Iliana smiled softly, looking down at herself. "Thank you. I like the colour as well." She said honestly, twirling the skirt a little. "I'll grab the flowers and bring them out for you. Meet me at the church?" She suggested.

Lacey nodded and quickly went to the carriage and riding to the church, she found her mum and hugged her close "where's dad? He can't be late...I need him to walk me down the aisle."

Her mother was busy bustling around, fretting that James wouldn't come, and making sure everything was ready. When she saw her daughter, she gasped, her eyes watering up. "Aren't you just an angel." She breathed, hugging her tightly. "Your father is just getting his hair fixed. Wanted to look his best."

Lacey smiled hugging her back and drying her tears "is James here yet?" She saw her father and smiled hugging him "hi daddy...is Maxwell alright? I don't think he remembered the peterpan hat..."

Her mother shook her head. "Not yet, but almost... I hope." She said softly as her husband came out. He smiled softly. "I'm doing alright, thanks for asking." He joked. "Maxwell is just getting ready. He remembered his hat, don't worry." He promised. "He looks a little nervous." He admitted.

Lacey smiled cupping her daddy's face "I'm glad you are alright daddy...I thought you'd be crying by now..." She teased and sighed nodding at Maxwell's fear "he'll be marvelous I just want this day over with...non-stop stress for weeks now...I bet I drove everyone insane."
Iliana smiled when she saw how happy Lacey was, and she hugged her back, "I'm glad for you, Lacey, I really am." She said seriously, trying to take deep breaths. "But I think I'm going to faint."
