Jacquelyn Elizabeth Monroe {Jackie}

Don't ever call Jackie by her full name, unless you want to end up flat on the ground with your arms twisted behind your back. She's gotten tough, being one of the only girls in Team B. Jackie tends to act on impulse rather than think things through, which explains her tendency to lash out when angry. Once one gets to know her, Jackie can become the sweetest girl you've ever known. She is quite talkative, though she may seem unapproachable to those who don't give her a chance. She is super curious and very kind. She's very outgoing and definitely isn't afraid to speak her mind.
Jackie is incredibly athletic, which makes her the perfect runner. The boys tend to over look her, as she is a lot smaller than them, but it doesn't faze her.
At the beginning, Jackie hung out alone, too nervous to talk to the others in the Glade. As some of the boys began to tease her, she began to gain more courage to stand up to them. Her curiosity and thirst for adventure led her to become a runner. Since she is one of only a few girls part of the runners, she has always pushed herself, trying to keep up with and beat the boys. She has developed a healthy competition between them, letting them push her to be stronger.
Jackie is still relatively new to the Glade, though shed her 'greenie' reputation pretty quickly, learning the ropes of the glade as fast as she could. She slips up every once and a while, reminding the boys how new she is.
Jacquelyn's parents had been contacted, when Jackie was only a few years old, by WICKED. They offered her parents the opportunity to keep their daughter safe and told them that Jackie would be beneficial to the preservation of mankind. Her parents agreed without a complaint and let WICKED take their little girl away. They figured she would be perfectly fine, and she would be returned to them once the danger had passed. A few years later, her parents died from the flare. They never saw their baby girl again.
Jackie was raised at WICKED. Once it was the right time, her memory was erased and she was put into the elevator room, on her way to Team B as part of the group of girls put in with the boys for experimental purposes.
Gavin Benjamin Evans

~Seventeen years old
Gavin is a pretty tough guy, though he's softened up slightly. Not that the girls in Team A are soft. Definitely not. He was given a hard time, as the girls were pretty defensive. So, he had to learn to let some walls down so they would trust him. He's a sweet guy, but can get defensive easily. Gavin is very protective of his friends. He's strong, a good fighter, but he's also very smart.
His analytical mind gives him the ability to make maps. He likes analyzing the maps from day to day, trying to look for a way out from a bird's eye view. He proved he was trustworthy enough to work with the runners.
Gavin tends to be pretty calm in tough situations, but, when faced with a threat, he's going to fight back. He always has a pocket knife on handy, just in case. He has a kind heart and tends to get along with the girls pretty well. He can be sort of awkward sometimes, since he is one of the few boys in the glade.
When he first arrived, the girls kept their distance. He was a bit of a loner, lashing out every so often. Soon though, he began to form relationships with the girls, and they began to accept him. He has never acted like he was better, or stronger, or smarter than them because he's a guy. Gavin gets along pretty well with the group. He's been around for about 6 months, so it isn't as awkward for him anymore, though he isn't the best with the greenies.
Gavin's Father died from the flare when he was just a few years old. His mother loved Gavin, but when she began to go crazy, infected by the flare, she knew he couldn't stay with her. Before she lost it completely, WICKED contacted her and asked if they could have her son. Knowing she wouldn't be able to care for him much longer, she let them take Gavin away, positive it would be better than Gavin living on his own at the age of eight. She was wrong. Very wrong.
Once it was time for Gavin to enter the Glade, his memory was wiped. Gavin woke up in an elevator room, with a large group of girls staring down at him. The only thing he remembered was his name.
Emmeline Indigo Jane {Emmy}

~Eighteen years old
Emmy is one of the sweetest girls you will meet in the glade. She is very helpful and kind and is always willing to lend a helping hand. She is a great cook and she loves her job, probably because she makes everyone happy. She treats her fellow gladers right, always keeping them filled, never hungry.
She's a bright spot and can normally be found with a soft smile on her face. When times are rough, she's the one that cheers people up. Emmy may seem shy at first, but she strikes up conversations with pretty much anyone. She spends most her time in the kitchen, always keeping it clean and neat.
Emmy tries to see the best in everyone. She's a big believer in second chances, and banishments have always made her uncomfortable. She's actually pretty tough, though she may not look like it, and would be willing to hurt someone if they threatened the people she loved. She's very good at keeping her anger in, not one to start fights with people for no reason. She's pretty good at keeping people's temper in check, and she has proved to the gladers that she will not be walked over. The few boys in Team A have tried to mess with her and the kitchen, but she doesn't stand for it.
She has British blood in her, as her parents moved from Britain to America. Though she practicality grew up at WICKED headquarters, she still inherited their British accent, which is evident anytime she speaks.
Emmy grew up with just her father, as her mother died after giving birth to her. Her dad worked in WICKED, and he had a pretty high rank. She grew up there, and was occasionally asked to help with planning the maze (sort of like what Thomas and Teresa did). Of course, she was so young that she didn't know any better. Her father told her that she was helping the world, so she did it, no questions asked. She became pretty important to WICKED and as she got older, she worked even more closely with them.
She was sent into the maze at the age of fourteen. Her mind was erased and she was sent to the few other girls that were already in the glade. Emmy doesn't remember WICKED, but occasionally she will get the idea that there is something bigger waiting for the gladers outside the maze. She always shakes it off, figuring she's just being paranoid.
