Skylight beat her wings, powerful gust of air rocked the trees. "Let's do some tricks," Rhiannon whispered to the dragon. Skylight launched herself upwards, spinning. Blue light began to shimmer around her and the rider. Skylight flipped, still spinning, with Rhiannon falling from her back. The dragon did a loop, catching her master. Rhiannon landed in the perfect position. Skylight fell in midair, then zoomed away, cutting a perfect line through the trees. Finally she landed near a creek, wings flapping. Skylight shook her head like she was getting water from her ears. Rhiannon laughed and sat down dizzily.
Aalia walks up a hill, wood piles in her hand. She places them on a suspended platform. She pulls a strand of rope that disappears into the trees. The wood is elevated into the leaves. Aalia skillfully climbs the trees placing her feet in the perfect crevices. Once she makes it up she begins to finish her house.
She places the wood boards to cover the top of the circular house. It is all covered in leaves. No one from the outside can see it. Once she finishes she climbs down and runs to the village, hoping to find someone to come with her to the dark deep.

Luna flys down into the forst without a sound on the back of Nightshade. Getting of, Luna landed on the ground and sat next to a near by tree. Nighshade huffed, sitting next to her and looking out into the open forest.
Rhiannon lets herself fall from Skylight's back on the ground. She spots Luna and waves. "Hey!" she calls.
Skylight waved her tail, inviting Nightshade to play. Rhiannon watched the two for a second and then said, "I like your dragon. It's cute."
"Thanks." She said, looking up to see Rhiannon and her dargon, Skylight. "Yours in nice to- Nightshade! Be careful!" She suddenlt burst out as Nightshade pounced on Skylight, whipping her round in a playful way. Luna sighed and rested her head agants the tree again.
Skylight countered, rolling into a ball and bowling over a sapling. Rhiannon laughed. "So… how are lessons at the academy?" she asked.
Aalia climbs down from her discussed tree house. She sees the two talking. She runs behind the bushes and comes out of a different part of the forest. "Hi"
Rhiannon nodded. "This is Aalia," she says, introducing her friend. "And this is Luna," she tells Aalia.
"Hi." Luna suddenly said, forgetting right away what Rhiannon had asked.Nightshade growled plaufuly and swiped her ear.
Aalia whistles. Syracuse comes out of the ocean with 3 fish in her mouth. Aalia throws them on the ground for the dragons.
"So… how training."
"So… how training."
Skylight lifted her tail and delicately wrapped it around Rhiannon's waist. She lifted her master up with her tail, purring. Rhiannon crossed her arms and huffed. "Put me down," she told Skylight, raising an eyebrow. Skylight shook her head.
Skylight watches it intensely, growling a little. With a quick movement she snatched the fish from Aalia's hand, still not letting go on Rhiannon.
"It was a good try," Rhiannon said, shrugging.
"It was a good try," Rhiannon said, shrugging.
"Hmmmm," Aalia takes her hand and places it under Skylight's throat and rubs it. It should make her fall on the ground in an instant.
Skylight unwraps her tail and Rhiannon falls into a crouch. Skylight shoots Aalia look of betray and pulls Rhiannon back into a tail loop. Rhiannon scratches her dragon's ear. Skylight purrs and wraps her wing around her master and licks Rhiannon's hair so that it sticks up. "Really?" she asks, slightly annoyed. Skylight purrs. "Honestly, I can't stay mad at you." Skylight wraps a wing around Rhiannon so that only her head sticks up over it.
Trafora scours the woods for a gem, until she finds a good-sized clump of pretty blue stone. She decides to bring it back to the forge, and then she can go to the beach wit Rhiannon.
Aalia sits on the base of her treehouse, slowly carving a figurine out of Willow Wood that looks like Syracuse, who was now at the moment in the sea catching fish. She was practicing memory drawing.
Aalia begins singing a sweet tune that her mother used to sing before she died.
"Dancing bears, painted wings
Things I almost remember
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December
Someone holds me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory
Far away, long ago
Glowing dim as an ember
Things my heart used to know
Once upon a December
Someone holds me safe and warm
Horses prance through a silver storm
Figures dancing gracefully
Across my memory
Far away, long ago
Glowing dim as an ember
Things my heart used to know
Things it yearns to remember
And a song someone sings
Once upon a December "

Skylight flew above the trees. Rhiannon leaned over, scouting for any signs of Trafora. There was none whatsoever, and the adrenaline pumping through her made her heart beat fast and strong. "Trafora!" Rhiannon called. "Trafora!"
All of a sudden, Skylight bucked beneath her. "Skylight!" Rhiannon reproached. "Stop it!" But the dragon wouldn't. It twisted and rolled through the air, Rhiannon slipping off it's back. "Skylight!" she screamed as she fell.
Rhiannon grabbed onto a tree branch, something wrenching in her wrist. Above her, Skylight was still twisting and turning wildly. Something was happening to the dragon. Rhiannon pulled herself up onto the branch and tried to get to her dragon. She was more concerned for it now than for her. As she tried to scale it she felt a sharp pain in her wrist. She must have hurt it in the fall.

Rhiannon climbed down the tree to the forest floor. It was easier to go down rather than up. "****," she said, feeling her wrist. She could move it, so it wasn't broken, but it still hurt nonetheless. For now Rhiannon would have to go back to the Academy so she could find Skylight. Something had happened up there and she needed to find the cause. Sometimes she wished she could talk in Dragon so she would understand what Skylight was saying. Leaning against the tree, Rhiannon weighed her options. She could go to the Academy, which meant getting deeper in the forest ( and she had no idea where she was) or she could wait for help. Finding Aalia's tree house would be impossible- after all, you could only see it from the air.
Rhiannon gives a her a quick smiles and says, "Thank goodness you're here! Skylight ran off and I don't know where she is!"
Aalia shakes her head and leads Rhiannon up the tree to her house.
"You didn't hear me sing, did you?"
"You didn't hear me sing, did you?"
"Nope." Rhiannon responded, her mind on Skylight.
Aalia sighs in relief. Thank the lord
Aalia takes a piece of thin wood and used it as a splint. She takes a roll of fabric and rolls it around her wrist
"You should be fine in about a week. Try to lay off work and use your opposite hand."

Rhiannon shook her head. "I don't think you understand. I need to find Skylight!"
"I don't know," Rhiannon said. "Thanks for the help, but I need to get out there and find her."
"Be careful with your wrist!" Aalia shouts out when she leaves.
Aalia begins to sing again.

Rhiannon started to tramp through the leaves. Skylight was somewhere out there and that dragon of hers wasn't liable to make it too far into the wild.
After walking for about 30 minutes, Rhiannon started hearing some screeching noises. "Skylight!" she shouted and ran towards the source of the noise.

Aalia whistles and Syracuse appears in front of her. In her mouth are 10 fish. Aalia smiles and takes the fish from her dragons mouth. She places them in a woven basket to go to the village. She takes one from her own stash and gives it to Syracuse.
Rhiannon pulled away a branch and crashed into a clearing. Skylight lay in the middle of it, twisting and turning. Rhiannon raced to her side and patted the dragon's head. She seemed to calm a little, one light blue wild but becoming more and more focused.
Aalia strokes Syracuse's head. She climbs down the ladder and starts a fire. Syracuse hands her a pot full with water. Aalia rubs her dragon's head, Syracuse responding with a purr. She cuts up meat and roots and placed it in the pot. Soon the soup starts to boil.
She grabs a ceramic bowl and pours some of the soup in. She taking a bite and smiles. "Chicken Soup"
Skylight looked at her rider. Rhiannon didn't know how to help her, but thought about music. She hadn't sang in a long time, but before her mother died, it had helped to keep her focused.
She started to sing slowly at first, but gained speed.
Are you, are you,
Coming to the tree,
Where they strung up a man,
They say he murdered three,
Strange things have happened here,
No stranger would it be,
If we met up at midnight,
In the hanging tree
Are you, are you,
Coming to the tree,
Where the dead man called out,
For his love to flee,
Strange things have happened here,
No stranger would it be,
If we met up at midnight,
In the hanging tree
Are you, are you,
Coming to the tree,
Where I told you to run,
So we could both be free,
Strange things have happened here,
No stranger would it be,
If we met up at midnight,
In the hanging tree
Are you, are you,
Coming to the tree,
Wear a necklace of rope,
Side by side with me,
Strange things have happened here,
No stranger would it be,
If we met up at midnight,
In the hanging tree
Skylight stopped struggling and licked Rhiannon's hand. She kept singing and curled up close to Skylight's belly.

Aalia hears singing in the woods. she walks toward the noise and hears a song, she knows. She listens and joins in for the last verse.

Rhiannon sat up and blushed. "I guess you know that song, too." She felt awkward and slightly tired from all the running. Rhiannon awkwardly felt her wrist. It pulsed hard with pain.
Aalia sighs. "Don't tell anyone, ok?" She inspects Rhiannon's wrist. "Life's hard enough as it is without it knowing I can sing."
Rhiannon laughed. "Okay."
She started to singing again.
Look at me
I will never pass for a perfect person
Or a perfect daughter
Can it be
I'm not meant to play this part?
Now I see
That if I were truly to be myself
I would break my family's heart
Who is that girl I see
Staring straight back at me?
Why is my reflection someone I don't know?
Somehow I cannot hide, who I am, though I've tried
When will my reflection show who I am inside?
When will my reflection show who I am inside?

"I feel ya" Aalia frowns. "You refractured your wrist this time in a different location, a bit lower this time." Aalia resets the bone and rewraps it.
Rhiannon rolls her eyes. "How is this ever supposed to heal?" she asked sarcastically. "Oh well, I guess I signed up for it."
"Sure," Rhiannon agrees. "But I think that Skylight is gonna stay here."
Rhiannon nods and strokes Skylight's neck.
