Chapters 1-6: (view spoiler)[ This book seems pretty interesting so far. Why did she just black out? I'm eager to find out. One thing I'm noticing a lot is that the writing seems really formal for something narrated by a 17 year old. The dialogue seems a bit unnatural and when they speak they usually don't use contractions and it seems a bit strange. This might just be a personal thing though since I enjoy reading books that have a bit more of a casual writing style. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 7-12: (view spoiler)[ Even though it doesn't seem like the story is moving along at a fast pace, it's still holding my attention and I'm not really sure why. I suppose I just really enjoy the whole element thing. Why did Masters lie and tell Nate that Ava got shipped off? I think she just wants to mess with everyone's heads. Maybe she's telling Ava that she can go to the Halloween dance because she has something planned for before the dance? I really want Ava and Nate to overcome their difficulties because they seem good for each other. The two sassy b-words were made for each other. (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 19-end: (view spoiler)[ I really enjoyed this! I really liked how it wasn't totally a happy ending but it still had a happy ending, if you know what I mean. Oh boy, I just finished the first chapter and this does not seem to be heading in a good direction. I saw how many of you said it gets better later and I'm really hoping for it. There are many things bothering me and I think the book kinda lost me after I read "your welcome". :S
