message 3653: by Raevyn (last edited Jul 10, 2013 01:28PM) (new)

Raevyn "Lucia" [I'm in it for the books] (raevynstar) | 121 comments Just the usual.
Name two books-one you hate, one you love-and find ten things that are similar about them.

message 3654: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments Ooh, that's interesting.

Love -- Pride and Prejudice
Hate -- Worlds of the Crystal Moon by Phillip Jones

1. They both have covers
2. Both have words
3. The pages are made of paper
4. The covers for my editions suck
5. They are written in English
6. The letter "e" is the most prevalent letter
7. Both authors have received a lot of criticism
8. Both are not good read-aloud books
9. Both deal with the topic of love (though P&P actually gets it right)
10. I was forced to read both of them at first

Same question?

message 3655: by Raevyn (new)

Raevyn "Lucia" [I'm in it for the books] (raevynstar) | 121 comments Love: The Giver
I don't hate any, so Never Read: Wonder.

1. They both end with -er.
2.They're both mildly famous.
3. Both covers show faces (the old man and the faceless one)
4.Both are poignant.
5. Both are at least a little controversial.
6. Common Sense Media has reviewed both of them.
7. The authors both have names with R. (lois lowRy and R. j palacio)
8. Both main characters face difficulties.
9. Both main characters have unusual names (Jonas and Auggie)
10. Both are listed on this site.

Would you jump off a cliff if it got you free whatever-you-want?
