I had this character named Kylee once who always said things like "What? Seriously?" She never got things the first time and I ended up killing her. Near the end of her life I made her as annoying as possible just for the fun of it. I think she said something really ignorant and stupid like "If he had slaves, he would whip them."

Do you have any weird phobias?

I guess it depends on what you mean by "childhood." When I was really little I liked a lot of picture books ... I remember reading a lot of the Little Bear books, Frog & Toad, a lot of Maurice Sendak books, etc. When I was a bit older I was really into Roald Dahl, Gail Carson Levine, Eva Ibbotson, E. Nesbit ... umm and probably a lot of other authors I'm forgetting.

Same question?

message 2410: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments Brigid, did we grow up with the same family? Because that's pretty much what I read as a child. Also, Bread and Jam for Francis and other Francis books are still favorites.

((Haha, I once had a teddy bear named Mr. Bear Bear Bear Bear Bear Bear Bear, because I thought plain old Mr. Bear was too clichéd.))

Ummm that's a tough question. I didn't really have good friends until I was like 12 years old. A lot of my friends were like, on-again/off-again friends who I didn't spend much time with, or they lived in other towns and I didn't see them very often, etc. I had one "best friend" throughout elementary school, but I never really liked her––and on top of that, she was really controlling and wouldn't let me hang out with anyone else. But probably no one would have wanted to be my friend anyway, because I was a weird kid. ... Yup.
