Probably... hmm. I'm in a few fairly obscure book fandoms which is sad sometimes.

Do you have good skin?

message 1309: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments Probably after something Savannah said. I think she's the only one who's gotten me to do that in ages.

Have you ever had someone insult you and then give you a contradictory compliment in the same conversation?

I haven't seen a lot of anime TV shows ... I don't know if it counts, but I'm a huge fan of Avatar: The Last Airbender, although that's American so I guess it's not technically an anime except in style. As for movies, I love pretty much anything by Miyazaki.

Where are you right now?

message 1313: by miriam (new)

miriam My bed.

Are you a cat or dog person?

message 1321: by Sevania (new)

Sevania (sevthedev) | 2512 comments Yup. I'm at school right now, and believe me NOBODY wants to be barefoot here.

Where's the nearest water bottle to you? (There is one hanging... from the ceiling... in my classroom.)

Night

message 1324: by [deleted user] (new)

Disney movies? Yes, from time to time. Disney Channel? No, unless it's Phineas and Ferb.

Obsession you've had since childhood?

message 1325: by [deleted user] (new)

I play a tiny bit of piano, but my vocal cords are my main instrument.

Can you do a good imitation of any celebrities/characters?

message 1326: by EJ (new)

EJ | 301 comments Not really. I happen to slip into really annoying voices when quoting things that other people said, like a family member or something. It's so commonplace for me that when people point it out I freak out a little because I don't even realize I do it anymore.

Do you have any bad habits?

message 1327: by Taliah (new)

Taliah Lagons | 161 comments I whistle. A lot.

Do you play with the wax in candles?

message 1328: by Brigid ✩, No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. (new)

Brigid ✩ | 11973 comments Mod
YES oh my gosh, I love doing that. My sisters and I always do that and my mom gets mad at us. But ... it just feels so weirdly good. Hahaha.

Do you like eating salad?

message 1329: by [deleted user] (new)

Yeah. It helps me feel healthier. I can't usually eat an entire salad, though, because the portion sizes here are too big.

If you could be a master at one accent besides your own, what would you choose?

I don't know. When I pointed it out to my classmates they asked me if that's the first time I noticed it. Apparently it's been there all year.

What's your favorite quote?

message 1342: by Sierra (new)

Sierra (skippingstones4) Yes. It's a nice quote :)

What's the best compliment somebody has ever given you?

message 1343: by [deleted user] (new)

There's one compliment I think I got that was so ridiculously kind I'm sort of convinced I made it up... So I don't know. But a guy at EFY told me I had beautiful eyes, and he just sounded so sincere that it meant a lot.

What's the best compliment somebody has ever given about your writing?

message 1344: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments That's hard…I don't mean to sound conceited, but I get a lot of compliments about my writing, mostly because I share it a lot.

I think the best compliment I received was given last February. Savannah and I were at a writing conference (we'd actually become friends the previous year at this same conference, so she and I were feeling super sentimental), and we went to a class on networking with professionals. The presenter told us that we shouldn't judge someone who hasn't been successful yet, because you may very well he sitting next to a future NYT bestselling author. And Savannah nudged me and said, "That'll be you someday if you work hard."

That rocked my world.

Same question?

message 1345: by Brigid ✩, No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. (new)

Brigid ✩ | 11973 comments Mod
Hmm ... good question. I think it was maybe from my senior year writing teacher, who was really enthusiastic about my writing. I asked him to write me a recommendation last year, and he wrote that I was possibly the finest writer he had ever taught. That made me really happy. :D

What's the worst thing someone has said about your writing?

message 1346: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments I've gotten a couple really biting rejection letters. I think the most damaging insult I've received, though, was when my former writing buddy told me I "couldn't write fantasy worth crap."

There is a reason he is my former writing buddy. That has a lot to do with it.

Did you sleep well last night?

message 1347: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments Nah. Went to bed at 3, got up at 6.

What is the farthest distance you've hiked?

Sam~~ we cannot see the moon, and yet the waves still rise~~ | 3061 comments um. not very far. i don't really like to hike, so i only do it when i have to on a trip somewhere.

what is your favorite hobby (besides reading/writing)?

Drawing. (Or any type of artwork really, but mostly drawing.)

Do you usually wake up before or after sunrise?

message 1350: by EJ (new)

EJ | 301 comments Before since my bus comes at 6:20 am. It's practically pitch black when I get up.

Are you more productive in the morning or night?
