Yes, but in person is still best.

Do you know anyone with cancer?

message 902: by Sevania (new)

Sevania (sevthedev) | 2512 comments Not really, but one of my mom's friends has it. (I've never met them)

Who is your favorite lesser-known author?

message 903: by Annemarie, hi (new)

Annemarie Carlson (annielawlz) | 3393 comments Mod
Um I dunno. Uhh JK Rowling.

What's the first country that comes to mind that starts with the letter "K?"

What is the best get-to-know you question you know?

message 905: by Sum (new)

Sum | 846 comments Did you ask this already? Ummm "What's your favorite animal?"

Do you like books based off of other books (usually classics)?

message 906: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
I'm not sure if I've ever really read any books based off of other books. Maybe?

Do you like to play video games?

message 907: by EJ (new)

EJ | 301 comments Yuuuup. I'm really bad at some of them but I love to play them.

What's your favorite Girl Scout cookie?

message 909: by Sevania (new)

Sevania (sevthedev) | 2512 comments Nope, not really.

What's the most embarrassing thing you've ever done in public?

message 910: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
Ahaha, I've done a lot of embarrassing things. And I tend to have no shame. At camp last summer we were at line call (all of the campers and staff are lined up by the flag to make sure everyone is there and safe and whatnot) and it was really quiet and I sneeze farted. Thaaat was awkward.

Do you want a significant other if you don't have one?

message 911: by Sevania (new)

Sevania (sevthedev) | 2512 comments Well, I'd like to have a boyfriend just to see what it's like because I've never had one. But I really don't know if I'm ready for a relationship and I honestly don't think I'd make a very good girlfriend.

To what extent do book characters' names affect your inclination towards a book? Have you ever read a book on account of an intriguing name, or decided not to read a book because you really dislike a character's name?

message 912: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments Well it depends on the genre. If a character is named something weird in realistic fiction and there's no good explanation for it, it tends to turn me off. I haven't decided to read a book because of it, but I could say it's one of the reasons I decided not to read a book.

Biggest pet peeve?

Sexist people. Also homophobic people.

Do you think of yourself as a hipster?

message 914: by Sevania (new)

Sevania (sevthedev) | 2512 comments No. But I'm not a conformist either.

Have you ever written anything based off of a relationship you've been in? (Like boyfriend/girlfriend)

What is the last song you listened to?

message 917: by Sevania (new)

Sevania (sevthedev) | 2512 comments Um, Bach Concerto for 2 Violins, third movement. Actually, I was playing it. But that counts, right?

Are you writing right now?

message 919: by Sevania (new)

Sevania (sevthedev) | 2512 comments Well, obviously not RIGHT this second since I'm typing this, but I'm actually just going to after I post this comment :P

What's your most favorite piece of writing that you ever wrote? (Okay... That was awkwardly worded. The gist is there, though.)

message 920: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments What is my favorite piece I have written?

Hmmmmm…. I generally like what I write, or I wouldn't bother investing time in it. I am particularly fond of a piece that I wrote that was essentially fanfiction of something my writing partner/secretary wrote for me.

What is your favorite piece from a young writer other than yourself? Is it somewhere on the interwebs for public viewing?

message 921: by Isaac (new)

Isaac | 8014 comments GO READ LAV'S "MANIC PIXIE DREAM GIRL" IT IS WONDERFUL

What's the last dream you had that you can remember?

message 925: by Brigid ✩, No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. (new)

Brigid ✩ | 11973 comments Mod
I write down the dreams I remember, so yay! Uh this is the last one I wrote down:

I’m in a museum with some people (not sure who, whether they were my friends or family or what, but I’m pretty sure I was with some other people). The museum isn’t open yet but we’re inside of it anyway, wandering through some hallways. There are glass windows in front of the exhibits, but they’re all obscured by white curtains. Finally, we get to the center of the museum, and there’s this big hole thing that looks down at the bottom floor of the museum, surrounded by a balcony. Downstairs, we can see people wandering around in another exhibit, so we’re like, “Oh yay, the museum is open now.”

I look up at the ceiling, and there’s this map type thing of the world, and I think kind of like a dome coming out of it that also has a map of the world on it, and the map and globe are slowly spinning around to demonstrate how the world turns or whatever. And I make some comment like, “I remember when I first found out that the world is always spinning, and I couldn’t believe it because I thought that meant we would all fall off!”

... Yeah. :P

Same question?

message 926: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
Last night I dreamed about this guy I kind of like that my friends think I should date because they're ridiculous. (He's a huge jerk, though, most of the time, so meh.) But I'm the dream we ended up hanging out and talking about tons of really deep stuff and we got really close and it was pretty realistic except for the fact that we were really good friends instead of occasionally friends. And i'm pretty sure at one point we were in a hammock or something. Yeah. Kinda boring.

Do you like to work for money or get it as a gift?

message 927: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (sarah_endipity) | 819 comments Both is fine. Doesn't matter to me.

message 928: by Elliott (new)

Do you have any weird fears?

message 929: by Brigid ✩, No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. (new)

Brigid ✩ | 11973 comments Mod
Yes, I have a strange irrational fear of falling down the stairs. Also of getting sucked into the gap thing at the top of escalators. o_O Haha.

What kind of deodorant do you use (assuming you use deodorant ...)?

message 930: by Sevania (new)

Sevania (sevthedev) | 2512 comments Tom's lavender 24 hour protection :P All natural!

Hmm I'd say it was when I went to Washington D.C. with my family two years ago, and we stayed in this super cool hotel, and we met up with a bunch of relatives, and we went to the zoo and some museums and whatnot. And it was just really cool. I've never been outside of the U.S. so yeah, not that interesting. But I had a lot of fun.

What's the best birthday card you've ever received?

Do you like assigned school reading?

message 942: by Brigid ✩, No tears in the writer, no tears in the reader. (new)

Brigid ✩ | 11973 comments Mod
Uh well it heavily depends on what the book is. Some of my favorite books I only read because they were assigned reading, but I've also read some pretty horrible stuff because it was assigned reading. So, yeah.

What's your favorite class right now?

message 945: by Sevania (new)

I hear a car on the street outside my window. I hear my sister getting ready for bed in the bathroom. I hear my fingers tapping my iPad screen as I type this comment.

message 948: by Elliott (new)

Elliott | 22634 comments Mod
If it's quality writing, yes. I hate slogging through all of the horrible writing, so I tend to avoid it unless someone recommends a fan fic to me.

Are you a deeply unhappy person?
