Have you ever started a trend?

message 810: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments Yes. On Google+, there is an account with thousands of followers that posts geeky stuff a few times a day. One day, they said they could not turn the pictures into links, so they included the source at the bottom of the post. Well, the first time they did this, they accidentally called it a "sauce." I immediately called them out on it and made it a huge joke that exploded into a massive humorous conversation.

From then on, every time they had a link, they'd call it a "sauce," and in the comments, visitors would react with sauce-related symbols. (Vinegar for something offensive, ketchup for something sweet, etc.)

It's still going, I think.

Have you started a trend?

message 811: by Sum (new)

Sum | 846 comments Yes. I must have said three or twenty times that I'm Muslim, so I started wearing a new hijab style, and my friends noticed how it makes your face look more angular, so they started copying it. It's pretty awesome.

message 813: by [deleted user] (new)

I don't really drink tea. The only kind I've had is herbal and that was when I was a little kid so my taste buds weren't exactly sophisticated so I didn't like it. It might be different now, though.

What's the worst vacation you've ever been on?

message 820: by Marian (last edited Mar 07, 2013 02:25PM) (new)

Marian Thornton (black_rose3557) | 38 comments The worst vacation was when I went camping with my family to Shenandoah National Park. First of all, after about an hour of driving, we had to turn back because we forgot our tent, our food, and other things.(Don't ask me how you manage to forget your tent when your going camping *Face-palm*.)

When we finally got there, everything was fine at first. Then we woke up the next morning to thunder. The weather updates failed to tell us there was a thunderstorm coming! So with that being said, everything flooded, and we got soaking wet. I'm talking at least a foot of water going down the street. It was fun! -.-

What's the best vacation you've ever been on?

message 821: by EJ (last edited Mar 07, 2013 02:29PM) (new)

EJ | 301 comments Edit: This was a reply to WORST vacation, sorry.

I think all my vacations have been pretty good but when I went to Cape Cod my sister refused to step foot outside the beach umbrella, and it was kind of a downer on our entire family. My brother and I were off boogie boarding in the water and she was sulking in her beach chair. So then my parents felt like they needed to make her happy so we went to a bunch of places she wanted to go and... yeah, it was all right though. The worst part was probably when we came back to New York the day before a hurricane (Irene) and had to rush to get prepared.
