I am such a Brahms fan these days. I heard his first piano trio on the radio a few weeks ago and it was so beautiful I had to stay in the kitchen for the whole half an hour of it just so I'd hear it announced at the end and my life has since gone down the drain.

He's so so so good! I'd never really listened to him before that - I knew my grandfather liked him, and when I was choosing the music for his funeral I found some, but my father decided not to put it in in the end and I don't think I ever listened to it again - but hearing his first piano trio (especially the first movement - it's one of the most beautiful pieces of music I think I've ever heard) was like hearing him for the first time, or I had a new appreciation for him in a way I hadn't before.

I love it when that sort of thing happens. I gained a better appreciation of him a few months ago as well. Brahms was one of those composers I sort of grew up with, but I never really listened to him. He's great.

Honestly, this is probably the only Adam Levine song that I can listen to without gritting my teeth. It's pretty catchy."

I think I like this album even better than their first one."
Hmm, I think I need to listen to that album a few more times. I listened to it once or twice and not many of the songs stuck out to me. But maybe it will grow on me. :D

Their entire album Bookends is probably my favorite album, tbh. It really touches me in a new way every time I listen to it.

What's your favorite album? What all have you listened to?

Phil Ochs - Pleasures of the Harbor
((My favorite song and other favorite album outside of Bookends. Great, great music, it's so sad he's so underappreciated.))

I don't know about album, but love Penny Lane, When I'm 64, and Here Comes The Sun

His cover of Here Comes the Sun is pretty awesome too, if you wanted a sadder version of the song.

I accidentally tired myself out on Penny Lane (and She's Leaving Home, because for some reason out of the 60 something songs on my alarm playlist those were the only two my alarm would ever play and it gets a bit tiring after like two months). My favorite Beatles song is Hey Bulldog. I don't feel like as many people know about that song.

Love this band.

Since they put all the Beatles albums on Spotify (which I actually found out about from your Facebook post ahahaha) I've finally been actually listening to them for really the first time. It's good stuff. I still have a few albums I haven't heard yet though.

Heavydirtysoul - twenty one pilots

OH my gosh I used to listen to that all the time. We have a cd of Chuck Mangione that I would always listen to (and I think some DVD of him also). That takes me back.

It's been one of my faves for years and I kind of forgot about it until it came on in the car two days ago. Glad I found it again.
