They've already been mentioned, but I'd definitely recommend Fleet Foxes, The Head and the Heart, and Iron & Wine. Some of my other favorites are Damien Rice, Blind Pilot, Sea Wolf, and absolutely definitely Bon Iver and Volcano Choir. Andrew Bird isn't really folk but he's still great too.

Also if you like good soul music, I've been listening to Michael Kiwanuka a lot. He's got a pretty retro sound almost like Otis Redding.

Not that I'm a fluent French speaker, but Scott's accent sounds pretty good here. I've only noticed one or two slips. And I love that Kevin's doing some of the electronic bits on his cello.
