WHY? LISTEN TO HER SONG "SHAKE IT OFF" EVEN THOUGH YOUR EARS MIGHT BLEED. IT'S JUNK AND I COULD WRITE BETTER LYRICS THAN THAT.
Sorry, I'm just mad. I need to rant.

...hahaha I really actually like that song. But I get that it's a lot pop-y than her earlier stuff. But yeah, it's definitely one that gets stuck in my head. :P

I really like it too, actually. I think I read that this is her first album that will officially be labeled as 'pop'? I'm pretty sure.

Yep, that's her first pop album. Although really, I think she's always been pop with a country twist. I like her pop music a lot better, to be honest. Her "country" stuff has always been slow and boring. :P

Then again, I was raised listening to country, so yeah. But pop music gets on my nerves like crazy.
I'M SO MAD SHE'S TURNED TO THE DARK SIDE!!!!

THIS NIGHT IS SPARKLING, DON'T YOU LET IT GO!
Sorry, couldn't help myself;)

Jeremy Zuckerman - Breathing
This man is a genius and I definitely have a score crush on him.

Well, her first two albums were basically totally modern country, Speak Now was kinda borderline, Red was about 80/20, and now this.
At least Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood are sticking to their roots:/
Emeli Sandé - Breaking The Law
When you need to smile
But you can't afford it
Go on, point it out
I'm gonna steal it

I have the opposite opinion. I was raised listening to old country music, so I really can't stand anything post-1980.

Ah, that makes sense:) I sometimes can stand old country, but I was raised on Rascal Flatts.

I watched this movie on Saturday and the songs have been stuck in my head ever since then. It's taking over my life.

God, I love Hairspray.

It was so much better than I was expecting. I don't know why it took me so long to get around to watching it. I'm a little obsessed now. (view spoiler)
Marla Weiner - Colors of the Wind
If any of you are having a bad day or just need a laugh, I encourage you to listen to this cover all the way through to the end. It will make things so much better. Promise.

Jeremy Zuckerman - Voice and Movement
This guy's music satisfies my love of beauty and my affinity for oddness. A lot of his electroacoustic stuff would make really cool cues in action scenes or something.

I don't think I'll ever be able to listen to this song without getting an ache in my heart. It's so emotional.

I wish she would come out with more R&B stuff, because I really did like her first album.

The Korra Book 1 soundtrack is on my iPod. This is not a drill!

(I started listening to them because I got tickets to a New Politics concert in Lawrence and they're opening yayayay.)

Pleeeease tell me this isn't Kirstie's only solo on the album, because I need more of her belting ASAP. But anyway. I love this mashup.
