SOOOO GOOOD. That's my favorite Lorde song, gahhh.

(She's going to be at the September Boston Calling and I don't think I can go. *cries*)

message 1975: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Like, not to brag, but that song was INCREDIBLE in concert. The drums, man. AUUUGH I WANNA GO BACK.

(I'm sorry! That sounds so sucky. I hope you get to see her at some point! She's much better in concert than I thought she would be.)

Right now, I'm listening to
The Shins-September

Aack I still haven't listened to it except for the snippets Adam posted on his instragram. I really need to listen to the whole thing.

message 1978: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments I jumped on the popular music wagon a little late and fell in love with Fun.

To the point that, in 48 hours, I have memorized all their lyrics.

So…I'm looking for more stuff to listen to that's like them. Realistic but hopeful lyrics, and maybe a bit of a punk rock feel. Something I can wash dishes to and feel like world dictator. That sort of stuff.

message 1979: by Colby (new)

Colby (colbz) | 3211 comments Ah, I love Fun.! I'm kinda getting into New Politics, and they sort of have that feel, although they're different from Fun....maybe give them a try?

message 1980: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments I've only heard of them. I'll give it a shot right now. Thanks!

Wait seriously that seems so weird to me I thought everybody knew about Owl City

Don't be ashamed. It's not embarrassing at all. I don't care for Owl City, so I really wish I hadn't heard of the dude.

YESSS I LOVE FUN. Well first of all, Nate Ruess (my husband the lead singer) was previously in a band called The Format which was also really good. As for similar artists, maybe: Lydia, Passion Pit, Frank Turner, Crash Kings, Walk The Moon ... uhh I'll let you know if I think of more.

message 1986: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments Sweet, thanks. I hadn't thought about Passion Pit. That's good stuff. Thanks!

Assuming you mean The Shins, no I don't think they're touring right now ... I saw them about a year ago.

And you're welcome! Yaaay Passion Pit is awesome. :)

message 1988: by Taylor (new)

Taylor | 0 comments Yeah, I meant the Shins. Too bad they aren't touring…I ought to see them in concert someday.

Lindsey Stirling - Swag

I never thought I'd say I liked a song called "swag", but here we are. And I actually don't mind the word when it's not used in hashtags on crappy bathroom selfies.

I don't actually really love them as much as everyone else seems to? But it's good to listen to while I do homework and stuff.

I like Vampire Weekend for their instrumental aspect. Their lyrics don't really speak to me. And Campus is definitely not on my list of favorites.

Lindsey Stirling - Take Flight

Prongs. She always has one song on an album that makes me cry.
