So good. Some of the harmonies make me want to rip off my ears, but it's almost better that way.

I feel like now I have to listen to it so I can see if i want to rip my ears out as well.

It's pretty. I see what chords you're talking about. They threw me off for the first few seconds, but I prefer the parts of the song with them because then it sounds less like F major and it also gives the song a neat twist emotionally.

Lemme check.
To me, it just sounds like an F Major chord with a D-flat thrown in (and an A-flat if you count the vocals)? Like maybe she's playing around with the mode or something.

Josh Groban - Remember When It Rained
Even if this weren't a Josh Groban song, the piano part would have me sold.

I did some really close listening to the Ingrid Michaelson song, and it sounds like she's just building a half-diminished 7th on D. The chord (with the melody) is D3-C4-F4-Ab5 So nothing too out of the ordinary -- certainly "kosher" to a classically-trained composer like myself. XD

I CANNOT SING THIS SONG IT IS INFURIATING"
Omigosh are we talking about this again? I can. High five, Saru!!

NO SHAME. (is that how to use the phrase?! or is it 'i have no shame'?)

If you like that song, but not her, there is an amazing cover of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun by Greg Laswell. One of my favorite things by him, actually.
