Lori (lorilovesbooks) | 350 comments Have you read Rule or are you like me and you will be re-reading it for the second or third time?

What was your first impression of Rule?

In books I love the "bad boys" and Rule seems perfect to fill that role. I love how his hair and tattoos are described and if he was a real guy, I would totally be checking him out. In all honesty though, he came across as a jerk to Shaw and his family.

What was your first impression of Shaw?

If Shaw was a real person I would probably feel totally intimated by how beautiful she is and how she seems to be so smart and driven. She also must have the patience of a saint to deal with Rule.

What other thoughts or questions came to mind as you began Rule?

When I started the book and Remy was discussed, I was intensely curious about what happened to him and what kind of a relationship he and Shaw had.

Let us know what you think!

Shannon (shannonvm) I just started reading Rule today, before I even saw this notification so I'm really excited! I LOVE him!!!

Stephanie (ramblingsfromseks) | 34 comments I've read this twice! I loved it and the whole series. Love Jay!

Piper Lawson (piperlawson) | 31 comments This is one of my all time fave books, and one that got me hooked on NA!

I'll admit it - some of the things that might turn other off completely did it for me. I'm a sucker for Sexy McBroody types, even if they do asshole things sometimes. SO, Rule is pretty much perfect ;)

While I think Shaw cuts him a LOT of slack in this book, I still love them together. And there's something sweet about the way she's had it bad for him for so freaking long.

Def my fave book of the series, though Nash is probably second. Haven't read Asa but looking fwd to it :)

Jennifer (random jendsmit) (jendsmit) This is the book that made me fall in love with Jay's writing. Rule is awesome! I absolutely recommend this book to everyone! This a the best jumping off point for a series that just gets better and better and better!

Marilyn | 25 comments Just finished...and I absolutely loved this book. While it was heavy in some moments, it wasnt too heavy and dark, the family problems were realistic and believable. Rule? I loved Rule because to me he wasnt a bad boy, he was just real, he was loving, and just needed to feel loved. Shaw was like a breath of fresh air compared to some other heroines we read about. Although, it took her awhile to just be herself, she too knew what she wanted and went after it. She wasnt needy and whiney and most of all she wasnt a runner. She stuck with it.

So true. It drives me nuts when leading ladies are flaky, needy, etc. Yay for books with female leads who are strong, smart AND sexy!

Angie (strippedmiller) I read this some months ago and loved it. Rule was hot, adorable and I could feel his struggle to be perfect for Shaw. It was too cute and endearing. and I loved Shaw's loyalty and love for Rule. The Remy storyline was a bit predictable but still adds well to the book. Plus the sex scenes were pretty hot ;)

Planning to read Jet and the other books of the series soonish

Becca | 4 comments this was the first N/A book i had ever read in feb 2013 and i have to say it kick started a big secret reading obsession with this genre.
I love the broody moody type with tatts and attitude and this book had it in buckets. The story with Rule and Shaw was believable because it doesnt run fairytale smooth which makes much more believable without losing the cute factor, plus the sex scenes...... HOT!
The rest of the series is brilliant as well but this one will always be my all time favourite and i would definiatly recommond to anyone.

Zili (ziliinthesky) | 22 comments I love Rule and even though I have an epically long TBR I always make time for another reread! The series is one of my favs but I'll always love Rule for being the first Marked Man!!

Stephanie Thompson (sthompson1669) | 18 comments I absolutely loved this book, and I completely devoured it. It made me happy, it made me sad, and ohh did it really piss me off. There were times when I had to put the book down thinking "I cannot DEAL with what is happening."
Mind you I haven't read this book completely in a couple of years and have recently started rereading it. I recently read Jet and am halfway through Rome, I have all of the books and absolutely love this series, it is really addicting.
Rule is so gorgeous too, I love him and Shaw. But by gods something about a tatted-up-blue-eyed-hair-colour-changing bad boy that just makes your ovaries explode.

Cézanne Hayden-Dilbert (cezannebcs) | 7 comments I loved Rule!! I first read it maybe a year and half ago. I can not believe I waited so long. He was such a perfect bad boy. I loved that he was himself no matter what. Shaw was so different from how I initially thought she would. She had some fire in her.

Zili (ziliinthesky) | 22 comments I love Rule and have been a big Jay fan for ages (I got to meet her at a signing last year *epic fan girl moment*).

I loved Rule's snarky troubled attitude from the start and his honest approach to his hookups made me smile. On a side note one of my best friends is called Gabriel and we call him Rule so it was weird that the MC was Rule and the bad guy a Gabe!

I wanted to give Shaw a big hug and tell her to find somebody else until Rule notices her awesomeness but this was before I realised she couldn't ever move on.
