Kenna I read this book for a book club at school and thought it was amazing! That was a while ago, but now a sequel is coming out in March, yet I already have it! But back to this book, I loved how it was funny and full of adventure. I also liked the characters and how suspensful the book was.

What did you like about the book?

Kristy Hunter I loved both books. I love to re-read books and I have re-read The False Prince at least 3 times. The Runaway King was not quite as good as The False Prince but was just if not more thrilling. I can't wait to find out what happens to Sage in the 3rd book.

I liked this book because it reminds me of one of my favorite books The Thief by Megan Whalen Turner. Sage and Gen are so much alike. Both smart and clever; and both not what they seem.

I like books with protagonists like Sage. He is good but does not always make the right choices; and because of this he agonizes over the outcome. He is brave but afraid that he is not good enough. He is witty and values friendship.

I loved the story but it is Sage that makes the book great.

Monica I have pick my brain for like an hour trying to remember what happen in this book. And why i put the second one on my list to read. Even my remarks about the first doesnt remind me about what happen. I hate when this happens. Good grief i can only assume since i gave it a 3.5 that i did the following for a fantasy: i completed the book, it had some adventure and i liked at least a couple of the characters and that im willing to attempt book 2.

Janae I have used False Prince as a read aloud to 4th Graders. We discuss first person voice, prediction, and the power of foreshadowing. My "reluctant reader" boys are eating out of hand for another adventure story. Great middle grade read!

Sara I loved this book, I can't wait to read the second part!

BookDeliria (Dia) Me too, I'm 19 but this book still pulled my book-heart-strings. It's awesome! :)) I cant wait for the next book.

Jaina Rose I love the False Prince!! I have to admit, I saw the "surprise ending" from the minute I read the tab. I literally turned to my mother and said, "This is gonna happen. Period."
But she spun me around so much throughout the story, that I was still surprised when my confident prediction came true! Sage is a marvelously unreliable narrator, and while I love Runaway King I have to say I loved this one just a little bit more.

soo cool
but i KNEW he was prince, after i realised he was always planning ahead xD

Claudia the Night Owl I rather liked this wish I could get a hold of the second one already.

Nicole I love how alive the characters were for me and how Sage kept everything a secret. I love the part where he steals back the rock and does not let anyone know where it is.

Emma I really enjoyed this book! I liked this book a lot more than I thought I would! I got it at the book fair and was kind of hesitant about buying this book, but it was definitely worth the buy!

Keely I LOVED it! I thought that the adventure was fun and original. I actually believed Sage was an Avenian orphan until he said, "I am your Prince." I'm having a hard time deciding wether Sage is really smart or incredibly reckless.

Hannah I listened to this as an audiobook and I couldn't stop! it was such a good book! cant wait to read (or listen) to the next book!

Jazz I listened to the audiobook as well for this book. I loved it. It is one of my favorite books because I love the character Sage and especially Mott. It was because the first book was so great that I read The Runaway King and I honestly loved that one as well. It wasn't the same as the first book but it was unique in its own way. I can't wait until the 3rd. book.

Keely I listend to it, too!! I stayed up way to late that night!!! I just couldn't stop!!!

Tita Mirra I love this book so much!!! I also love The Runaway King and I think Jennifer Nielsen is a terrific writer :)

Me too!! =)

Rebecca Pierce MAY CONTAIN SUBTLE SPOILERS!

You know, a lot of people make comments that really reveal the ending. Sort of "wink, wink" kind of things that instantly alert people to the conclusion. In other words, people are not subtle enough, and yet give no warning about spoilers. For instance, putting Sage's name in quote marks is rather obvious. I had already figured out how it would end before I even knew about Goodreads, but I still enjoy the anticipation, the vague feeling that perhaps you were wrong after all. After looking at a few discussion forums it was painfully clear how it would end. I just think that unless you want to spoil it for others, you should think about being more discreet or putting up a spoiler warning. After all, many of you seem to think the best part was the mysteriousness and Sage's cleverness, so don't take that away from first time readers! Let them enjoy the unknown as well!

Yuli This book is amazing! I fell in love with Sage. All of the surprises at the end totally caught me off guard. When i finished the book I was saying to myself, "How could I not see that coming!?"

Aptly said. Couldn't do better if I tried. I was one of those for whom the book was ruined due to spoilers so yes olz do be a bit more discreet

Rebecca Pierce Thank you Randi, sorry it was ruined for you as well.

Anna Completely agree about the spoilers. That was the best part of the story! Everything leading up to the chosen prince was very well written. :)
P.S. Continuing on spoilers: I love watching Doctor Who. Back when I was just starting the show, I accidentally came across a spoiler. All it was was a name, but it ruined it. :/ It would have been nice to find out on the show, but hey, c'est la vie!

Sorrel I loved this book! The whole premise was awesome and I just loved the characters. It was subtly sort of fantasy as well as being... just a really good story. loved it so much. Haven't read any of the sequels yet though.
Eliza- which name was it? With the hiding spoiler tag, thing.

Sammy Spoiler!!

I thought it was so good! Really enjoy reading the other ones as well. Although the last one, Shadow Throne, was kinda slow: the only good part being when Imogen was discovered not dead.

River. The spoiler let slip who she was.

I loved this book! I think it's still is my favorite. It was adventurous, mysterious, Medieval, and still had the integrated romance and friendship.
