After you've created an account and added your current reading and favorite books to our group page, you might try downloading the Goodreads app to your phone and iPad. This makes posting updates very convenient and gives you another way of seeing what this site can do. (This will be especially useful for any of you who might be thinking of using Goodreads as part of your outside reading assignment for your students.)
