Reddington loved his sideline flesh peddling business but went to extreme lengths to shield his family from learning anything about it. How do you think someone like him reconciles these contradictions?

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments I think he had to be a sociopath, a man with no conscience. He certainly could not imagine that his own family could fall prey to his types of crime, or maybe that's why he isolated them as completely as he was able.

Agreed! He was also a narcissist who surrounded himself with sycophants. If he hadn't gotten caught, I think he might have ended up killing his son, Lance.

Charlene (charlenethestickler) | 1392 comments There is that possibility. Something like the older son in the previous LCR story who didn't measure up to his dad's "standards."

He knows what he is doing is wrong but his own need of "power" is stronger. He took drastic measures removing his family from civilization.
