message 15: by Victoria (new)

Victoria Zigler (toriz) | 4472 comments I want to read the Percy Jackson series, which has been sitting on my Kindle waiting for me to read it since last year.

Other than that, my goal is to just read as many as I can of the books on my "to read" list. The plan is to focus on books I've had copies of for a while, though I expect there will be some I read that I got more recently.

Alison Morquecho (thebookishcamper) | 787 comments Oh goodness way too much! Lol. I am gonna b rereading the lunar chronicles. And reading throne of glass series, and raven boys. And reread unwind and then the rest of the series. I have so much on my list, I just don't know what to read!

message 18: by Tracy (new)

Tracy Fenwick | 15 comments Where to start!! I have about 250 books on my TBR list plus about 150 on my Amazon wish list! I'm going to the US for a month so I'm hoping to read the first 4 books in the Out of the Box series (Robert J Crane) whilst I'm there - I've been storing them up ready! The Girl in the Box series was amazing so I've got high hopes for this one. If I manage to read all 4 I'll maybe finish the Selection series.

Plus there's so many books on my wish list that I can pick while over in the US too so I'll be adding to the TBR whilst on holiday!! Like, The Ruby Red trilogy, the final 2 books in the Splintered series and This Shattered World

Irene (raenne) @Robin, that's a great list! I've read The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1) by Rick Yancey and didn't like it, but I looooved City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1) by Cassandra Clare and have reread it several times - for some reason I never read the rest. Crazy, right?! I just bought A Thousand Pieces of You (Firebird, #1) by Claudia Gray yesterday, so I'm currently waiting on it to arrive :)

Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments I just found a good new author and book. Autumn in the City of Angels (The Autumn Series, #1) by Kirby Howell Here is my review:
https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

Now I am starting the next in the series: Autumn in the Dark Meadows (The Autumn Series, #2) by Kirby Howell
Also reading the very long book Outlander (Outlander, #1) by Diana Gabaldon

AGirlAmongstBooks (Jess Green) (agirlamongstbooks) I tried reading Outlander...we chose it for the bookclub. But I found it extremely wordy...lol. I know it's an odd thing to say about a book but I just felt like the descriptions of some scenes etc were soo drawn out.

message 38: by Donna (new)

Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments Jessica, Outlander was a bit hard to get into because of the descriptiveness in some cases but I just hung in and am loving it. I have to add that it is also very long. So I am reading other books and taking breaks once in a while.

I'm listening to this one on audio and just taking my time with it. I interrupted it to listen to David's newly released audios of The Dweller Saga but will switch over if I'm trying to fall asleep. The narrator's voice is soooooo soothing! :)

message 41: by Donna (new)

Donna (donanicole) | 897 comments Oh, I think I will get the narration to listen to on my morning walks! Thank you.

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments @Jessica I couldn't agree more about Outlander! I started it a few months ago and between the Scottish brogue and the wordiness I ended up putting it down and did not finish it....I feel like the book needs a good editing. I may go back and try again at some point but not anytime soon.

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments My summer reading list includes:

1. Since You've Been Gone.
2. The Fill In Boyfriend.
3. Second Chance Summer.
4. A Court of Thorns and Roses.
5. An Ember In The Ashes.
6. Cruel Beauty.
7. Shadow and Bone.
8. To All The Boys I've Loved Before.
9. P.S. I Still Love You.
10. Raven Boys.

Rose (The_Calm_Reader) (roselittlebookowl75) | 1372 comments @Holli I just finished Cress last night and omg I loved it so much! The Lunar Chronicles is my favorite series ever!!! I can't wait for Winter!!! I will be pre-ordering it for sure!!!

AGirlAmongstBooks (Jess Green) (agirlamongstbooks) @Rose exactly a good editing is what it needs! I started watching the show and enjoyed it quite a bit but then fell behind a few episodes and then just gave up...smh.

Nothing shows true love more than when you hubby builds you a bookshelf <3 (I think he got tired of piled books all over our bedroom!)

This holds most of my summer TBR, probably a lot of fall too!
