chapter 1-9 (view spoiler)[ So far so good. Yesterday I had to force me to put down this one, because I'm liking it a lot. Jazz is a good character, I found him fascinating and intriguing. And I like his best friend... but I think that Connie is a little bit naive. I mean: your boyfriend is a son of a serial killer and he's going to New York to catch another serial killer. I would be scared for the dear life to go with him!!!! There are like a milion things that can go wrong! (hide spoiler)]

I love this book and this series. It's so addicting and entertaining. I'm glad I'm taking this one a little slower. But it's just as good as the first one.

finished (view spoiler)[I really, really, really hate cliffhanger! You can't end a book like that!!! But, ending apart, I really enjoy the reading. Jazz is a very complex and intriguing charachter... sometimes he reminds me of Hannibal Lecter (even if Jazz is basically good and Hannibal... well, he's no good at all!) and I was really and totally hooked up by this book. I loved also Howie and Sam, they're really good characters, but now I am a little bit scared (again, I know!) but... what if Sam is not a serial killer, she's not Ugly J, but, intead, Ugly J is Jazz mother?? I need to read the next and I need it ASAP!!!!!!!! (hide spoiler)]

Chapters 1-12

What a way to start a book. I also love that Jazz is still struggling with his sociopathic father and if he'll turn out like him. And what is his father doing in New York? I wonder if Jazz will run into him.

I have read the first 100 pages over again and this time I notice things I did not really notice the first time I read this book it makes it so much better. I still love all of the characters especially Jazz and his friends I liked how they interacted together so far and reading it before means I know things that make Jasper's dreams all that more creepy in the right context. I like how the plot is moving so far with going from character and including incites of the killer this book is really good so far. I really liked how the mystery has started not much has happened yet.

I love this book and this series! Jazz is back in NYC trying to help find the Hat-Dog killer. Somehow the Hat-Dog Killer, the Impressionist, and Billy Dent are all linked, but I don't know how yet. Also, someone is sending Connie texts and now she's about to dig something up at Billy Dent's old house...wonder what it is??

I love Jazz and his friends too, and Jazz's worry that he'll turn out like Billy.

I am 211 pages into this book right now what is happening is things about the killer are being slowly unraveled. The characters are still very interesting I really like how all of the characters are dealing with the situations and how everything is coming together so well. I really like this book so far the mystery and thriller aspect is developing at a very good pace.

I agree with you Cindee. I am really liking the pacing of this book, its back and forth between the locations of NYC and Nob's Hill, and the seemingly (view spoiler)[two separate serial killers in place, or maybe even three! (hide spoiler)]. I love this series so far!!

The action is getting good. Connie is in NYC again following some texts she's getting from someone - Billy? Jazz is in NYC and is chasing down the Dog killer with the help of Morales from the FBI. Howie is going to try and figure out if Jazz's aunt Samantha is Ugly J. So many lines of intrigue.

I loved this book and this series! Billy Dent is the ultimate psychopath and I feel bad for his son Jazz. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Connie, Howie and Jazz are all in a pretty bad place at the end of this book!!
