Ideas for discussion topics

We'd like your feedback about what sort of things you'd like to discuss in our bookclub. Do you have a topic you'd like to discuss? Or a book you'd really like to talk about?

We'd like to get more discussions going in the club, so we'd love to know how you think we can do this.

Is it worth considering linking what is done in this group to what the library displays are? Say if there is a display about poetry or particular historical event or a celebration of a noted author, having some targeted discussion about it here too, whether about what books we’ve enjoyed about it, any books we’d recommend to others, suggestions about what books from the library catalogue to include in a display etc.

Or another idea, how about promoting this group within the library? I know about it because I use Goodreads (obviously), but I wonder how many other library patrons know about Goodreads, let alone this group? It is not so much about promoting Goodreads as a business, but rather a place for Cambridge library patrons to connect outside the physical library.

Thanks for all these suggestions. I think you're right - we need to promote it more within the library. I'm going to make up some flyers about the club. I like your other suggestion too. I'm going to discuss it with Russell and Darren. Thanks!
