25.13 - Morgan (FaeriesFolly)'s task: It's not Usagi

Second attempt: SUCCESS!!
Melissa wrote: "For Option 3, I'm thinking about

Though I do like her style!
I think I am caught up again to this point (everything added to either post 2 or post 3). If I missed you, don't be shy!

I didn't realize that was a doll on the cover. I could read China Dolls for option 3 since it was approved already.

Whoops! She is, that's what happens when I don't enlarge the thumbnail. Off to the mines again... :p
Jenifer wrote: "Do you have to see the head for option 3? I was thinking of reading this one:
"No head needed...at least not on the cover. ;) I'm sure she needs it in general. I'll add it to the approved post.

I did that once where I thought it was a flower, but then I got the physical book and it was a dress underwater and...yeah... lol.
Ok, back-up idea:
by Christopher Moore to fit Option 2. I think that's a full circle of moon with the fool standing in it.
Sorry if this was answered already but do subtitles count for the number in the title option? My book is called Please Excuse this Poem: 100 new poets for the next generation. Thanks!!!
Melissa wrote: "Ok, back-up idea:

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you!
I came to ask this and found I have the same question as Nicole in post 61: do subtitles count for Option 5?If Nuns Ruled the World: Ten Sisters on a Mission
Nicole wrote: "Sorry if this was answered already but do subtitles count for the number in the title option? My book is called Please Excuse this Poem: 100 new poets for the next generation. Thanks!!!"
Only numbers in titles work for option 5, but no one else asked it and it's always best to get things clear for yourself when slogging through the old TBR looking for books. :)
Julia wrote: "I came to ask this and found I have the same question as Nicole in post 61: do subtitles count for Option 5?If Nuns Ruled the World: Ten Sisters on a Mission"
Only titles work, so if they had just swapped the title/subtitle (which I actually like the sound of) it would have. aka: Ten Sisters on a Mission: If Nuns Ruled the world.
But Vol.1 and things of that nature count as part of the title. Anything before the :

Curses, foiled again!!!!
(I had also wanted to use One Thousand and One Nights: A Retelling for Option 1 - but no one (or enough people) have shelved it as such. :( This looks like such an easy task for me but I'm coming up short for a second book.)
Melissa wrote: "Morgan wrote: "Melissa wrote: "Ok, back-up idea:

And it would also work for the Diversity task since the author is Lebanese. (Just off the cuff. It's still early and I can't stop slotting books. :P)
Morgan wrote: "Melissa wrote: "Morgan wrote: "Melissa wrote: "Ok, back-up idea:

I think I'll dig around in my unread romance novels - lots of ladies on covers there. ;)
ETA: I think I have it!
is out in ebook now, but will publish on 6/9 in paperback coming in at 162 pages. Option 3 covered :)

If you happen to see the other book with the genre on it feel free to poke and get the genre verified. If I'm not working, I'm basically reading/on the computer.

In a total moment of serendipity, the book that didn't qualify sucked and I saw a book at the library that is on my TBR and didn't strike me as a fit when running my eyes down my list but hit me when seen in the flesh! I am going to read:
99 Days
Don't you just love when stuff like this happens? :) now to contemplate the second book I am choosing for this task...
Nicole wrote: "Morgan wrote: "Nicole wrote: "Sorry if this was answered already but do subtitles count for the number in the title option? My book is called Please Excuse this Poem: 100 new poets for the next gen..."I absolutely love when stuff like that happens!
It can weirdly just make your whole day. haha. At least for me. XD
Nicole wrote: "Would this count for option 3? I have been home hunting for it!

Adding both to the approved post to maybe help others find something (I can't be the only one who looks through those posts. lol.)

No I love looking at the lists! much easier than scrolling through the entire thread and I get inspirations. I can't seem to collect enough books for the TBR

I started this to shrink my TBR...I think it is close to double what it was when I started 3 seasons ago. lol.

And yep UG and MG+ are ok with no restrictions.

"I don't know if I slept too much or not enough today. haha. This is the first one for 3 that I really had to look at, but I'm pretty sure that: a) that's a girl and b) she's alone. I will admit to squinting for far longer than probably necessary though. lol.
Approved :D
Book Concierge wrote: "Option 3 ... can you tell this is a woman on the porch?
"I'm going to have to say no on this one, but only because it just looks like one person shaped blur/shadow. There's not really anything to distinguish it to me as male or female. Sorry!
Lorraine wrote: "Does this work for option 2? The stars lead to me believe this is a moon:
Thanks!"
I would also guess that's a moon from the stars, but the plane and the cloud both break up the circle of the moon so it wouldn't count for that option. I have seen it approved for several other tasks though so I'm sure you'll be able to find a slot for it!
Can I please confirm for the 'numbers' option that only the Title itself and not the subtitle would be acceptable. So 2001: A Space Odyssey would be ok but The Medieval WorldThe Birth of Europe: 400-1500 would not.

Morgan, thanks-totally missed the broken circle issue :/ Ugh.
I also had it slotted for a crooked letter author, so maybe I'll just use it there.

Correct. Only the title itself counts.

I spent the weekend moving stuff around again, so I feel you. I know I have seen in mentioned a few times though...I just can't remember where.
would this count for option 2? The clouds encroach ever so slightly, but it seems evident to be a full moon.
puppitypup wrote: "would this count for option 2? The clouds encroach ever so slightly, but it seems evident to be a full moon.
"I had to expand this one, but the circle of the moon can be seen THROUGH the clouds that overlap it, so that means it CAN be used for option 2. But only because the outline can still be seen.
puppitypup wrote: "Would this work for option 3? I don't think it's a silhouette, but I'm not sure.
"I'd say this is good, because it just looks like a woman under a blue tint. :D
Melanie wrote: "Can I get confirmed for the following:Option 2:
A Fatal Graceand
Option 5:

is good for option 2and Knit One, Kill Two definitely has counting numbers for option 5. :D
